This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who have been testing brand new range of cold-pressed baby food, My First Savsé.

Here’s what Guka, the founder of Savsé has to say: “When we looked at manufactured baby food, we realised babies weren’t getting the nutrients they deserved. Refusing to feed my own child pasteurised product, I wanted to push boundaries and create the freshest baby food possible. After all, real food isn’t just for adults.

This is why we created My First Savsé – Europe’s first cold-pressed, HPP baby food that’s as good as homemade. Unlike heat pasteurised baby food – which experiences a shocking 40% reduction in nutritional value – with My First Savsé the nutritional value of our 100% Organic, Grade A fruit and veg is never* compromised.

*Source: Fruselva Laboratories, July 2017 (tests carried out vs. heat pasteurised competitor x)”

Also from My First Savsé: “By cold-pressing our fruit and veg we don’t strip the goodness, replacing heat pasteurisation in favour of non-thermal High Pressure Processing (HPP) to ensure all vital nutrients are locked into each pouch, removing any nasties without compromising on taste or quality.

A busy parent will have to make a million compromises on a daily basis, but quality nutrition for their baby should never be one of them. However, with 1 in 4 parents unable to prepare homemade baby food due to work pressures, many have been forced to rely on heat pasteurised options bought in-store, with a sell by date often older than the babies themselves! But compromise no more. Our brand new cold-pressed baby food range, My First Savsé, has solved the problem - because babies deserve real food too.

Unlike heat pasteurised baby food, you won’t find My First Savsé in the baby aisle - oh no. You’ll find it in the chiller, alongside all the other fresh products!”

Testers, once the products are finished, please answer the below questions as well as leaving any other feedback you have:

1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

We’d also love to see some photos of your little one testing My First Savsé cold-pressed baby food, so please share on the thread if you can.

If you’d like to share your experience on social media, please do using the hashtag #myfirstsavse

All testers who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No I didn't know that, but I had never really looked for them!

2.Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

My daughter loved all the flavours, they all went down really well.

3.How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

More savoury options would be good. I think they offered a better range of frunity flavours than you usually find.

4.Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

No, I would be too worried about the possibility of bugs being in the pack or them being left out of the fridge for to long.

5.Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

No probably not. I found that my daughter would only eat half the pack and with such a short pack life once they had been opened it meant we wasted a lot of food. As an expensive baby food I couldn't justify buying a pack that I was throwing half of it away every time!

Despite my daughter really enjoying the packs I wouldn't buy them. Make the pack half the size and I might be tempted as a special treat!

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I didn't know there werent any chilled baby food products before savse. It wouldn't change my shopping habits. I tend to look in the baby aisle for food and snacks so wouldn't necessarily look in the fridge areas.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
They all went down well. She didn't refuse any of them.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
I guess just A variety of flavours. I only really stuck with fruit and veg flavours for a couple of weeks when weaning. The other brands seem to be all of a muchness. I'm not brand loyal and will literally buy what's on offer. Pouches for us are used for days out so they aren't something I buy in bulk.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
All depends on the price. My daughter liked them and it was nice to have them on a hot day. But a couple of them got wasted as they had to be used within 12 hours. It's nice to know it's healthy but being on mat pay means limited funds.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
To mix with other brands then yes, I would, but I probably wouldn't say to get them on their own. They were nice as a one off but As they can be wasteful I wouldn't want my friends to be out of pocket.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No really, I like the idea of a chilled and very fresh baby food being available in supermarkets but I wouldn't seek them out as part of my regular shop.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The plain apple purée went down a storm with DS! Tried some myself and was actually quite shocked at how fresh it tasted.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I don't think the recipes need improving at all but the odd combination of flavours might be off putting for potential customers. Savsé offers parents the opportunity to introduce new foods to their babies without the hassle of buying and preparing it themselves. Also the freshness of the food is a massive plus in comparison to other brands.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I wouldn't personally but the main reason for this is that I tend to make the majority of my baby food from scratch. I use baby food in supermarkets as inspiration for recipes and to trial new flavours before buying the ingredients.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I definitely would recommend Savsé to my more adventurous friends as it cannot be beaten on food combinations and imagination. The freshness and quality of the ingredients is obvious from the first taste.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
No I wasn't aware of this, it sounds like a good idea however the practicalities mean I couldn't take a pouch out with me due to the need to keep them chilled, so I might buy the odd one to have at home as my 11 month old loved them
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
She enjoyed the one with lentils and the cacao one the best
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
Perhaps some meat/ poultry based flavours for a change, there's too much sugar to constantly give the current pouches as all contain apple
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
As a dessert probably yes, as I do like the idea no nutrients are lost
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? Only if they did more research, as it seems quite a few babies suffered with digestive problems, so I wouldn't recommend them at this moment in time. My 11th month old was fine but then she has been weaned from 6 months and has a strong digestive system. So perhaps not suitable for younger babies yet.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I knew there was chilled pet food, yes. Will it change the way I shop? Unlikely. I don't feed my pets raw/chilled food.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
It's difficult to say as he is still 'spoon averse'. He tends to like foods with sweet potato in so I'll say that one!
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
There needs to be more savoury options. I was surprised at how fruit heavy they were. Goes against the grain of what is advised re: starting to wean with veg.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
I wouldn't NOT buy it, but it would need to be alongside the other baby food. I wouldn't search it out in the chilled aisles.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
If there was a specific need to, I don't see why not. But my small hasn't really tried them to say he loved them unfortunately. I was hoping these would provoke his interest.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I didn't know there was chilled pet food! No, it won't change the way I shop.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
He liked them all.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
I think reducing the amount of apple would be a good move. I used these with my 21 month old as he was going through a phase of only eating a few things, so thought it would be a good way of getting fruit and veg into him. The percentage of apple is so high that all the pouches taste sweet, I would not use these for weaning as a baby wouldn't get a variety of flavours with these pouches. I think they are fairly similar to other pouches on offer, but they are very expensive.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
Only if it was a similar or better price than other baby foods. I honestly don't think heat treating food affects it all that much, and treated pouches keep much longer and don't have to be kept chilled so they are more versatile.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
I'd probably mention it as they went down well with my toddler, and they're fruit and veg only, but I think the price would be an issue.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No, I did not know this. It probably won't change the way I shop.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The one with cocoa

