This thread is for the Mumsnetters who have been trying Little Dish chilled toddler meals and their new range of My First Pizzas.

Here’s what Little Dish say, “When Hillary was expecting her first baby, she realised that you couldn’t buy healthy, home-cooked style meals for toddlers and young children in the shops. She set out to create a range of delicious, nutritious food made from 100% natural ingredients…and so Little Dish was born. Nearly 10 years on, we’re proud to feed around 100k little ones every week. Every Little Dish toddler meal is perfectly nutritionally balanced for a 1 to 3 year old –providing a source of protein and at least 1 portion of veg, low in salt, with no added sugar, additives or preservatives. Our new My First Pizzas are not only delicious (as approved by our Tiny Tasters) – they also provide 1 portion of veg each, contain 35% less salt than the average children’s chilled pizza and of course have no added sugar, additives or preservatives.”

Below are a few questions for you to answer about trying Little Dish meals and pizzas with your DCs – feel free to add any other thoughts you may have though, we’d love to hear them.

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?
Excellent! They looked great & tasted great! Lots of chunky pieces, healthy & nutritious. I was very impressed.
  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?
Chicken & Butternut Squash Pie
  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, definitely! Out of any processed / ready meals for babies & toddlers I've seen or tried, these look & taste the best.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?
I liked the idea of them - looked a good size and seemed a healthier alternative to other, standard pizzas.
  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?
Meatball one
  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Maybe. Like I said, the idea of them is good though my DC didn't eat all of them so they wouldn't be my first choice.
  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?
Not sure what the full range includes but maybe more fish dishes. And healthy versions of the food children tend to go for like burgers, chicken nuggets, and sausages.

Thank you so much for letting us be part of this!

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?
We have had little dishes before and they are our go to meals for our Saturday night easy meal/ film night with the kids. The kids always enjoy choosing their meals and like the animals on the packaging. They have always scoffed them down (the ultimate taste test) and for me as a parent it is guilt free microwave cooking as they are healthy and packed full of all the right food to give my children a balance of food groups.
  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?
My DD who is 4YO loves the Chicken Curry and Fish Pie. My DS who is 2.5YO loves the pasta Bolognese. We have really enjoyed trying out a couple of new dishes and all of them were eaten without much complaint but the good old ones will always be their favourites.
  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes – They are a good quick meal option with the added benefits of a healthy home cooked feel (guilt free microwave meal). I don’t think that little dishes should or would replace home cooking but it is always a nice treat over the weekend and the kids love getting involved (choosing etc).

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?
I love these little pizzas, they are just the right size for a single portion. As a parent I loved the fact that there was carrot in the base, as I am always looking for ways to get more veg into my fussy children’s diets. I also loved the toppings, it is unusual to find children’s pizzas with an interesting variety of toppings (cheese and ham gets a little boring).
  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?
Meatball – DS proceeded to pick off all of the meatballs and eat them before starting on the pizza!
  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, as long as they are competitive with price. Pizzas are quite easy to make or even to add extra toppings to some of the cheaper store owned brands to make them more interesting and so it is a tough market to crack. However, they are the best toddler pizzas I have seen on the market and I would happily recommend them to my friends and family.
  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?
I always struggle with good, healthy but interesting snacks for my older child. Toddler snacks (rice cakes/ healthy wootsits) don’t quite do the job any more and adult snacks contain too much salt/sugar/fat or lack any healthy elements! I would love to see some imaginative, easy to open and use snacks to keep those ear piercing words ‘I’m hungry’ at bay until meal time!

Finally got through them all! Thanks for letting us test.

Little Dish meals
- What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals? Very well made, good portion size and really handy and quick for giving to small people quickly.

- Which was your child’s favourite meal? Dd liked the meals with mince and meatballs best except the lasagne. She also really liked the fish pie which we have bought her before.

- Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would.

