I applied in my old account and created a new one with a new email address due to hacker gate! Hope that's ok.
Firstly I have to say what lovely packaging the box came in. Very nice! My daughter was really excited when she saw me opening them.

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
I think the packaging of the vitamins is really lovely, good bright colours and yes, they do look a lot like they're sweets. Which is good.

2.How old are your DCs?
My dd is 4, nearly 5. She's never had them before, only the old fashioned drops which I put in her milk before she goes to bed. They have a weird malted taste and smell so these are much nicer.
I also have a teenage ds (15) but these vitamins were tried by my dd

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds?
My dd was so excited to try one that she had it straight away. Unfortunately she said it wasn't very nice...I tried one and it tasted just like a strawberry sweet, there was nothing unpleasant about it. She says she was expecting a much sweeter taste! Maybe she sensed it was good for her and it put her off.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family?
I would definitely recommend them to friends and family because they're much quicker and easier to take than vitamin drops. They're pleasant flavours and they're an excellent addition to a child's diet.

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

Well the box they came in was impressive!!! What a treat! The actual box was appealing and DD was desperate to try them. They were a hit and she wanted another straight away.

She will be keen to have these each day. Foil packaging keeps them fresh.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

DD is 4. She has never had Bassetts before. She has had supermarket own brand non-chewy vitamins instead.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

Loved them - thought it was a sweet treat. Keen to try the other flavour.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes - we would.

MeAndTheMajor · 20/08/2015 20:33

Just marking my place. DD is finishing off a box of old vitamins so we haven't opened these yet. Quite elaborately packed though - DD2 thought it was Christmas when she discovered all that shredded paper to scatter all over the floor!

HouseOfMadness · 20/08/2015 20:35
  1. What was your overall impression of Bassetts vitamins?

Great. Fun packaging and easy to open blister packets - we loved the posh packaging they arrived in !!

  1. How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts vitamin strawberry flavour for 3-6 year old as part of this product test?

My children are 5 and 9. We have had them before but was a very long time ago. My 5 year old has the strawberry.

  1. Did your children like our Bassets vitamin strawberry flavour for 3-6 year olds? If so what did they like about them? If no what didn't they like?

My kids loved them. If I forgot to give them they were soon asked for and they had to come on holiday with us. My children love the packaging and the sweat like look and taste of them.

  1. Would you recommend Bassetts vitamins to friends and family? If so why and if not why?

Yes I would. An easy way to get kids to take their vitamins.

carapace · 20/08/2015 20:37
  1. What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins? We also loved the purple box! They looked like sweets. I guess this is good if your child doesn't like taking liquid vitamin medicines, but I'm a bit uncomfortable with it and was slightly worried about whether they were good for DS's teeth.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
I have a four and a one year old boy. The four year old tried the vitamins.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like? Yes, he completely loves them.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not? Possibly, if they had fussy kids. DS is fine with the syrup and TBH I'll probably stick with that.

reformedgeek · 20/08/2015 21:21
  1. Ok but not vegetarian and excessive packaging for vitamins - they are packaged like lozenges but taste like gummy sweets
  2. They are 2 and 5. Not tried bassetts before. Both tried the vitamins and enjoyed them mainly because they think they are sweets!
  1. DCs both love them but wanted more than one - as previously mentioned too much like sweets
  2. Maybe - they are almost £4 for 30 which is much more than own brand and I wouldn't want to encourage them to eat sweets for breakfast. Consider sweetening with juice rather than sucralose perhaps and make them veggie
sharond101 · 20/08/2015 21:23

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
I loved the packaging and was impressed by the ingredients list.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test? DS is 3 he normally gets supermarket own bran.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like? He loved them and has been desperate to have one after breakfast each morning.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, ds loves them, sugar free, good reasonable price for all round vitamin.

OverScentedFanjo · 20/08/2015 21:23

I have had to reset everything (thanks hackers)

So I have a different name than when I signed up to this test. Hope that's ok.

Will post feedback in a few days. Only got the vitamins two days ago, so need to test further.

Love the beautiful box and packaging.

BettyStogs · 20/08/2015 21:25
  1. What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

Packaging is appealing and reasonably informative. I was a bit concerned about the list of ingredients as have only used liquid vitamins with nothing else added there seemed to be quite a lot of extras, however having googled them ( yes, I know) I'm happier.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

DS1 is 4 next month and DS2 is 18 months. Neither had tried Bassetts before, DS1 tried them this time.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

When I first showed them to DS1 and told him they were strawberry flavour, he shouted 'Yummy Dummy!' And couldn't wait to try them. He has been asking every day for his vitamins, so yes he loves them, mostly because they taste like sweets. he doesn't like the fact he can only have one a day.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes if their child was not liking whatever vitamins they were currently having.

