Just looked up price on Amazon. £6 for 40. I'd consider that as not much more than the Brabantia liners.

LynnGay159 · 23/03/2016 09:35

50 litres
Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
I was very impressed ,lovely and strong and nicely packaged

I get a bit annoyed with my usual bin liners ,sometimes they don't rip off easy and then tear and sometimes they leak.

They are much stronger.

Q5.If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
I would rather buy them in a supermarket ,I usually only buy them when I've nearly run out so waiting for delivery wouldn't really work and also I wouldn't pay any delivery costs.
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would definately recommend them they are much better than my usual brands and I have tried quite a few different ones .

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners? Great - seem strong already
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them? Yes the supermarket ones always rip and tare
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past? Absolutely the very best I have ever triee
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags? 100% they are fantastic
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)? I will and I will be purchasing these once they run out
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely yes! They are worth every penny, so strong and durable and no leaks at the bottom, they hide the horrible bin smells. We are over the moon to have trialled them

HappyMum4 · 23/03/2016 10:07

I tested the 50L size:

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
I was very, very impressed when they arrived, a great meaty sized box which surprised me, such a big roll, and you can feel the quality, the thickness of the material, the ease of which you can tear the perforated bags, normally the bin bags I use rip just trying to get one from the roll.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
I am enormously frustrated with my usual bin bags, they are thin, flimsy, tear, don't hold onto the side of my bin so end up half way down it and I have to dig in rubbish to get the sides back up, they sometimes rip when I lift it out of the bin, or rip on the way to the black bin outside.
Visqueen Ultimate were totally the opposite, they held onto the bin sides perfectly, no matter what I threw in to the bin, or how heavy an item I would put in, they were so strong, they lifted out perfectly and I had confidence due to their strength and the material they're made of that they wouldn't rip on me, there is no comparison really, they're just massively superior to my normal bin bags.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
They are super strong, can hold so much more, I can compact the rubbish and get even more things on the bin which is great because I go threw less bags less quickly, they get me from kitchen to outside black bin without me wondering at any moment it will rip and I'll end up with rubbish all over the place. Love them.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
Oh, I'll never use anything else now, i could never go back to inferior bin bags having tried these.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
I'd be more than happy to buy them online, I get a tonne of stuff sent from Amazon do this wouldn't pose a problem at all. Free delivery would be great though!

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would definitely recommend them to friends and family, what's not to recommend, they're super strong, do the job perfectly, last for ages so I think they're more economical, I can confidently get more stuff in the bin without worrying if it's too heavy for the bin bag, they're great for other uses to (I even got my son to stand in one whilst trying to compress the cardboard recycling, and they were strong enough that he didn't go through them or even rip them with his fingers, shoes etc).
Good stuff Visqueen!!

lisylou21 · 23/03/2016 10:25

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners? My overall impression is very good, they are thick and strong and great for recycling. The only downside is they arent quite wide enough for my bins.
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them? Mostly satified, if they fit my bins properly they would be perfect.I did get them to fit after a lot of pulling and stretching them
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past? They are very strong and stronger then most liners I have tried, the only other liners Ive found of a similar strength have been from the pet shop
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags? quite likely
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)? very likely. I dont drive and shopping online for things like this is much easier
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? yes I would

SlurplePurple · 23/03/2016 10:38

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
I had the 50l bags and loved them. They were strong and great for getting out of the bin and into the wheely bin. They didn't leak or split and the drawstring was much easier than trying to tie up a conventional bag.
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
To be honest I've only ever bought cheap bin liners, after all I'm just throwing them away. But I'm almost converted. They just seem a little pricey but my cheap ones leak and split almost every time I empty the bin.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
Brilliant! I've never used such a fantastic strong bag before.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
Quite likely if the price was right. I don't think I could justify £8 odd though.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
Not very likely. I always pick bin liners up as needed with my grocery shopping. Putting them on sale in major supermarkets would be better.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? Definitely! I've already raved about them to family and friends for all the reasons above.

satine · 23/03/2016 11:46

I love these bin liners. Not a phrase I expected to use! They are super strong, with absolutely no leaking or tearing as I take them out of my bin. The drawstrings work well and so far, they have coped admirably with several overloaded bin loads as well as the hated cat litter with great success.
I would absolutely recommend these, and I would pay a little more than normal to buy these again. I'm not sure I'd order them from the Internet, though, just because it's easier to pick them up with the supermarket shopping.
Really great product, no negative points at all!

seasidethrills · 23/03/2016 14:32

I tested the 30l bags..

