I received and am reviewing the 50 litre bags (there are 40 bags in dispenser)
Q1. What were your overall impressions of Visqueen Ultimate bin liners?
I never thought this was a sentence I would ever write, but these bin liners are truly the dogs
They are now awarded the moniker of being: My bin liner of choice
Genius point of differentiation from other bin liners is that they come not in a roll that then unloops wildly everywhere but in a dispenser, so you simply pull the bag up and rip it off. SUCH a bloody simple idea (& saves both space & frustration) but not something I'd ever seen before. Impressed enough with it to have bothered taking a photo so other MN'ers can see the dispensing mechanism.
Q2. Are you generally satisfied or frustrated with typical bin liners that you use? How do Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compare to them?
Invariably dissatisfied with previous liners due to a combo of tears, leaks, handle snapping etc etc (& interestingly, price point doesn't seem to have made a difference, IE have bought >>££ ones previously, only for them to be as crap as cheaper ones. The sheer strength of the Visqueen liners just knocks all of the others I've tried out of the ball park.
To be honest, you can't really compare them, as the Visqueen ones are in a league of their own - they are the strongest ones I've ever seen or used; the dispensing is neat and easy; NO leakage even when used in the recycling bin so full of soft drink cans that my sons had left dregs in still had some liquid in them but not so much as a drop of seepage!
Q3. In terms of strength, how would you rate Visqueen Ultimate bin liners compared to other bin liners you have tried in the past?
Way, way, WAY stronger than any I've used before, and stronger than I could have imagined them to be. DS2 (strong as an Ox) used one to over load with THE most enormous amount of 'stuff' he'd brought back from Uni - really hefty weight in it and with corners sticking out everywhere, but the plastic just going with it instead of the usual scenario of corners going through it - and it didn't so much as rumple, let alone split. Ditto not once have the handles split due to the weight in the bag, something that has happened on so many previous ocassions with other brands inc. the super expensive ones
Q4. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Visqueen Ultimate bin liners if you were in need of bin bags?
There will be zero 'consideration' of buying them, I WILL be buying them - never in a million years did I think I could get excited about bin liners
but these really are just staggering, you HAVE to try them. Genuinly, this is the rare kind of product that would have motivated me to write an MN review for it given it is SO much better than anything else on the market.
Q5. If you are willing to purchase Visqueen Ultimate bin liners, how likely are you to consider purchasing them online (e.g. on Amazon)?
Hugely likely as ALL of my shopping is done through either Tesco or Amazon. Should fess that there a box of Visqueen already sitting in my basket on Amazon ready for the next order I place, so it's already way beyond a 'likely' with this happy bunny of a customer
Q6. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Visqueen Ultimate bin liners to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Absolutely. Unequivocally. Any other words that mean the same as aforementioned! It's one of those products that you would overtly mention to others as the best to buy given just how enormous the improvement is in these vs. the others that all of are used to.
And no, nor did I ever envisage myself raising bin liners as a conversation point so 10/10 to both Visqueen & MNHQ
and a massive thanks for having been given the opportunity to try these out - and I really am SUPER glad was chosen to try these as the frustrations of 'ordinary' bin liners, whilst seemingly petty in the overall schema of things, are actually a real bloody issue especially, if like me, maybe you are not quite 100% in the health department and all things already an effort....
Seriously, who wants the hassle of emptying the bins only to discover you have a trail of liquid following you down the hall, or the wretched thing splitting on you and spilling everywhere, or the handles snapping off and then left with trying to carry it with the bottom of the bag resting in your arms - ALL of those are things that could and would reduce me to tears right now given so unwell, but I know there is ZERO chance of any of those happening with these and that's why I already have my next box waiting for me in my Amazon basket.
These might be pricier than your average bin liner but they are seriously worth it so all I can do, my lovely l'il nest of vipers, is to say give them a shot - seriously, you will NOT regret it!
