4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not? YES I WOULD NICE CHILD FRIENDLY PRODUCT AND MY CHILD WAS WILLING TO HAVE THEM AND REMINDS ME HE NEEDS ONE

CreepyLittleBat · 26/08/2015 19:34

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

Once I got them out of the box which looked like it ought to contain two dozen hand made lavender-infused truffles, good, straightforward and appealing to children.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

My dc are 13, 11 and 5 (it's the 5yr old who's trying them) The older ones take Bassetts young people's vitamins.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

She loved both flavours. They were easy to eat and tasted like jelly sweets.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would. They're genuinely chewy, unlike some vitamin brands that claim to be chewable but are in fact chalky and gritty. These are really easy and quick to take and my dd is really happy to get one in the morning.

nishthefish · 26/08/2015 19:47

The vitamins arrived in beautiful packaging which had my child intrigued from the start!

DCs are 10 and 4. I've bought these vitamins for younger DC before and both children loved them. I used these vitamins for younger DC again.

My DS absolutely loves them and I have to remind him he can only have one a day. My older DD is disappointed that she can't have them and gas to have her boring capsules instead.

I would definitely recommend these to others and am considering buying these for both DC in the future.

CoffeeTwo · 26/08/2015 20:57

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

  • Lovely packaging and appealing to DS who instantly wanted to know if they were for him! We've been using liquid vitamins which has been more of a faff so much preferred these chews.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

  • DS is 3 and we've not had these vitamins before. He tried the strawberry and orange for 3-6 year olds and liked them both,

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

  • He loves them. He likes the smiley face and the flavour and needed some convincing that he was only allowed one a day!

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend due to ease of use and flavour and will likely buy them in the future.

PopcornFrenzy · 26/08/2015 21:12

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

Very good packaging that displayed a good quality product. As soon as DS saw them he asked if he could have one which is fab as he very rarely tried new things!

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

My DC are 5 years old and 9 months, the 5 year old took part in the test. He tried the orange ones a few years ago but didn't really like them. The 5 year old took part.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

My DS absolutely loved these sweeties, he knew he was allowed one after breakfast and just before teeth brushing, he's a creature of habit so they quickly became part of our routine. He loved the fact that they are making him big and strong like The Hulk (any chance of making green ones?)

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Would absolutely recommend to friends and family, have already in fact. Love the fact that he's taking them without being forced too' makes my job as a Mum much easier knowing that he's getting good stuff every day.

vickipickernicker · 26/08/2015 21:16

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
Attractive packaging, good flavour, would try other age ranges in future.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
Have tried similar own brand orange flavour vitamins before - which son liked. 5 yr old son very excited by prospect of trying the strawberry vitamins

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
Son did like the strawberry vitamins, asked for another but had to tell him he could only have 1 a day. Attractive shape, colour and like a chewy sweet.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend

amrobe · 26/08/2015 21:28
  1. They're child friendly so I had no problem getting my daughter to take them. They taste good, smell good and look good so there's no battle t get her to have them. I just feel like they're a bit pointless for me. I don't feel like they're something that I need to spend extra money on every month.
  1. 5 year old girl and 2 year old girl. Have not tried them before, test was 5 year old.
  1. My child absolutely loved them! She loved the taste and the texture, I think because they're a bit like sweets so she almost feels likt they're a bit of a treat.
  1. I would recommend them, I'm sure most children would love the flavour and they are a good way for children to get their vitamins.
Mama2bubs · 26/08/2015 21:41
  1. The vitamins arrived in lovely packaging, the vitamin box itself was attractive & appealing to children. The vitamins smelled lovely, really fruity. They looked like a soft sweet.

  2. My 3 year old son tried the vitamins. He hasn't had Bassets vitamins before, I have tried to get him to take another brand before but he refused.

  3. He loved the vitamins and wanted more than 1 a day. He liked the taste of them, I think he thinks they're sweets.

  4. Yes I would recommend them due to ease of use.

Spirael · 26/08/2015 23:08

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
Loved the box they arrived in! Felt very posh and made my day just that fraction more interesting to open it up - even though I knew what would be inside. :)

The actual packages themselves are a good size and I like the bright graphics. They were a little hard to open though - the lid has torn on one of them. It'd be better if there was a perforated bit by the lid.