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I'm not keen on mixing fruits and vegetables as feel that babies should learn that not all food is sweet. If vegetables are mixed with fruits from the beginning, it means babies may not develop a taste for savoury foods. I think there is more variety available with other brands.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Need to have more info about the benefits of cold pressing over heat pasteurising.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Probably not. Although my child didn't have any adverse reaction to these pouches, the fact that others did and the poor response from the brand has left a bad taste in my mouth (excuse the pun!) so I don't think I'd recommend My First Savse. Also I'm not that keen on the flavour combinations or the fact that the pouches are predominantly apple based. Also, these are very expensive for what they are.

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I didn't know and don't think it will change my shopping

2.Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
My children liked them all. They had some mixed with porridge or yoghurt, one as a pasta sauce and others on their own.

3.How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

They were all really runny which made it hard for my 16mo to feed herself. They were interesting flavour combinations which I haven't seen from other brands. They were all very sweet and although I regularly use pouches I go for the most savoury ones with green veg in to use with pasta etc.

4.Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Possibly but i don't think I'm organised enough to have pouches which need to be refrigerated.

5.Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
I would as they were tasty and a good idea but I don't think they are the most convenient because of needing refrigeration.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I wasn't aware of this and frankly this has no relevance to how I'd feed my children!

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

My baby is older- 18 months so I tried the pouches on her and her older sister as a snack. They both slurped them happily- the one with Cacao went down well. Neither were keen on the ones containing peas or beetroot.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I didn't like that despite the names on the pouches they were all predominately stewed apple. Even the savoury ones were very sweet. The names of the pouches suggested they contained more vegetables.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I really don't understand the point of these pouches. When I was weaning my babies, I liked the convenience of pouches when travelling, on holiday or visiting people because i could have a few in my bag and know that I had something suitable for them to eat. When we were at home, we followed baby led weaning and they ate what we ate or I prepared meals fresh for them. These pouches have to be kept in the fridge so are no good for travelling. The health claims are not relevant to me as I was happy to accept the slight loss of nutritional value in processed baby food as I didn't use them as the main part of my baby's diet. I usually prepared my children's food from scratch.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

No, I wouldn't recommend it. In fact today I mentioned them to a friend with a weaning baby and she said that she had seen the advertised and was horrified at the cost. She too couldn't understand the need for this product. Sorry!

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
No I wasn't aware. It probably won't change the way I shop though.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
Unsurprisingly his favourites were the fruity ones - the 100% apple and the Blueberry, prune, plum, apple, banana.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
There was a LOT of fruit in all of the pouches, even the "veggie" ones were mostly fruit. I'd be worried that my child will then not eat savoury foods when moving onto "proper solids". As it is, we are doing mostly BLW but he has a pouch like this a couple of times a week as a treat, so I know he'll eat savoury things (and plain vegetables) without needing to sweeten it with fruit.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
Yes definitely, but only if it was on offer. It is incredibly expensive for what it is.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
Yes, I know it contains more of the good stuff because it's not been heat treated.

