Savsé has asked us to find 500 Mumsnetters to test their brand new range of cold-pressed baby food, My First Savsé. This product test is open to MNers with a child over 6 months of age.

Here’s what Guka, the founder of Savsé has to say: “When we looked at manufactured baby food, we realised babies weren’t getting the nutrients they deserved. Refusing to feed my own child pasteurised product, I wanted to push boundaries and create the freshest baby food possible. After all, real food isn’t just for adults.

This is why we created My First Savsé – Europe’s first cold-pressed, HPP baby food that’s as good as homemade. Unlike heat pasteurised baby food – which experiences a shocking 40% reduction in nutritional value* – with My First Savsé the nutritional value of our 100% Organic, Grade A fruit and veg is never compromised.

*Source: Fruselva Laboratories, July 2017 (tests carried out vs. heat pasteurised competitor x)”

Also from My First Savsé: “By cold-pressing our fruit and veg we don’t strip the goodness, replacing heat pasteurisation in favour of non-thermal High Pressure Processing (HPP) to ensure all vital nutrients are locked into each pouch, removing any nasties without compromising on taste or quality.

A busy parent will have to make a million compromises on a daily basis, but quality nutrition for their baby should never be one of them. However, with 1 in 4 parents unable to prepare homemade baby food due to work pressures, many have been forced to rely on heat pasteurised options bought in-store, with a sell by date often older than the babies themselves! But compromise no more. Our brand new cold-pressed baby food range, My First Savsé, has solved the problem - because babies deserve real food too.

Unlike heat pasteurised baby food, you won’t find My First Savsé in the baby aisle - oh no. You’ll find it in the chiller, alongside all the other fresh products!”

Find out more about the products here, or visit My First Savsé on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram @myfirstsavse #myfirstsavse

If selected, you’ll receive the full range of 7 flavours and will need to test the product with your child as a part of your normal routine, and provide your feedback by posting on a thread on Mumsnet. We’d also love to see a photo of your baby trying the food.
All selected testers who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

My little one loved the Savse Baby Food, she is used to eating fresh made purees that when I replaced a mealtime with a Savse Food pouch she took to it straight away. This proves the fact that Savse-Cold Pressed Baby Food is fresh and tasty as homemade. The beauty of it is that it saves time and is to hand as and when required. So more quality time to spend with the little one without the hassle of preparing a nutritional meal from scratch. We absolutely love it and recommend Savse-Cold Compressed Baby Food to everyone who want to give a healthy, nutritional meal to their little one's too.Halo

Our pouches arrived just before the weekend and so far there a big hit, we mix them with a little greek yoghurt for breakfast and any of it she doesn't eat, I'll finish as it tastes really good x

iamdivergent · 03/08/2017 11:15

Mine has arrived this morning, no out of date pouches. Looking forward to testing them with my son

LillyLollyLandy · 03/08/2017 11:21

We also got a bag left on the doorstep in blazing sunshine. That aside, I've been quite impressed. The flavour combinations are very appealing to my little 6.5month old, who is happily guzzling away. We've been getting though about half a pouch a day. Very easy to use - one question I do have is, are the pouches recyclable?

heyheybaby · 03/08/2017 11:26

ours arrived this morning Dh was very confused as to why. baby food was arriving in the post as i forgot to tell him

He put them in the fridge and Autumn will be trying one for her dinner :)

she normally has a mixture of food as she is 9 months

tisha934 · 03/08/2017 17:09

Received mine today - looking forward to giving them a go!

heyheybaby · 03/08/2017 17:51

@JustineBMumsnet I have not received an email but I have the product

MsPassepartout · 03/08/2017 19:45

We've received our pouches this afternoon, and I'm looking forward to trying them out with DS3 (8 months).

I was a bit surprised when the package turned up as I'd not seen an e-mail, but I checked my junk e-mail folder after the package was delivered and the e-mail was in there Blush

Allhallowseve · 03/08/2017 19:53

Received a surprise delivery today too they look great but haven't had chance to try yet.
No email here either?

Allhallowseve · 03/08/2017 19:54

Oops just checked was in junk folder Blush
Just added you to contacts .

Ours arrived with the lentil one being out of date but I was throwing away anyway as DD is sensitive to sweet potatoes.

So far she is loving them. At 8mo she is having more solid foods than this now but they are nice and handy for lunch or with porridge.

I have seen they are available on Ocado which is where we shop so I will be ordering more.

tinkitonki · 04/08/2017 09:05

Ours arrived yesterday, the blueberry plum prune apple banana has gone down well for breakfast this morning I had a taste and it's pretty good :) will be excited to try the rest over the next few days.

mayago · 04/08/2017 11:39

We received our pouches yesterday! Just waiting on baby to wake up, and she'll get her first taste! Smile

The flavours seem quite sweet, so I'm sure she will enjoy them. She's 7 months today, and I've been trying to keep her on more savoury flavours with fruit afterwards!

Mine arrived today, nice and cool in the foil bag. I've had no email though, and I'm using the app and can't see how to PM @JustineBMumsnet

JustineBMumsnet · 04/08/2017 15:55

Thanks to those of you who are letting me know you don't have an email - it's difficult for us to message you all individually and some of you may have the emails sent from our system sent to your spam folders for this reason. @heyheybaby and @FlipperSkipper, I'll email you the details you should have received again shortly Smile

Received mine today, they were left outside my front door, but I was only out for less than an hour. I also didn't receive an email (checked spam, and not there), so these were a welcome surprise.
To say DS liked these is an understatement. He is a week away from being 1 year old, and we are doing a mixture of pouches and baby led weaning. The pouches are great for when we are out and about, and still want to give him the freedom of feeding himself.
I tried the blueberry, prune, plum, Apple and banana, and he loved it! So much so that when he realised it was finished, he had a temper tantrum Grin
I then gave him the coconut, cacao apple and banana. I was curious how he'd get on, as he hasn't really had coconut before. This again went down very well! These are definitely a hit in our house.

Currently up with ds for the 2nd time tonight, which is a rarity as he sleeps through.
He has had 2 extremely loose nappies, and is screaming in pain. I've had to give Calpol.
Reading this thread, I can see other people have had issue with poo.

Obviously I can't say for certain that this is being caused by the pouches, but as it's the only new thing ds has had, I'm decided not to give him any more.

TipBoov · 05/08/2017 09:28

We've had explosive poos after DD has had one of these pouches. I'm wondering if they were stored incorrectly before they arrived. I'm talking full on leaky poos, not like DD at all. I'd appreciate it if My First Savsé could comment on this as we're not the only ones.

LoudestRoar · 05/08/2017 09:38

TipBoov I agree. DS didn't get back to sleep till 3:30am. The only thing I can think it is, was the pouches. It was such an extreme reaction, which is very unlike ds. I'm quite upset that something I gave him potentially gave him so much distress Sad

LoudestRoar · 05/08/2017 09:42

DS is red raw this morning...

Unihorn · 05/08/2017 10:55

Prunes, pears and peas can all have a laxative effect, or could they have an allergy? My daughter suffers severe constipation and we were hoping for some improvement but even these pouches haven't worked sadly.

pinkDEpanter · 05/08/2017 13:33

My son has had severe wind, sleepless nights and a sore bum. I'm reading this and now convinced its the food :( I thought it was just teething/weaning/ a phase...

TipBoov · 05/08/2017 14:40

It's not likely to be allergies here, as DD has had all the ingredients on other occasions. I'll stop using them until MNHQ has spoken with them.

LoudestRoar · 05/08/2017 14:54

No allergies here either. And although I understand some of the ingredients can have a laxative, ds's poos have been on another level!
