We are looking for 50 MNers, with at least one child under the age of 12, to test the new Google Home. If selected, you’ll receive the product, worth £129, and get to keep it! Grin

What you’ll need do: Test Google Home for two weeks and give feedback on your experience by posting on a feedback thread as well as completing a short survey.

Here’s what Google has to say about the product: “The time we get to spend at home with our family and friends is pretty special. So what if technology could help us make the most of those moments, instead of sometimes pulling our attention away from them? Google Home is a hands-free smart speaker powered by the Google Assistant that does just that. Whether you want to get answers from Google, enjoy your music*, manage your everyday tasks and control compatible smart devices around your home, all you have to do is say “Ok Google”.

*Google Home is optimised for selected music services only. Subscriptions/payments may be required.

Below is a video about the product:

Thanks and good luck!

We would love to test this out

RestingBitchFaceKeepsYouYoung · 10/05/2017 12:21

Ooh this would be a godsend!

TheresALight · 10/05/2017 12:24

Would love to try this. Before i had kids I relied on to do lists to stay organised and on you of things but now I font sen to even have time to find a pen let alone write anything down! I'm hoping Google Home would help me to get back on top of things especially as I'm now expecting baby number 2!

AliciaMayEmory · 10/05/2017 13:36

Would love to try this! We use the 'ok, Google' function on our android tablet quite a bit, but would be lovely to not have to go get them to find something out. The links to music and the TV sound fab too.

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 10/05/2017 13:38

My 4yo is always asking me to ask Google stuff at the moment. Mostly about what noises various animals make. She gets quite cross if I'm not straight on it!

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 10/05/2017 13:39

Is it right that there aren't any questions on the survey about why you want to participate? Usually you have a box with why you want to take part.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 10/05/2017 15:07

Is no one else bothered at the prospect of having an internet enabled listening device in their homes?! Hmm

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 10/05/2017 15:23

I've given up the spying so I'm not overly bothered Wink

I would think my iPhone is more of a risk of someone hearing my tedious conversations about what's for dinner and the ongoing refrain of "put your shoes on".

I would like to know more about how it integrates with other technology like my Smart TV.

silviuccia · 10/05/2017 16:11

done :)

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 10/05/2017 16:32

Ha Moving! Grin I'm not saying that anyone listening to what goes on in my house would hear anything particularly interesting but it would bother me to have something sitting there recording everything that goes on...
Obviously I won't be putting my name down for this product test but just wondered if other people felt like this, or if it was just me being particularly paranoid? Blush

MummyBtothree · 10/05/2017 16:36

Done ☺

Starlingsintheslipstream · 10/05/2017 16:41

This would be such fun - signed up!

Kelsoooo · 10/05/2017 16:45

This would be amazing!

AmserGwin · 10/05/2017 17:06

Done! This looks brilliant. The boys are always on my phone asking Siri things, so this would be great fun for them, and helpful with homework too. Hope we are chosen Smile

CakeIsMyFavouriteAndBest · 10/05/2017 17:25

Signed up, would be so helpful with my 2 constantly asking me to google things for their homework. They would be able to do it themselves!

FoofFighter · 10/05/2017 17:26

As a student single parent who never gets a minutes peace to actually sit and google anything without interruption and a fight for the laptop - this would be great to help me with my essays!

Srathore · 10/05/2017 18:08

I'm signing up for this trial. Sounds amazing. Thank you for the opportunity.

Jagsy · 10/05/2017 18:08

Done! Looks fab, can't wait to try if we are lucky. Would be very interested in exploring what it can do.

2littlemoos · 10/05/2017 20:50

I would love to test this! Screen time is putting a downer on me recently so this could be perfect timing for us!

SouthernNorthernGirl · 10/05/2017 21:38

Have applied. My DC would love to test this out, and hopefully then I won't have to be the one with all the answers Grin

Grandma14 · 10/05/2017 22:23

Would love to test this! I seem to spend (too) many hours Googling random stuff every day. Would be great for homework too!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 11/05/2017 05:36

Have applied!

Madz1982 · 11/05/2017 07:36

Crazy8 · 11/05/2017 07:41