Little Dish My First Pizzas
- What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas? I thought they were quite small and didn't seem to have enough cheese. The meatball pizza appealed to both my children but there weren't enough meatballs or cheese and they found the dough a bit thick.
- Which was your child’s favourite pizza? I'm afraid my daughter didn't really like them and after trying her on the meatball one she refused to eat the others. Her big brother tried some too but wasn't keen.
- Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not? Sorry I probably wouldn't. Although since trying the pizzas both my children were keen to try more new things and have started eating my homemade (and super low salt!) and most importantly thin pizzas! So THANK YOU Grin

What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make? More home made things like traditional puddings (crumbles, chocolate pudding etc) and more stews, curries and fish meals.

Other feedback I object a bit to paying the same price for pasta and meat balls as curry and mashed potato topped meals because those are quite easy to make cheaply at home. I think the most faffy ones (the sort of thing I couldn't be bothered to make a bland version of for my DC) are really good value for money.

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?
I thought the packaging was great and looked both fun and good quality.
  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?
They all went down well but the shepherd's pie and the fish pie were completely demolished!
  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Depending on the price point. They would be great for holidays and standby dishes.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?
A bit small but decent toppings.
  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?
The pizzas were less successful overall but the cheese and tomato was the one that went.
  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Again, would depend on price point as they were small and not particularly filling. Good for a stop gap or big snack though.
  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?

Healthy snack food - yoghurts and quick breakfasts as I could use something quick in the morning for nursery/ trips out.

Starsaboveyou · 15/08/2015 19:55

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?

The meals seemed to be a good portion size for a little person and smelled very nice when cooked.

  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?

The pasta with meatballs. All of the others were unfortunately rejected for having too much visible veg.

  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, if the price was right.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?

They seemed quite small with thick bases.

  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?

The cheese and tomato

  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not. DS commented that they were tiny!

  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?

Meals for fussy eaters with all of the veg blended into the sauces

MostlyCake · 15/08/2015 21:28

Ok, I had high hopes for this. DS only (and I mean only) eats mac and cheese at the moment, I can sometimes sneak in peas and he will eat them but that's hit or miss... Luckily he eats loads of fruit otherwise I'd expect his to have scurvy or something.

Sadly none of the meals were eaten. Not even a sniff. Gutted.

Feedback as follows:

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?

packaging looked cheerful and the impression was definitely of childrens meals. The food itself I'm afraid generally didnt look very appetising when you took off the sleeve. Once microwaved the meals just splodged out on the plate and looked pretty horrible. The consistency was quite loose, probably didnt help keep it together on a larger plate. Also, the containers for the microwave got really really hot and the plastic lid was hard to peel off

  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?

none

  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

My DS didnt eat them, even things which he has previously eaten, like pizza he wouldnt touch. I wouldn't not recommend though as just because my DS didnt like them, other children may.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?

not very exciting. Quite doughy and bland.

  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?

wouldn't eat any of them

  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
No. They are really no better than giving a child a real pizza. Presumably less salt and so on but I wouldn't waste money on a separate children's pizza when they could just have a bit f an adults one
  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?
DS loves yoghurt pouches, maybe natural, healthy versions of these? He also loves the heinz apple flavour biscuits but I don't give him them often as I thin they are full of sugar. If these could be made healthier I'd buy them
Mandatorymongoose · 16/08/2015 09:02

Tested these with DS (2yrs 6m) who can be a fussy eater but I did select meals he should be ok with and he loves pizza.

*Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?*

The portion sizes seemed good for DS, the packaging was attractive and while the meals themselves didn't always look that appetising in the pack I think that's often the case with microwave stuff.

- Which was your childâ??s favourite meal?

DS enjoyed the risotto the most. The alphabet spaghetti was probably his least favoured.

- Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, if they needed something quick and convenient. I think they'd be handy to have in for when you're in a rush or if you just want to make something for the toddler rather than all eating together.

*Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?*

They were an ok size for DS but not particularly big, the toppings went pretty much right to the edge so that was good as DS tends to leave bits without toppings. I felt like they could have done with slightly more topping on them, more cheese on the cheese one, more meatballs on the meatball one. DS seemed to like them although he wasn't that enthusiastic.
I liked the packaging.

- Which was your childâ??s favourite pizza?

Cheese and tomato

- Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think I would if they had a bit more topping on them, I do like the portion of veg and the low salt aspect.

- What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?

Anything easy to take out and about, I'm often out all day and take a packed lunch with me for DS so anything that could go in that.

Thank you for letting us take part in this test, it's been fun Smile

darlingred · 16/08/2015 13:39

My overall impression of Little Dish meals is very good. The look and smell was appetising. An adequate amount provided with attractive and bright packaging.

Alphabet pasta bolognese and spaghetti with meatballs were the children's favourite. My daughter can be fussy but really enjoyed both meals with no complaints.

I would recommend the meals to friends and family without a doubt. My husband has just returned from the supermarket with some Little Dish meals as the were a great success with our children.

My overall impression of the Little Dish pizza's was very good. They were an adequate size for lunchtime. My children liked the variety that we received.

Cheese and tomato was the children's favourite. Both children ate this heartily.

I would happily recommend the Little Dish pizzas to friends and family.

I'm undecided about what other dishes I would like Little Dish to make but will keep my eyes open for new products.

This was a fun and satisfying process to take part in.

PinkSnowAndStars · 16/08/2015 15:05

Thank you for letting me take part with my 3.5 year old son.

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?
I liked them, as did my son! Perfect portion size for a child, all were tasty and easy to warm up!
  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?
He liked both the Risotto and the chicken and butternut squash meal!
  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would, great portion size, easy to cook, tasty and not at all bland. My little boy liked the packaging which I think ultimately made him more likely to try new things as he can at times be a bit fussy.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?
Again, great size, perfect for a younger child. Easy to cook, perhaps a little doughy, but ultimately he still ate it and enjoyed it.
  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?
He liked the cheese and tomato pizza and also the meatball pizza.
  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would, depending on the price of the pizza. They were a good quality item, but I wouldn't pay more than about 99p each. And they could do with slightly more toppings I feel.
  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?
Yoghurts, perhaps a casserole type dish, maybe even a porridge with fruit that you just pop in the microwave with milk with fruit added?
Willow33 · 16/08/2015 15:19

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?

Mostly, very good. Our dd tucked into all of them with gusto to start with. However, she never finished them all completely although this may be more to her being used to having lots of different parts to her meal rather than just one big dish.

  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?
Her favourite was the Alphabet Pasta Bolognese. The Spaghetti Meatballs were enjoyed but she wanted them mashed up a bit. The Mild Chicken Curry met some resistance but this was due to the chicken pieces being quite hard.
  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend these dishes and would happily use all of them again.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?

They looked good, had a nice thick base and the ingredients list is better than any other child pizzas I have seen. Our daughter liked them a lot.

  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?

The cheese and tomato with the pesto one being her least favourite

  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them to anyone.

  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?

Healthy dips for use with cut up veg e.g with peppers, carrots.

Osquito · 16/08/2015 19:48

Our delivery arrived a bit before 1, and just in time because the ice packs had completely thawed and the temperature of the foods had risen... DS appreciated the spoon, it is now his favourite.