AliBingo · 20/08/2015 21:55

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

They seemed like a good quality product with attractive packaging.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

DD3 and DS1 have not tried these before. My DD 3 years old tried the strawberry ones for this product test.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

Yes DD really liked them, the strawberry were her favourite (we also tried the orange). I think she thought they were more like a sweet than a vitamin, much more palatable and appealing than her regular ones.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would, I was impressed with them.

lykewake · 20/08/2015 22:18

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
The new packaging was nice, we have used them before and although the packaging makes them look medicinal my daughter likes them.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
DC #1 - 3yo, DC #2 - 17 weeks old. 3yo trialled the vitamins. We have used Bassets vitamins before.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
She said she liked the vitamins and recognised the taste as strawberry. She has one every morning with breakfast and loves taking them, I imagine this is because they look like sweets

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would definitely say I have purchased them and my daughter liked them. I tried one of the vitamins and although they were sweet the taste was pleasant.

MimsyBorogroves · 20/08/2015 22:30

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
Amazing purple packaging for the postal delivery! Very special.
The 'proper' packaging for the product was eye catching and will stand out well on the shelves. It will be easy to grab the correct flavour from the shelves. I like the blister packs, they'll help keep the vitamins fresh. I thought the amount of packaging was appropriate and the information on the packaging was clear. Overall very, very appealing to both parents and children. Very impresed.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
My DCs are 7 and 3. DS2 (3 years) took part in the test. He uses orange flavour Bassetts vitamins with omega 3 currently - he's not over keen as he dislikes sweets generally (he struggles with textures, stickiness and fruit flavours) but he is happy to take those as he is also obsessed with "healthy" and we have explained to him that they will help him stay healthy. The taste of our current vitamins used to make him gag (and to be fair, I think they taste vile!) so I was excited to hear about this product trial to see what improvements were being made to the flavours.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
He tried one, and was happy it "isn't too sticky" though he wasn't keen on the strawberry taste. I, on the other hand, thought they were bloody delicious, and would have to fight DS1 for them! DS2 also tried the orange flavour and preferred those as they were more similar to his existing flavour of vitamins. He does have issues with food tastes though! I would definitely buy again for DS1, so will be investigating the packs for older children. I'm also interested to find out if they've improved the flavour of the omega 3 packs for DS2, as I would prefer him to stay having the Bassetts vitamins containing omega 3.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Definitely. They're delicious - a real bonus in comparison to competitors. The price is very, very fair too. I'd like to see improvements to omega 3 packs if this hasn't happened yet though, as I prefer DS2 to stay on these.

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

I was impressed with how it was packaged, my son was eager to try them and I like the fact there is no added sugar

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like

he really liked them, he said mmmm when he was eating them and asked for more. he preferred strawberry to orange

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend, he enjoyed eating them, they help his growth and have no added sugar

nushcar · 21/08/2015 00:59

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

Good idea if you can't get kids to take vitamins or for adults, but not sure about giving sweets to very young kids every day. Vitamin D content in particular very good. I loved the way they arrived in the gorgeous purple gift box - a very nice touch!

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

Mine are 4 and almost 3. They have never had this before and do not get sweets, so this was very much a treat.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

They loved them and couldn't stop talking about it - because they're not allowed sweets.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Not for 3-6 as not sure we need to give kids sweets if they will take a vitamin via a syringe as do currently (less damage to teeth). I would only recommend if someone having trouble getting a kid to take vitamins perhaps. I myself have had them in the past when I used to hate swallowing pills. I might possibly recommend as a way of topping up vitamin D as was pleased with content.

Mumonabroom · 21/08/2015 05:44
  1. What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

Very impressive delivery box! Kids are using it to store their treasure (twigs!). The packaging was bright and appealing, easy to spot which flavour was which.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test? My DCs are nearly 5, 3 and 10 months. The 5 and 3 year old tried both the flavours. They hadn't tried them before as we had been using gummy dinosaurs from the USA before that.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like? They both loved the strawberry ones, although the youngest is an orange fan, so tended to request them more. They love the fact they taste like sweets, don't have to worry about getting them to eat them each morning, I get nagged for them instead! Haha.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not? I would definitely recommend. Had a sneaky taste myself and really liked them. I think they're an easy way of topping up the good stuff they eat and filling any nutritional gaps. Thanks for choosing us to do the test!

nocake · 21/08/2015 06:52
  1. Overall impression is that looking like chewy sweets they're child friendly but they don't contain the range of vitamins and minerals that other brands contain.
  2. My 4 year old tried the Bassetts Strawberry Vitamins (she also tried the orange ones).
  3. My child did like the vitamins. The chewy tablets had the appeal of a sweet and she liked the flavour, correctly identifying it as strawberry so it must be quite good.
  4. I can't recommend Bassetts vitamins because of the lack of content. Other brands contain a wider range of vitamins and minerals. My child particularly needs iron and other brands provide this.
BellaOfTheBalls · 21/08/2015 08:09

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
They were beautifully packaged as others have said. I had missed the email saying I had been chosen to be a tester so it was a bit of a surprise (I'm so easily pleased!). The DC's were very excited to see what was inside.

