Q1. No
Q2. The potatoes looked really good when I opened the packet. They were a nice size, but didn't look like homemade roasts.
I cooked them for 5 mins longer than stated to get a crispier outside. They were nice and fluffy inside. The whole family did enjoy them, and we had clean plates.
I would use them in the week, but wouldn't replace homemade roasts on a Sunday.
Q3. The aroma was lovely whilst cooking. Better than other frozen roasts we have tried, but not as nice as homemade.
Q4. Yes, I would recommend the potatoes, for a very easy, tasty mei week meal. But not for a proper Sunday roast.
Q5. Yes I would buy again for a quick, midweek meal.

PirateSmile · 14/03/2016 12:04

I'm not part of the survey but wanted to say that a lot of Aunt Bessie's products contain Palm Oil which would be a reason for me to avoid using them.

serendipity1980 · 14/03/2016 13:37

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test? No, I never knew that frozen roast potatoes of any brand existed!
Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes? They were quick and easy to cook but they definitely weren't as good as homemade. The potatoes felt over processed inside and the outside wasn't as crispy as mine are.
Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes? 7/10 for the adults- not unpleasant but definitely not as good as homemade. 10/10 for the children - they preferred them to my potatoes :( I thought they left a greasy feel on my lips.
Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase? Rather small, didn't really notice aroma that much.
Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? I wouldn't buy them again but then I'm rather against convenience food. However, if you want to buy frozen roast potatoes then these are ok. But expensive though considering how much a bag of fresh potatoes cost!
Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?
Very unlikely- I would make my own!

HELENSCRESCENT · 14/03/2016 14:22

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?
I recall seeing adverts on the television for them but had not previously bought them.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
Quite disappointing, not as good a home made and didn't enjoy the taste.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
Very poorly, I thought the potato tasted very floury and not very enjoyable.

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?
Shape and size wise they were good but they didn't have the same smell and smelt more like an oven chip.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
No because I didn't think they tasted very nice and none of the family enjoyed them.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes
Very unlikely, I'd rather spend the time making them myself than have ones like this.

Thank you for letting us try them, although we didn't enjoy the potatoes the experience was fun for us all.

AgentZigzag · 14/03/2016 16:34

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?
I'd seen them but hadn't tried them before.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
They really were great roast tates.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
Tried them with my 2 DDs and all three of us loved the taste.

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?
They all were a decent size, no smaller off-cuts, so nobody had to have any bullet hard bits of potato that you normally get in bags of frozen roasters. They also managed to get the crispiness just right, although I left them in for (about 20 odd mins) longer than recommended. I'm afraid nothing compares to homecooked roasters, but these are a great alternative if you can't be arsed haven't got the time to make your own.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would, yes. Not only were they mouth wateringly good to look at after they'd been in the oven for a while, but they actually tasted great too. Some frozen potato products look good but taste bland, these don't.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?
I'd definitely get them again.

(Re pic, yes, I know yorkies shouldn't be served with chicken lol)

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?
-Yes I had seen them in the supermarket while shopping.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
-They looked great, cooked well and easily and came out of the oven looking really crispy and golden.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
-Absolutely lovely crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Everyone loved them and they went down a treat.

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?

  • They are a good size - not too big and not too small, they look really good and they smelled lovely while cooking. I usually buy supermarket own brand which look very pale, irregular shapes and they cook really unevenly. The Aunt Bessie's ones were just so much nicer and cooked so much better and more evenly. They came out of the oven looking perfect and tasting just as good.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

  • I would definitely recommend them as they were very easy to cook and very tasty and cooked very evenly. It was a really good time saver for our busy family too.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?

  • Yes I will be adding these to our shopping list. I have not found the supermarket's own very good and they put me off buying pre-prepared roasties in the past due to cooking so slowly and unevenly. These were just so nice, cooked evenly, all crispy on the outside and fluffy and tasty in the middle. I would definitely buy again to save time on making our own from scratch.
VickyRsuperstar · 14/03/2016 18:20

AgentZigZag - we served ours with chicken and yorkshire puddings too as the kids love them so much. Who cares if you aren't supposed to!

