We are looking for 50 MNers, with at least one child under the age of 12, to test the new Google Home. If selected, you’ll receive the product, worth £129, and get to keep it! Grin

What you’ll need do: Test Google Home for two weeks and give feedback on your experience by posting on a feedback thread as well as completing a short survey.

Here’s what Google has to say about the product: “The time we get to spend at home with our family and friends is pretty special. So what if technology could help us make the most of those moments, instead of sometimes pulling our attention away from them? Google Home is a hands-free smart speaker powered by the Google Assistant that does just that. Whether you want to get answers from Google, enjoy your music*, manage your everyday tasks and control compatible smart devices around your home, all you have to do is say “Ok Google”.

*Google Home is optimised for selected music services only. Subscriptions/payments may be required.

Below is a video about the product:

Ohhh that looks awesome-we are a bunch of nerds and tech geeks so this would be amazing to test.

ShouldHaveStayedHome · 13/05/2017 20:20

Fantastic product test idea. Have applied, of course! Everything in our house runs Google Android: phones, tablets and TV. Would be so grateful to be chosen.

Pipstarz41 · 13/05/2017 21:05

Fingers crossed this would be great to test!

forfuckssakenet · 13/05/2017 21:16

Done! Fingers crossed!

Hateloggingin · 13/05/2017 23:11

Done :)

DoubleR · 14/05/2017 00:47

Sounds like a good way for technology to bring the family together instead of apart on tablets and phones. Keen to try it out.

Firsttimelondonmum · 14/05/2017 07:17

I've entered. Fingers crossed!

Tatiebee · 14/05/2017 07:54

My children and mindees would have a great time with this!

foxessocks · 14/05/2017 08:18

I've signed up!

Would love try, hopefully kids wouldn't accidentally order random items off Amazon by mistake, would like to find out?
I have Prime delivering nearly every day... 😬I'm sure it could make my life easier!

Lilybensmum1 · 14/05/2017 18:52

My tech savy 8 year old would love this, we considered Alexa but have not yet purchased one, my son knows a lot (or so he says! ) I can't argue as I don't know the answers so, to have something on hand to ask random questions to would be amazing, examples are what is the fastest supercar? How far is Mars from Earth? What joints in the body are ball and socket joints?

I'm silently loosing it so any help would be great I'm sure this would be the answer to a frazzled mums dreams.

lalalemon · 14/05/2017 19:05

Done! We'd love to test this!

strawberrypenguin · 14/05/2017 19:10

Done! I'm sure we'd have great fun with this!

WinnerWinnerChickenDinner0 · 14/05/2017 19:51

Me! Me!

I've been looking into them but not sure yet so would love to test it out

Promise to write a good honest review Smile

TuddlesAndSisses · 14/05/2017 20:45

I'm so pleased I don't have to call it a stupid name. Cortana and Alexa fill me with rage because they're not real people and I don't want to pretend to interact with them as if they are.

Alphvet · 14/05/2017 21:28

Sounds great!

Alakazam7 · 14/05/2017 23:23

We Hope to have the chance to test this. I think it would be more flexible and user friendly than other similar products. Was wondering if it links into gmail etc too? We are interested in finding out its limitations and really testing it. Also feel it's potentially useful to people with disabilities such as myself and would be able to test it from that pov if that would be useful!

Madcats · 15/05/2017 09:20

Agree with others that it would be great to compare with Alexa/Echo dot.

DH grumbles about it, but I am forever using it to set timers, check weather, convert currency or measurements. I have Amazon Prime and love the fact that I can just ask it to play me some music through our Sonos. It is less brilliant at compiling my shopping list (must be my accent) or controlling our lights!

ashleywhit · 15/05/2017 10:21

Would be amazing!

caffeineanddryshampoo · 15/05/2017 11:38

As a family that loves new technology this sounds amazing. My 7 year old already loves shouting "ok google" followed by a silly question at the phone.

Dixiechickonhols · 15/05/2017 13:34

Would love to test. We have Alexa at minute.

Willowwisp23 · 15/05/2017 13:57

This would be a huge help to our family. Having a newborn plus a toddler equals complete disorganisation in this house! Would love my own little PA to keep me right.

verap · 15/05/2017 16:49

Fab, this would give my child all the answers she needs and I cannot answer, applied :-)

Jesswoods1992 · 15/05/2017 17:06

Yes please would love to test

LiveLifeWithPassion · 15/05/2017 19:10

My family would love this too.
Some family members have Alexa and we love it so it would be really interesting to see how this differs.