The boxes the vitamins themselves come in were nicely produced and the information on the box was clear & concise which I liked.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
My DCs are 7 & 4. I received a box of strawberry flavour for 3-6 year olds which DS2 is testing and a box of the raspberry flavour for 7-11 year olds which DS1 is testing. We've not tried Bassetts vitamins before.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
They loved them. They were met with lots of "mmmm's" and "those sweets are nice!". DS1 loved that he had a box that was "just for older boys" and liked reading all the things on the box that they would help him with. DS2 thought they were sweets and therefore wanted to eat more than one at a time, so we told him they had medicine in to help him grow big & strong which he liked. He says they taste like raspberries which is a huge compliment as raspberries are just about his favourite thing to eat.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would. My DC's really like them. As a parent I feel they are offering me something resembling peace of mind as a parent of DC's who don't eat anything a balanced diet.

ginsoakedgirl · 21/08/2015 09:30

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?
Blown away immediately by the beautiful delivery packaging! The girls found the boxes appealing and much preferred them to their current brand.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?
My 5 year old and 3 year old daughters are both trialling the strawberry and orange flavours for the first time.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?
Both of the girls love the two flavours and struggle to choose each day which one to have. My eldest in particular is quite fussy when it comes to vitamins, but it is the first thing that she asks for when she gets up in the morning (which is fantastic, as I have a terrible memory!) My three year old has always enjoyed another brand of jelly vitamins, but tells me that she prefers the flavour of the Bassetts ones - even the orange flavour, which is the flavour she usually has.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, definitely. I was put off by the price initially, but having seen how easy it is to ensure that they both get their daily vitamin boost, it is definitely worth it.

BollockyBollocks · 21/08/2015 09:34
  1. Overall Impression
Overall I was happy with the product. They were beautifully packaged in the post and I liked the actual product box. The slightly matte finish and the design. The colours worked well together and looked attractive. It would have caught my eye on the shelf. I will say the fact that they have artificial sweeteners in did put me off and stopped me feeling 100% about buying them in the future.
  1. Age
My DC are3yo and 1yo. The 3yo tried the vitamins as we got 2 packs of strawberry. They've never had any multivitamins before.
  1. Did they like them.
Yes! They enjoyed taking them and dc will actually bring the pack to me in the morning and ask for one. We've explained all about what they are, they're not sweets, one a day and the benefits. Dc seems happy and understands.
  1. Recommend?
I'd recommend these but I'd be discussing he fact they contain sweeteners and whether we were happy about that.
OiWithThePoodlesAlready · 21/08/2015 10:10

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

Good. They are very appealing to children because they do look just like sweets.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

Dd is 5. She hasn't had bassetts before.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

Yes, she loves them. The fact that they look and taste like sweets is obviously a big bonus but she also likes the fact that they are keeping her healthy and helping her grow. I keep being asked to explain exactly how they are helping her eyes, skin etc.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would if they felt their child needed an extra boost. They are easy to get children to eat so no arguments or fuss.

JaniceJoplin · 21/08/2015 10:16

1.What was your overall impression of Bassetts Vitamins?

I like these vitamins, the kids love them and would buy them if they contained Zinc in addition to the existing ingredients.

2.How old are your DCs? Have they tried Bassetts Vitamins before? Which of your children tried Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds as part of this product test?

5 and nearly 3. We received both packs and my eldest girl tried them. I have great difficulty keeping the 2 yr old happy not getting the vitamins. They are called Gummies in our house and they are treated as if they are sweets by the kids as they like them so much. I think we have bought Bassetts before but we also use the Mr Men ones.

3.Did your child like our Bassetts Vitamins strawberry flavour for 3 to 6 year olds? If so, what did your child like about them? If no, what didn’t they like?

They taste like sweets so of course the children love them.

4.Would you recommend Bassetts Vitamins to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I specifically am looking for zinc in the vitamins and these don't have them, so I wouldn't buy these. I generally prefer vitamins in bottles rather than packs aswell as I find the packs just trickier to manage in a busy morning.

fixuplooksharp · 21/08/2015 10:55
  1. Our overall impression was very good, lovely packaging and very child friendly.
  2. My Dc's are 3 and 7. They both tried the vitamins.
They haven't tried Bassatts vitamins before but they had tried another brand and didn't like them at all.
  1. Both my children absolutely love the vitamins and have asked for one each morning.
  2. I would definitely recommend them and I will absolutely be buying the age appropriate ones for my 7 year old as well.
Thank you.
lolliplop · 21/08/2015 11:21
  1. My son was thrilled when the parcel arrived, fantastic 'present-like' parcel. Kid-friendly packaging and nice size and consistency. Very pleased.
  1. My son is 4, haven't tried Bassetts before.
  1. He loves the strawberry flavour. Its the first thing he wants to do when he comes downstairs in the morning. He likes the taste and says his bones are getting stronger each day.
  1. Would definitely recommend.
Byrdie · 21/08/2015 12:24

My two (5 and 7) love these. It helps that they look and taste quite similar to sweets! We've tried these sorts of vitamins form various different brands before and i find them really easy to get my kids to take them. The strawberry flavour was a big hit too. The biggest issue was limited them to one a day. We've already recommended them on to a few people and will buy these ourselves.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 21/08/2015 14:04