Zuzi · 14/03/2016 18:29

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?

I didn't surprise me that Aunt Bessie's did roast potatoes but I wasn't really aware of the product.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?

I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the product.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?

All my 3 children really enjoyed them so overall it was a winner!

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?

We all loved the crisp outside and soft inside. They looked and tasted good (not as good as homemade according to my eldest but even he enjoyed them.)

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I think so.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?

For a very quick result, I would probably buy them.

Raahh · 14/03/2016 18:41

Did the survey, and forgot to feed back here- so

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?

Yes, and have purchased them at various times over the years.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?

Looked good, and were fairly uniform, although there were one or two large ones that were too potato-y Grin when cooked. They had a really good colour, too.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle
frozen roast potatoes?

Good, quite crispy, but I did have leave them in for about 10-15 minutes longer than specified.(This could be an issue with my oven).

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?

When I buy frozen, I usually buy McCain Homestyle- they taste better, imo, and go crisper due to the coating. But I would buy Aunt Bessies again, if no others were available. They smelled the same really, as when I have made my own.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie's Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would- as frozen potatoes go, they were not a bad flavour. Dh disagrees and said they had a bitty texture, and didn't like the flavour of the outside.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie's Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?

Yes, probably not my first choice, but still easy to just chuck in the oven to add to a meal.

Vagndidit · 14/03/2016 18:50

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?
Yes, I was aware of Aunt Bessie’s brand of roast potato prior to the product test, but due to cost I usually purchase shop brands instead.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
We found Aunt Bessie’s potatoes to be delicious and much more crisp and flavourful than other brands we’ve tried. The bag was just the right portion size for our small family.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
The taste is fantastic, the texture fluffy and well seasoned--An all-around decent substitute for homemade roasties.

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?
I found the shapes to be rather uniform which made for fairly even cooking—when spread out onto a baking sheet for cooking. The aroma was pleasant but not that different from other brands I’ve tried.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I know a lot of friends and family prefer homemade roast potatoes but I would certainly recommend them as a suitable shortcut in the kitchen.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?
I would definitely purchase these potatoes again. They were fantastic.

Pingoo · 14/03/2016 18:54

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?
No - I buy quite a lot of Aunt Bessie's products, but I'd never seen these before.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
They were rather small in comparison to homemade roasties, they smelled nice when they were cooking and looked a nice colour when they came out of the oven.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
The children gave them 10/10, my husband and I 8/10. They were pleasantly crispy and fluffy inside, better than any other frozen potatoes we have ever tried, but still prefer homemade

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?
They were great as a quick accompaniment to a meal, but I would still prefer to make my own for a roast dinner.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes - I would say that, if you are in a hurry and don't have time to make your own, these are a good substitute.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast
I would buy them again, but not necessarily for a roast dinner.

HappyMum4 · 14/03/2016 18:59

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?

yes, I have bought them in the past, but not for a long time

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes? They were a fairly decent size, fairly uniform. Not much too look at frozen, but looked nice once cooked, crispy and brown

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes? As frozen potatoes go they were very nice. They were crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, and quite tasty with gravy. I ate them with my parents and they were quite impressed as they never ever buy frozen potatoes.

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase? I think they were better than supermarket own brands that I have tried, the shape was better and the aroma and taste was better.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? I would recommend them for a quick meal, but nothing beats proper home cooked roasties.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes? I would consider them for a quick roast with loin chops or chicken breast, but for a full roast joint, I would prefer to cook my own

sorry no photo, as ate them at my mums and forgot to take one!

RunningKatie · 14/03/2016 21:31

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?
No, I've previously purchased supermarket frozen roast potatoes when short of time but never these.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
I cooked them for slightly longer than recommended as we like crispy potatoes.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
I wanted to try them as my ds is usually a potato refuser but apparently has eaten a roast potato at MIL's. Even he ate them and there's no higher praise than that in this house.