I saw the soft and chewy information easily enough, but there was no indication of tablet size on the outside of the box. I guess it's probably not as important when the tablets are chewy, but they were actually a bit bigger than I expected.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
DD1 was doing this test and she is 5. She's not had any vitamin tablets before.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
DD1 tried both the strawberry and the orange flavours (on different days) and liked them equally. She tends to like fruit generally, so I wasn't hugely surprised by this! She said they were like having a sweet.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would, where there was a need to ensure the child in question was getting enough vitamins. Since DD1 eats a good varied diet and gets lots of outdoor playtime for vitamin D, I don't have too many concerns about her intake. As DD2 gets older I might be more inclined to look towards vitamin tablets, as she seems a bit pickier with food and it means I can be sure she's getting the vitamins she needs.

Climbontoyourseahorse · 27/08/2015 09:34

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
They arrived in a lovely box which ds was very happy with. I'm not sure about the actual box the vitamins come in, I don't know if its a little bit too child friendly, I think some children might think they were sweets and try and eat them all if they found them.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
Ds2 is 5. He has not had Bassetts vitamins before.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
He did like the strawberry flavour but preferred the orange.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend Bassetts vitamins. They are a quick and easy way to make sure children are getting the vitamins they need.

HLMcG · 27/08/2015 09:41

Well. These vitamins are very much like sweets as you'd expect from Bassets. They are delicious and cute. All my kids wanted them! We tried just the strawberry flavour.
My only concern would be that the experience of a sweet a day is not one I want for my kids so it'll be back to chalky cheap vitamins for us after this.

leccybill · 27/08/2015 11:09

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
A positive impression. A great brand. We were excited to receive the lovely purple parcel.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
DD is 5. She's never tried any vitamins before.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
Yes, she liked them. They just tasted like a sweet. She liked the packaging.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would. Why not? Not such how tangible the health benefits are but they do no harm.

CatthiefKeith · 27/08/2015 11:29

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins? Beautiful Box, my dd had eyes like saucers as we unwrapped it.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test? DD is four, she has never tried vitamins before. She is my only child

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like? She loves them, and has asked for one every morning. In the name of research I have also tried one, and agree with her that they taste very juicy and more like sweeties than vitamins

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would, I lead a busy life, and it is good to know that her vitamins are being supplemented. As much as I try to cook from scratch, time constraints mean it isn't always possible, so boosting her vitamin intake assauges my guilt a little

sweetkat32 · 27/08/2015 12:02

Thank you for the beautifully packaged vitamins, my kids were delighted to receive them!

  1. My overall impression of the vitamins is great, the kids love them because they are just like jelly sweets. Good flavours and really eye catching packaging, looks good quality.
2 My boys are aged 4 and 7, I was lucky enough to receive a pack for each so they were both very happy! They have had vitamins before. My four year is the product tester! 3 My son love the vitamins because they are just like sweets! He likes the flavour and very happy to have one each day! 4 I would definitely recommend the vitamins. They are great quality, great flavours and kids love them! Thumbs up from me!
TattieHowkerz · 27/08/2015 12:07

First impression was very positive. They look appealing.

DD has refused them so far!

I think they taste great though (strawberry ones). My nephew had one and he really liked it.

Wincher · 27/08/2015 12:23

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
Fun product to help my child enjoy taking vitamins daily

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
My children are 5 and 1 - the 5 year old has been trying them. Yes, he has had them before - I found an old pack of them.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
Yes, he really likes the taste and the fact they are like a sweet.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Well, yes, but I wasn't impressed that the old packets contained 45 individual vitamins and the new ones only 30 - but for the same price, I think.

