We tested the 50 litre liners.

Q1,2,3: The box they came in provided easy access to the bags (folded rather than on a roll, which we preferred), right from the off they appeared thicker and better quality than most bags, we would say they are akin to Brabantia bag quality.
We struggle to find decent quality bin liners these days, which can be frustrating.
Most bin liners tear when emptying larger bins, but we are able to reuse these ones (use for recycling products and then again in our general waste bin, so getting double usage).
Q4,5,6: We would most definitely recommend these liners to friends and family due to their quality and would likely purchase if we saw them in a supermarket. Another person has said they found them on Amazon, however I prefer the convenience of shopping in one place so would prefer if could buy in a supermarket (Sainsburys would definitely appreciate the quality of these!) rather than somewhere like Amazon online.
A brilliant product to test and I'll certainly be keeping an eye open for them in Saino's.

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?

I was really impressed. We tried the 30L bags. They were really strong & didn't fall down into the bin which we have problems with the bags we use

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?

I get frustrated with the bags we use, they usually tear & also fall into the bin as they get full, we didn't have any of this with these bags

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?

They're the strongest I've seen

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?

It depends on price. Whilst they are good if they are expensive I'd probably pick others

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?

Probably unlikely, I buy items like this in store as buying online requires you to be organised rather than buying when none left at supermarket

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

If I knew someone was really struggling & these bags ticked all the boxes I'd definitely recommend them.

BirgitteNyborg · 28/03/2016 19:55

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?

Great! Very strong, no splits. Nice sturdy dispensing box. I was testing the 30L bags which were more than big enough for our kitchen bin.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?

Frustrated. They do often split or aren't quite big enough. No such problems with Visqueen Ultimate.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?

Much stronger!

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?

I would definitely consider them if not too expensive.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)

I would consider it if the price was right and it had low/no postage costs.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would.

Climbontoyourseahorse · 28/03/2016 20:05

I tested the 30L bags.
Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
I liked the roll inside the box but I did think both the box and the liners could have be plain, they don't need as much print on them. I tested the 30L bags and they were very narrow, I had to stretch them a bit to get them to fit my bin and was worried about them splitting but they were OK. Overall I was impressed with the strength and quality but the size let them down a little.
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
I usually buy supermarket own brand bin liners and do have trouble with them splitting if the bin is overfilled. The Visqueen are definitely better quality.
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
They are a lot stronger than other bin liners I have used.
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
It would depend on the price, I would need to get the 50L to fit better in my bin and from what I recall they are rather more expensive.
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
It would depend on the price, postage costs and delivery times, I would probably be more likely to just buy while doing my usual supermarket shop.
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend them.

KJ123 · 28/03/2016 20:29

50 litre bags tested

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners? I liked them - strong, fitted properly
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them? Often unsatisfied unless I buy very expensive ones, as others not strong enough. These ones compared well.
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past? They are good _ as strong as the best expensive ones I usually have to buy. Stronger than other cheaper brands
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags? Very likely, depending on price
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)? I would consider if it was cheaper to do so, or the only option, but I'd prefer to be able to purchase them in store like I usually do, as often have to buy at the last minute
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, as they seem good and strong,. But it would depend on price, and to be honest it's not something that's likely to come up in conversation with friends - tho I might discuss it with my husband as I would suggest we switch to visqueen if the price was right.

AHobbyaweek · 28/03/2016 21:17

30l
Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
Overall I was really impressed with them. I like the box idea but the style of the packaging is not normally something I would go for.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
I usually buy cheap bin liners but they annoy me by ripping all the time. I get frustrated by them leaking in the bottom of the bin and then the bag ripping when it's emptied. These are so much better but I think I need the larger size and even though my bin is 30L, the top was a stretch.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
The strongest I've tried so far.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
Very likely if I can find them again easily.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
Yes if the postage and packaging didn't make them a lot more expensive. More likely to buy them in a supermarket or on Oct do for instance where I might buy more shopping at once.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would definitely recommend these bin liners, they're really strong, great quality and they don't unroll in my cupboard as the box keeps them contained.

loosechange · 29/03/2016 11:27

I tested 50L bags.