Unfortunately I couldn't review the Lentils, sweet potato, carrot and apple flavour because the pouch had split on arrival (see pic).
I was disappointed that it said once open use within 12 hours, especially as the use by date is around a month. As mentioned earlier, my DS only has a bit as a treat every now and then, so he usually only has half a pouch at a time. I couldn't do that with these or I would have had to throw it away!

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No, I did not know this; after another product test by Mumsnet I have started buying chilled Little Dish products but they are aimed at older toddlers. It probably won't change the way I shop though.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

He loved them all. Had them more like smoothies as he is past first weaning stage. Cocoa one an especial hit but liked all of them.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

They taste much better than ordinary pouches, you could really detect the difference, and they feel much healthier and more like home-made. But I'd like to see more complete meals in the pouches, eg. more lentils/pulses, less reliance on apples.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Yes, the taste is certainly much fresher. But I'd probably only just get it as a special treat as it's more pricey than usual and requires refrigeration. However, DS certainly loved it.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes, I thought they tasted great and for a substitute for home-made I would recommend. Only probably a bit strong for 4 month olds. They definitely feel more like a luxury brand though.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I really loved the idea of these pouches, but in reality they're not practical. I tend to buy pouches for on the move and being chilled I can't really do that with these ones.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The Coconut and Cacao

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

They need more texture. I love the range of flavours, but texture is very important in my little one's diet.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Probably not, due to the lack of texture and the fact that taking them on the move would be difficult. I might have bought them when my little one was 6 months and was first moving from breast milk to solids.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I might for the very first stages of weaning due to the consistency, although I would be slightly wary of recommending due to reading about other people's bad experiences.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No, I wasn't aware that this was the case but as I didn't know or think about it, so it wasn't really a concern for me or my baby! However as it has been brought to my attention I would try and get the My First Savsé, but mainly because my little boy loves them and not for any other reason!
It won't change the way I shop as I don't have any of the retailers who stock it in store near to me.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
My 18 moth old loved the Plum, Apple & Banana and I think (!) this was his favourite one. However he did pretty much loved them all, but as he loves Blueberry above all fruit, I think that was the one he liked best as he gobbled it down the fastest!!
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

The only pouch he wasn't too keen on was the Carrot, Pumpkin, Apple & Beetroot. I also tasted this one and the Beetroot did seem to dominate the other flavours and he's not really had beetroot so this may have been why he didn't like it as much!
I really liked the taste of the pouches too, they did seem slightly sharper in taste than the pouches he usually has, but he loved them so I dont think this was a problem.
I would say that the tastes are slightly stronger than other baby pouches, but this is a great way too introduce new flavours to little taste buds.

It would be great if I could keep the pouches for longer than 12 hours once opened as some of the flavours he wasn't too keen on and when he doesn't normally like new flavours I like to leave it and try again with his next meal, and then next and so on!

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
Yes I would get them, but I don't think I'd specially order them online unless I was doing a shop online anyway. Please stock in other supermarkets.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
Yes I would,as they do seem a lot more natural that other baby pouches, and as I don't always time to make my own this would be a great way to get natural goodness into my little ones...

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I wasn't aware of chilled pet food available, it wont change the way I shop for my little one.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

My son seemed to like most of them, however id say the lentils, sweet potato, carrot & apple was his favourite.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I found the sweet and savoury combination to be quite strange.
The consistency was also quite watery for some of them.
Definately need more savoury recipes, some were perhaps a bit too sweet.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I find them to be a bit on the expensive side, and i worry that the sweetness of them will lead my son to crave sweet food later on.
The fact they are never heat pasturised is great, but my other 3 children turned out fine having eating heat pasteurised foods.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

No. They are over priced and too sweet, you can get better in store that are cheaper.

I had no idea! I think the my first savse appealed to my little one a lot, she loved the flavour, i tried some myself and it's lovely and fresh!

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

Coconut cacao apple and banana

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

Could you do more meal options? Even if these were vegetarian?

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I would if the price was right, I think I would have liked them as a first food for my baby but as she is now 1, I could only really use them as a snack rather than a meal.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes, as a first baby food as they are fresh and have a great variety of flavours as first tastes.

  3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets? I think the savoury ones need to be more savoury as like I say they were all sweet. I liked them but don't find them massively different.
  4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why? Dependent on price. They also seemed to affect my son's digestion, giving very loose nappies.