RedRoseMummy · 27/08/2015 13:53

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

Bright and colourful with appealing flavours which make getting my children to take them an easier process.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

My five year old son tried the Strawberry flavour. We have tried Bassetts Vitamins before with success but Strawberry was a new flavour here.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

Yes, he enjoyed the flavour and is happy to take one each day. He described them as 'fruity and chewy and a bit like sweets' which led into another conversation about how we only take one vitamin per day. It's helpful that they are so appealing as he remembers to ask me for one when I forget to give it to him.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely, I think vitamins are a really useful way of giving our children a bit of a boost to their diet, especially for picky eaters like my boy. Bassetts make this process simple, uncomplicated and child-led!

Bubbyd · 27/08/2015 16:53

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins? The packaging is appealing and they have a good spectrum of vitamins.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test? My dd is 4 ( only child) and she has never had vitamins before

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like? She loved them and thought they tasted like sweeties! I tried one myself and they do taste nice with a good texture

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes as long as they weren't too expensive

TeacherKS1 · 27/08/2015 18:36
  1. I liked the packaging, it looks clear and clean. The blister packs are easy to store and use. I like how the age range is printed on the blister packs as well as on the box.
  1. My children are 9, 7 and 4. I opted for one pack for each age range. My 4 year old tried the strawberry 3-6 vitamins and the elder two tried the raspberry flavour. All of them loved their vitamins. They usually take bassetts vitamins regularly along with a separate fish oil.
  1. All children loved the vitamins. They liked the new design of the packs and loved the flavour choice.
  1. Yes, I would recommend these to others. I buy them in Savers as they are quite expensive, even on 3-for-2.
PervyMuskrat · 27/08/2015 19:29

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
The presentation box was a very nice touch - it made it seem very exciting for DC. The blister packs were easy for the DC to use themselves. Overall, very pleased with this - the flavours are good and DC enjoys having "a sweetie" with breakfast.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
Age 4, not tried the vitamins before. Also tried by 37 year old DH who loved them too.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
Yes, DC liked them very much - described them as very yummy. DC liked the bright packaging and the taste.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, would recommend. They taste nice and it's an easy way of ensuring that my picky eater DC gets some essential vitamins each day.

Rhuba · 27/08/2015 19:33

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
I loved the parcel they arrived in. Purple box, satin bow, very exciting to unwrap and my daughter stole the box.
My children liked the taste so I'm happy. I liked the description of how vitamins help the body as my 5 year old enjoyed learning about it.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
My children are 5 and 3 years old. Never had Bassett vitamins. My 3 year old was the official taster but my 5 year old helped.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

Yes liked them very much. They look like sweets. Very yummy. Also quite squishy with a smiley face on.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes if it came up in conversation. My 3 year old nephew tried one when he visited and he's already told his mum to buy some.

SnipSnapCrashCrack · 27/08/2015 20:38

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
We loved the box the vitamins came in although it was possibly a bit ott Grin. DS loved the pictures on the boxes of the little 'jelly person'.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
DC is 3 and as far as I can remember has never tried Bassetts vitamins before. He tried the strawberry and the orange flavour vitamins as part of the product test.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
He loved them! Ds thinks its a real treat to get a 'sweet' after breakfast and says they taste yummy.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend them as he has preferred the fact that these are chewy whereas the vitamins he has had before were liquid and too much like medicine when these are more like sweets.

Oscha · 27/08/2015 21:11

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
DD really likes them - maybe a little too much?! Had to work at convincing her she's only allowed one per day. She says they're v sweet.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
She's nearly 4 and she's never had Bassetts before.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
Yes, very much. Sweetness and the fact that they're basically sweeties.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes - I particularly like the fact that they're not in a tub my kids could get into - I have to pop them out of the packaging which means DD is less likely to steal the packet and eat the lot.

Oscha · 27/08/2015 21:12

Oh and the parcel packaging was amazing - I was slightly disappointed when I realised what it was as for a moment I thought someone had sent me chocolates or lingerie Wink

scrivette · 28/08/2015 07:50

Overall I was very impressed. The packaging looks good without being too bright and garish and looking like a packet of sweets.

DS is 4 years old and hasn't tried them before.

When asked what he thought of them he said they were 'yummy'. He calls them his 'sweety tablets' so the taste obviously appeals to him and he looks forward to one after breakfast and reminds me if I forget to give him one.

I have already recommended them to my friend for her 2 year old daughter.