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
They appeared v sturdy and thick. I found them a bit difficult to separate to use and it was a v tight fit on the top of my bin with v little give.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
If i've bought cheap bin bags i get frustrated over how easily they split, the Visqueen are definitely the thickest i've used.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
Much thicker, although this makes them a bit difficult to stretch over the top of the bin.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
V likely if the price is comparable to other thicker bin liners.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
Unlikely as i usually buy all my household goods at the supermarket. I wouldn't but online and pay delivery.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes if it came up in conversation i would recommend them.

Thanks for letting me try them.

TooAswellAlso · 23/03/2016 16:08

Sadly I was right. Our bin men refused to take the white bags. So I have my rubbish for another week. Which makes these far too out of my price range if I will need to double bag.

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 23/03/2016 16:40

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
Very, very good - there was no way these were going to split on the way down from my first floor flat to the communal bin area. I use a pedal bin and these fit perfectly.
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
I've not yet had a bin bag split on me but I think it's been a close call on more than one occasion. These bin liners are miles better.
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
These are much much stronger.
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
Very likely
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
Very likely, if cost were right
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes - very durable

I have changed my username since signing up for this product test - it was ButterIsAngelSpunk

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 23/03/2016 16:41

Oh I was testing the 30l bags. And I never received an email survey?

owlsocks · 23/03/2016 16:44

50l liners tested. I like these bin liners - they didn't rip like previous liners and there was no leakage. The draw string was a bonus - really easy to use and transfer to the big bin. I would buy these again.

mummyeme · 23/03/2016 18:07

Q1:I. thought the Visqueen ultra bags looked brilliant, functioned well and were incredibly strong.

Q2: I'm generally unhappy with the bin bags I use, they're never strong enough and lack the handy drawstring these have. These are much more secure.
Q3: Extremly strong, I'd trust them for any purpose.
Q4: I'd definitely buy them in future if the price wasn't too high.
Q5: I'd prefer to buy these from Amazon, especially with prime delivery :)
Q6: I'm so impressed with these, I'd definitely recommend them. Primarily for their durability.

HALA · 23/03/2016 19:12

They were strong and durable. However, although I have no hesitation to recommend them to others, I would only buy them if they were in the supermarkets, where I do my food shopping (ie not online).

leo16 · 23/03/2016 20:58
  1. The liners seemed OK. I wasn't keen on the packaging. While they were the right size for our bin they didn't fit the top of it well. Our bin is rectangle rather than circular and the liners weren't wide enough at the tip to accommodate this.
Q2. I'm generally satisfied with my current bin liners. They fit our bin better and I would prefer them to the Visqueen liners. Q3. In terms of strength, the tier for the bin was strong but the bag wasn't as strong as our usual. There were some tears in the bin bag. Q4. I would not be likely to purchase them again due to the tearing issue. Q5. N/A Q6. If it came up in conversation I wouldn't recommend them to my friends. This is because they tore and I would be more likely to recommend my current liner.
Sagethyme · 23/03/2016 21:17

I trialled the 80lt bin liners
Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
Well packaged, and easy to tear off the roll. Strong welded plastic seems, tie handles, and easy to fit into the kitchen and bathroom bins.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? We don't use any particular brand, but in the past we,ve had bin liners that split, rip when taking off the roll, difficult to put in the bin, and tie handles which tear.

How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them? No comparison, Visqueen are superior to all the liners we have used in the past.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past? Much stronger

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags? Very likely (although cost would be a factor) if available in shops

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)? Much less likely

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? Yes absolutely If so, why? They are strong, they are well designed, because they are thicker they are easier to put into the bin, and have well designed colour contrasting tie handles.