1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one? No, I wasn't aware that there was either chilled pet food or chilled baby food.
2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range? She loved ALL of them!!
3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets? It is just as good, but the fact that it has a short shelf life can work against it. Also, it needs to stay chilled, whereas there are a range of baby food pouches available that can be kept for however long and is at room temperature, making it ready to use as in immediately.
4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why? Yes, I would, but only if it was the same price as other baby food pouches in the market.
5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? I would definitely recommend My First Savse baby food, as my LO absolutely loved each one and devoured them all off with no fuss!!

I didn’t, but it does seem ridiculous now you’ve pointed that out!

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

He loved all of them, I really couldn’t pick out one, they were all wolfed down in about 5 seconds!

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I’m not sure if the pouches are smaller than others on the market, but they definitely seemed it. I love the pouches which are pure fruit/sweet rather than savoury, because my little boy sucks them straight out the pouch, which I think is fine for fruit as it’s like a smoothie, but I don’t really like the idea of him sucking out a savoury ‘meal’!

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I would as long as the price was competitive.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes if the price is competitive. I love the way the pouches are produced and how much healthier they are, although because I like to keep them in my bag as emergencies, the fact they need to be chilled or eaten within 6 hours isn’t always convenient for me and how I like to use pouches.

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
No - I wasn't aware. To be completely honest, while I do understand and appreciate the theory behind cold pressing food - I only occasionally use baby pouches, opting for home cooking wherever possible. When I do buy pouches, I do so for convenience - for instance when travelling - so a pouch that needs to be refrigerated loses a massive portion of its convenience. So the answer is - probably not.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
He loved them all! We were just at the start of our weaning journey and all the flavours and textures appeal to him (but then again, so does any food we put in front of him!)
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
All of the savse pouches contained fruit. In my personal opinion, through experience with my first son and my own research, it is important that babies try many different vegetable tastes at the beginning. Although the fruit will obviously make the purees appealing to babies, some veg only offerings would make the range better in my eyes.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
Potentially, at the right price - but if it was a lot more expensive than other brands, probably not.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
I don't think I would - mainly because they were all very sweet.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I knew that there was no chilled baby food, but it won't change the way that I shop
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
There was one that was a regular fruit flavour, rather than the weird mixtures. She finished that one.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
All of the flavours seemed a bit similar. The only one that looked a bit different was the lentil one, but that arrived out of date and a replacement was never received.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
I would purchase a fruit one as a dessert or snack when out and about if I was caught unprepared. I wouldn't buy them regularly because of the pouches. Glass is recyclable and I feel less guilty about using glass jars.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
Not really, because of the limited flavours and the pouches.

  1. No, I did not know that.Chilled pet food, really? It won't necessarily change the way I shop. Although I do really like products (i.e. juices) that you buy from the chilled isle of a supermarket.
  2. My baby really enjoyed the coconut and cacao flavoured pouch.
  3. I thought some of the flavours of My First Savse were quite unique and adventurous and therefore quite different to other baby food options.
  4. Yes, I would purchase My First Savse pouches. My baby tried all the flavours we were sent and seemed to like most of them. I really liked the feel of the soft plastic like pouch. I was able to squeeze out every single drop which I am not always able to do with competitor pouches.
  5. Yes, I would recommend this product for the above named reasons.

  1. I did not know you couldnt get chilled baby food. It won't change how I shop as I'm not convinced re the convenience of chilled VS shelf stable
  2. My son and I both loved and really enjoyed the coconut and cacao flavoured pouch.
  3. The flavour combos could put off some people at being a bit wacky and pfb eg my son loves eating quinoa but I wouldn't shout about that for fear of looking pretentious.
  4. Yes, I would purchase My First Savse pouches for some occasions. I liked the fact that they hadn't lost any nutrients through heat. However, they'd be difficult to take on car journeys or holidays, which is when I like to use pouches.
  5. Yes, I would recommend this product for some circumstances and to try something different.

Reduce the amount of fruit in the recipes. Some with just vegetables so babies get used to savoury food.

I don't think I'd buy this very often as it needs to be chilled.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I would recommend it as there is a good range of flavours but I wouldn't recommend if they were wanting to use them out and about.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? No- but then I don't have a pet! Will this change the way you shop for your little one? No!
  2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range? My son loved them all- and he's normally fussy. I can't pick one out.
  3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
It was clearly tasty. I don't think it being chilled would make me buy it- but I would probably try it and then buy more of my baby liked it.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why? I wouldn't search because it isn't heat pasterurised as that isn't a selling point to me. I would look for it as my baby liked it.
  2. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? Only because my son liked it- not for the reasons you would like...