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?

Strong sturdy bags

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?

Generally satisfied. I buy Brabant in online , which aren't cheap, or supermarket own brand, but not " bottom label" ones as they rip.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
Good, stronger than many.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
I would depending on price.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?

If price was reasonable I would.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes - strong and reliable.

learnermummy · 29/03/2016 12:44

I tested the 30l liners
Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
Really good and strong. The packaging shouts 'strong' at you! Like the box dispenser. Fitted my brabantia tall bin perfectly.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use?
How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
Generally frustrated, normal liners always rip. Only last week the contents of my kitchen bin ended up all over the back garden.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
Strongest liner I've ever used.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
Very likely.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
Yes, would buy online. Usually have an Amazon shopping list on the go anyway, so as long as I could combine with other things to avoid delivery charge. Would probably be more convenient to buy with online shopping (e.g. ocado or morrisons).

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Definitely, because they're so strong.

cookiewuk · 29/03/2016 13:48

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?

The bags seem to be heavy duty and made of quality material though I'm not keen on the look of the bag.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?

I am generally satisfied with the quality of the bags I use, they are strong enough to cope with our rubbish, for the most part anyway. The Visqueen Ultimate bin liners are definitely thicker and stronger than my usual liners.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?

The Visqueen Ultimate liners are stronger and thicker than any other bin liner I have used in the past.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?

It would depend on what I wanted them for and the price. I wouldn't buy them at £8.49 for 40 as regular bin bags but I may buy them if I required something stronger for a tougher job.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?

I would happily buy online if they were not available locally and the postage was free or cheap.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

If someone was complaining about their current bags splitting and were wanting something heavy duty I would definitely recommend them. I would however say that they are not wide enough for certain bins. They fit our circular bin but not our rectangular one.

cookiewuk · 29/03/2016 13:52

Forgot to say we tested the 50l bags.

dorsetsgem · 29/03/2016 14:37
  1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
I thought these bin liners were really very strong and fantastic quality. I tested the 50L ones. I really did have to put effort into getting it over the edge of my bin, but felt confident in it not ripping

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them? I tend to try and buy middle range bin liners , though I don't have a brand i'm particularly loyal to. the visqueen bags are really decent and thick and also easy to open

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past? These are much stronger than other brands I've tried

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags? I would definitely buy these if on offer, these are a little pricey for , though the quality reflects this. I'm just quite aware of my spends

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)? I would keep an eye on any discounts and buy a few packs at a time if offers were good

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? I would recommend if the topic of bin bags came up.

welshmumof3boys · 29/03/2016 14:42

I tested the 30L bags

  1. I'm very impressed with the bags, they are very strong. They were a little tight fitting around the rim of bin compared to other liners but when got used to fitting them they were fine.
  2. I usually buy supermarkets own brand bin liners/bags and they can be very frustrating. They can be hard to tear apart or not as strong as claim to be. Visqueen Ultimate Binliners have proved to be so much better all round.
  3. Visqueen Ultimate Binliners are definitely much stronger than only Binliners we've tried. No ripping or tearing at all.
  4. I would be very likely to buy Visqueen Ultimate Binliners in future. It would depend on price and stockists though.
  5. I would be more likely to buy them online as I live in a rural area.
  6. yes I would recommend Visqueen ultimate liners to friends and family, they've been by far the best liners we've used.
Starman16 · 29/03/2016 14:44

Q1. Superior to my regular brand
Q2. These are much stronger, I used one for garden waste and even then it didn't tear.
Q3. Much better, unlikely to split
Q4. Depends on price, but quite likely
Q5. Unlikely, I would purchase with supermarket shop
Q6. Yes I would, if they were particularly looking for stronger bags

roostastyle · 29/03/2016 14:58

I tried the 30L bin liners.