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?
As someone else said, the size wasn't particularly uniform but we managed to divide them up to everyone's satisfaction.
I do prefer home made ones but these were a reasonable alternative and no-one registered any major objections.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I don't see why not, although I prefer home-made roast potatoes, sometimes frozen just is easier.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?
I would certainly consider them again if the potato refusing ds is on board.

katyk81 · 14/03/2016 21:48

Thanks for picking us to be involved with the product test.

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?

I don't think I was especially aware of the 'Homestyle' branding although I did know that Aunt Bessie's made frozen roast potatoes.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?

Frozen roast potatoes have never been on my radar before but actually I was surprisingly impressed- they were far more enjoyable than I had expected and went down well with my eldest and my husband too. I was pleased there wasn't many manky ones in the bag (I have a real thing about the horrible looking chips you get and had visions these would be made of off-cuts of nasty potatoes!)

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?

Not as good as homemade but quite tasty

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?

Shape and smell were fine, taste was good, although not quite up to homemade but at a fraction of the time to prep and cook they make a decent occasional alternative.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes they are perfect for a mid week roast or as an accompaniment to the kids sausages, veg and gravy one night after school

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?

I could see me keeping a bag in the freezer for use mid-week or on the odd weekend when sunday gets away from us and dinner should be prepped and in the oven but hasn't been started- I can't see I would give them to guests but I would generally go to more effort if cooking for a houseful than for making dinner after school.

Thanks again

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?
I have purchased a range of Aunt Bessie's products before, but I was not aware of the roast potatoes within the range.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
I tend to shy away from buying frozen potatoes as I find them like cardboard and often a game of 'hunt the potato' as the potato centre is non existent. However, I was remarkably impressed with these roast potatoes. As with all Aunt Bessie products, the image on the packaging makes the product appealing. The potatoes seemed plump, and they smelled delicious when cooking.

The packaging boasted a 'fluffy roast potato cooked in a light crispy batter'. To date I have cooked 2 batches of these potatoes. The first batch was cooked as specified but I found the potatoes too soft on the outside, and slightly hard on the inside. Not to worry though as a little extra cooking time for my second batch sorted that.

In comparison to other named brands, the Aunt Bessie product is in equal par in relation to cost. However, this product contains 107grams more potatoes than all other named and store branded roast potatoes. Whilst this probably only equates to a couple of extra potatoes, if gives the impression of more for your money.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
I enjoyed the taste of these potatoes. After tinkering with the cooking time, I have found a frozen roast potato that I would be happy to serve to others. The skin is golden and crispy, but not too oily. The texture on the inside is soft and fluffy, but not too fluffy that it mirrors potato croquettes. These were just right for me, and my kids really enjoyed the taste and texture.
*
Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?*
The aroma in my kitchen was fantastic. I was salivating just waiting for these to be ready. The potatoes were a good shape and pretty much equal sized, which made it easier to cook, and turn, in the oven. They looked golden and crispy after being cooked.

In comparison to other brands of frozen roast potatoes I have purchased, these are by far the best. The potatoes feel full and plump when squeezed, with a crispy coating and a soft fluffy centre.*

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?*
I would recommend this product to others. If you were in the market to buy frozen roast potatoes, then I feel these would be a contender for first place. The texture, shape, and smell all equate to a great potato. They are packed full of potato (not hollow like other brands) and look like you have cooked them from scratch, giving them that true Homestyle image.*

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes? *
At first glance, the price would put me off. I am feeding a family of 6 and there were JUST enough potatoes in the bag. However, if I compare costs for buying the equivalent amount of potatoes, goose fat etc and incorporate my time and effort then these potatoes are beginning to be more appealing!

However, the deciding factor in our house is not cost, or quantity but whether the kids would eat them again? These potatoes received the thumbs up, and in a house full of fussy eaters (where it can take hours of staring and picking at food), these potatoes were eaten in a flash. Well done Aunt Bessie.......my job has just gotten easier! I would definitely buy these again.