TooAswellAlso · 23/03/2016 21:32

Leo we have struggled with the fit on a rectangular bin as well - they seem made for a nice round cylinder bin. Prefer my black bin thick extra strong supermarket liners tbh, although theE are extra strong the colour and fit are real downsides for me.

Brushyourteeth · 23/03/2016 21:49

We tested the 30l liners.

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
They were strong and durable. I was impressed! The only thing was that, as other users have said, they didn't quite stretch over the top of our bin.
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use?
How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
Usually quite frustrated. We buy the supermarket own brands and they tend to rip or leak pretty often. The Visqueen liners were much better. They were also easier to remove from the bin - no heaving required!
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
Much stronger - better all round.
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
I would definitely consider it - it all depends on the price.
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
I wouldn't purchase specifically on-line. I usually buy as part of the weekly shop.
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would because of their strength and durability.

Starlingsintheslipstream · 23/03/2016 23:22

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
I liked them. They seem strong and the packaging was robust. I found the perforations weren't as easy to separate as I'd like.
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
I don't tend to go for the cheapest ones. I think it's a false economy. I'm happy with a good own-brand (eg Waitrose) or more recently I have been buying a brand from them called Trust. Visqueen are as good if not better.
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
I would say they are stronger than average but I'm not convinced they need to be that thick.
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
Yes, I would look out for them and buy them if they were an acceptable price. Would prefer a roll of 20 than 40 though.
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
Probably only with my online grocery order rather than from a retailer like Amazon.
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would. They are a good product.

Starlingsintheslipstream · 23/03/2016 23:23

Just to add, I tested the 30 litre bags.

Sairelou · 24/03/2016 05:14

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?

They were much stronger than my usual brand. I liked that they came in a box for neat storage.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?

They are much stronger, especially around the drawstring tie at the top where my usual Tescos ones rip.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?

They are much stronger

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?

Very likely.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?

It depends on price/postage costs.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, as they are the best bin bags I have ever tried

Hushabyemountain98 · 24/03/2016 09:03

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
Overall I was really impressed with these bin liners. I like that they come in a box .

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
I usually buy the recommended bin liners for my bin or a supermarkets own brand bin liners. I get frustrated by them leaking in the bottom of the bin. Both these bin liners drawstring very often tears away and you cannot tie the bag up.
The Visqueen bags do not leak or tear away from the drawstring.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
The strongest I've tried by far.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
I would definitely consider buying these bags if they are affordable.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
Definitely if it worked out cheaper.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'd definitely recommend these bin liners to friends and family. They do not leak, they are strong and do not tear away from the drawstring so you cannot tie them up.

ILikeBigBumpsAndICannotLie · 24/03/2016 13:49

I had the 30l ones.

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
The packaging looks quite industrial and they are slightly thicker than normal

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
No they always tear coming out of the 30l bin we have and there's always an argument about the bin being too heavy for the bag. We've used 5 liners now and none have torn. They are a tiny bit narrow for the brabantia 30l bin though which is a pity.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past? Definitely stronger.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
Very, they haven't torn yet. An extra centimetre on the width and they'd be perfect.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)? So long as I wasn't paying a delivery charge I would consider it, it's usually easier to throw them in with the shopping though.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes. Just because we can get them out of the bin without ripping it.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 24/03/2016 19:24

We tested the 30l ones.

Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
How thick they were, good tough quality and no worries about leaks. BUT was surprised by how narrow the bags were. i'm guessing they are designed for a very specific round bin, and so unlikely to fit all 30l sized bins.

Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use?
How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
I'm rather fussy about bin liners, and don't buy the most basic cheap ones. So i'm used to buying decent ones, though the shop I buy from is still very affordable. I would say that these are even thicker to the ones I use.

Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
Strongest bin liners I've seen.

Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
Only if they were a wider fit, as these weren't a good fit for my bin. Also I would be more likely to buy if the price was a bit lower, as rather more than the current brand i buy, which does do the job OK.

Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
I'm a regular online shopper, so would be happy to order them online, if the shipping was included or wasn't expensive.

Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
*Yes, would certainly recommend the strength of them, though would caution to be sure the size of bag fit the person's bin, since the 30l ones were more narrow than any bin bags I've ever seen before!