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners? First impressions were that it looked like a solid sturdy roll of bin liners
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? I have a Brabantia bin and was using Brabantia liners which sometimes ripped at the top if the bin was especially full or heavy. How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them? The Visqueen liners are actually better: they don't rip and seem stronger
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past? They are actually the strongest bin liners I have tried to date.
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags? Yes I would - depending on the price.
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)? I do a lot of shopping online so I would buy them online. I currently have a prime membership so I get free shipping but without the membership I would be reluctant to buy an item from Amazon that did not have free/cheap shipping.
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would as they are strong and reliable. I do not know the target price so I cannot recommend them on value.

chewbecca47 · 29/03/2016 15:01
  1. I was really impressed with these bin liners; very strong, no frustrating tears or rips; handy drawstring; sturdy storage box; good quantity per box. Very good!
  2. Alot of the budget black bags are pathetically thin and easily tear if an angular item is inserted, or they split if the load is heavy. These bags are so thick, it was never an issue worrying about this. My partner even used them for his heavy duty garden jobs! Even a nasty thick rose stem didn't slash the plastic!
Q3. The strength is far superior to the average black bin liner; no comparison. Q4. In future, I would buy Visqueen if the price was right, especially for heavy duty use. The price would need to be right for "swing bin" daily use. Q5. I would be very unlikely to purchase online for such a routine item; I'd rather buy at supermarket with my weekly grocery shop, to save on online effort and delivery costs. Q6. I would very much recommend Visqueen bin liners to family and friends. Good quality, durable, strong product.
nishthefish · 29/03/2016 15:25

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?

They looked and felt strong but still looked like indoor binliners rather than external bin liners.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?

Most bin liners I use rip as I pull them out of the bin. These ones didn't rip so I wasn't left sweeping up a mess afterwards.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?

Hands down stronger.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?

At the right price I'd definitely buy these over my existing bin liners.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?

I'd buy them online if they worked out cheaper (incl any delivery charge).

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I'd recommend. They're strong and hold the rubbish, what's not to recommend?

sleeplessinmybedroom · 29/03/2016 15:56

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?

I thought they were very strong and I loved they came in a box. The only issue I had with them was almost ripping the first one because I struggled to seperate it from the one next to it. I thought the bags would be the other way around for some reason.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?

I get very frustrated with my regular bin liners. Until now I've yet to find a brand that don't spill their contents on a regular basis.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?

These were the strongest I'd ever tried. I even used a couple to put books in for the charity shop and even they didn't tear.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?

I would defenetly buy these as long as they weren't too expensive. The rrp would be too much for me.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?

I buy a lot of stuff online so I wouldn't mind buying these online.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would. They are fantastic.

Derbymatt77 · 29/03/2016 17:15

I would recommend these bin liners.
They are stronger than the brabantia 30 litre bags I usually buy.
I would purchase them from Amazon.
I will be purchasing these again.

Eva50 · 29/03/2016 17:24

I tested the Visqueen Ultimate 50L bags.

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
Very strong and sturdy. I loved the box as it kept them all together. The drawstring was very handy and they were a good size.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use. How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
I find it difficult to tell how strong the bags will be when they are in a roll. It's so frustrating when they split when you try to tie them or don't have enough space left at the top to tie them. Visqueen Ultimate bin liners did not pose any of these problems.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
They were stronger than any bag I have used previously and also much more spacious.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
I would definitely consider using these bags again.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
I would certainly consider buying them online.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend the bags to friends and family for all the reasons I have given above.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past? Very strong. My own brand bin liners tend to split around the top when my darling family keep cramming more and more rubbish into them. They seem to think the bin empties itself in our house!
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags? Quite likely, depending on the price.
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)? More likely to buy them in the supermarket - it's not always convenient to be at home for deliveries.

  2. My usual Bon liners are OK although the sometimes tear if I put too much in the bin
3.they are stronger 4.i might buy visqueen if they were sold in the supermarket depending on price
  1. I wouldn't buy them on line - not a product I think about unless I see them in the supermarket
6 I would recommend them as strong Bin liners