  1. Not aware of the frozen roast potatoes before test.
  2. Didn't seem many potatoes in the bag? But they looked pretty good.
  3. looked good, great size, all same size do no squabbles! Taste was better than my homemade!!! 4)Def recommend as people may overlook these, thinking they would taste plasticy. They are very good actually.
  4. Definitely would buy again, thought I wouldn't like these and thought they would be so artificial, but I was totally wrong!! Will be buying these again!!

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?
No, I wasn't aware of them.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
A handy product to have in the freezer, but wouldn't by or eat Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes by choice.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes
No where near as good as homemade roast potatoes both in texture and flavour

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?

Far too artificial looking, and the aroma didn't make my mouth water, as the roast potatoes I make from scratch.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

No, as the majority of people I know make roast potatoes from scratch, and they would think I've lost the plot if I recommended something so bland.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?

Not at all likely, as I'd rather go without roast potatoes, than replacing them with a poor substitute

Raffles123 · 14/03/2016 23:39

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?

No, this is the first time I had seen them.

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?

We had them with a family meal, they went down well with the kids who often struggle with the crispy nature of normal roast potatoes. They seemed to take a lot longer to cook than the recommended time on the packet.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?

I cooked them for at least 10 mins more than suggested though a few were still not cooked in the middle and they were quite soft on the outside. This put me off a bit, though the kids loved them and asked for more. I think if they were a bit crisper on the outside then there would be a more balanced flavor.

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?

Shape was good, looked like normal roasties. Smelt good too.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I don't usually use frozen pre prepped food but they were not too bad. Good if you are a time poor parent. They work out quite expensive when you think about the cost of potatoes. They need to be crisper on the outside. Would suggest to others for quick meals. If they could get crisper that would be a bonus. It would also be good to know whether they are healthier than home made? and the packaging could be clearer about what extra processes

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?

My first call would be to make my own, but would not rule out purchasing them for quick meals. They would need to be cheaper or at least a healthier option.

Not really no, I had never actively looked for them or thought of using them.

Very good, made dinner preparation much quicker, they tasted lovely.
Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
I'd rate them highly. Very tasty, fluffy and soft inside and crispy on the outside.
Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?
I liked the uniform size, so they cooked evenly. They were fairly small but a good size for the children and adults could just have a larger portion size. Just as tasty as home made.

Yes, if they were looking to save some time in terms of dinner prep. I would recommend them.

We will continue to purchase them occasionally to keep a bag in the freezer. Super handy when you fancy a cooked dinner but lack time.

I had heard of Auntbessie as brand and I was aware that they did Roast Pots, but that was about it.
Quick and easy, but unfortunately they don't compare to home made ones
The taste was ok but for me the texture of a roast potato counts for everything
The shape and size we great, and they smelt gorgeous cooking
If someone was asking about Frozen Roast Potatoes I would mention them, but I would always be of the opinion that home cooked are worth the effort.
If I wanted to cook a roast but knew I wouldn't have time to make fresh roasties, I would definitely buy Aunt Bessies.

Q1. Were you aware of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes before taking part in this product test?

I think so - I certainly knew Aunt Bessies did frozen roast potatoes

Q2. What were your overall impressions of Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?
A good product that could definitely help with some quick and easy but tasty mid week meals.

Q3. In terms of taste, how would you rate Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes?

Nice flavour (better cold actually), but the texture was a bit processed. My overall impression were that they were like 'chain pub/carvery roasties'.

Q3. How did you find Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes in terms of shape and aroma, compared to typical roast potatoes you make/purchase?
Normally we make them at home - shape they were smaller and more uniform, DH prefered the size (I normally do them bigger through sheer laziness). Aroma, it's hard to say as normally the potatoes are overpowered by roasting meat, so it's hard to say which aroma is which.

Q4. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes to friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would.

Q5. In future, how likely are you to consider purchasing Aunt Bessie’s Homestyle frozen roast potatoes if you were in need of roast potatoes?

I would buy them to have in the freezer to add to a meal which needed potatoes/would benefit from roasties, but not for a Sunday roast - I'll stick with my crunchy, goose fat roasted ones for a full on roast.