Little Dish meals

  • looked good, had texture unlike regular "mushy" meals but I think they take quite a while to cool to a safe temp for child to eat! Also thought they were just about the right size serving for a toddler (DS is aged 1 and would eat about 80%). Also liked that they could be frozen and cooked straight from frozen!
  • I think DS most enjoyed the pasta and meatballs - it was just the right texture for him to eat all on his own, using the spoon Little Dish provided.
  • I would recommend them in general, though my DS preferred some flavours over others. They seem like proper meals with good ingredients and I feel comfortable giving them to my son, who is used to eating our home cooked food.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • Pizzas were a good size for a toddler and had a nice range of flavours
  • Hard to decide whether he liked the pesto chicken or meatball one the most, he ate both all up enthusiastically. However he definitely did not enjoy the cheese & tomato one, and barely ate any. It was very dry (almost no cheese) and I think the tomato paste was quite overpowering... Perhaps we just had a dud pizza.
  • Yes - specifically the "flavoured" ones because nearly every other brand just offers plain margherita, which I don't think encourages young kids to try new things.
  • Perhaps little pudding pots of fruit crumbles or cheesecakes? I'm quite happy with the meals and pizzas though, we only use them on the weekend with DP (can't and won't cook).
glasgowlass · 16/08/2015 22:42

Thank you so much to Little Dish and Mumsnet for the opportunity to trial these meals!
The fact that they could be ready very quickly made a big difference to mealtimes when we were in a rush!

Little Dish meals

What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?
Very impressed with the quality of the meals we tried, all looked appetising and home made which is not the norm for these types of ready meals!

Which was your child’s favourite meal?
DS2 really enjoyed the chicken curry and rice which is very unusual for him!

Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
I already have recommended to some family members!

Little Dish My First Pizzas

What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?
I thought they looked very appealing, a little small but liked that they were a deeper base. The meatball pizza was very sparse on both meatballs and cheese, but I do like the fact that there was carrot puree in the base. Luckily both of mine like veg but this is a great idea!

Which was your child’s favourite pizza?
They both liked all three but the cheese and tomato was the clear winner!

Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, very handy for a quick lunch or snack.

What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?
Macaroni Cheese
Sausage based meals.
More veggie options!

HildaWazzo · 16/08/2015 23:00

Thanks very much for letting us be part of this product test.

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?

I thought the meals were very good - the packaging was appealing, the meals themselves looked more like proper food than other toddler convenience food we have tried, and they smelt and tasted lovely.

  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?

My 14 month old enjoyed all the meals, but absolutely loved the chicken curry. Unfortunately it's not on sale at our local supermarket, but they do stock the fish pie which came a close second.

  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend them, although they are fairly expensive. My baby really enjoyed them, and it is good to know that some of them contain two of the recommended 5 a day.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?

I thought the hidden vegetables were a great idea and I liked the soft doughy base. The toppings were quite bland though. I'm not sure if there would be a way to make them more flavoursome while keeping the low salt levels?

  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?

We only got to try the cheese and the chicken pesto pizzas as the meatball pizza was spoiled during delivery. My little girl picked the top off the chicken pesto and ate that, but left most of the base. She ate a whole slice of the cheese pizza, but didn't finish it. I suspect she would have preferred the meatball pizza! The chicken pesto was probably her favourite of the other two.

  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

If somebody was specifically asking about low salt pizza options for a toddler then I would suggest Little Dish. They do taste very different to normal pizza though.

  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?

Maybe some more vegetarian options? I expect my child would enjoy a Little Dish vegetable curry or lentil bake.

BuffyFairy · 16/08/2015 23:38

I was very impressed with the cool box and DD loved the spoon. My meals all survived the courier.

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?

The packaging is nice and appealing. I like that you can see at a glance how many portions of vegetables are in each meal. The sizing is about right, not much waste on the meals they liked. The meals are mini versions of ones that I often cook at home rather than mush that some other meals aimed at toddlers seem to be.

  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?

Alphabet pasta bolognese was a hit with both of mine. They ate all of it. DD also liked the Spaghetti with meatballs.

  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend these as an occasional meal or for parents who need something quick to heat up after nursery and don't have much time for batch cooking themselves.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?

I thought they looked really nice, well presented and a good size. I like that they contain hidden vegetables because it can be a battle getting mine to eat them.

  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?

None of them. My children shared them for lunch with my DH (had a 3rd of a pizza each), DS (19m) threw all of his on the floor and DD (3.10) only had 2 bites. They do occasionally have pizza and enjoy it so I was surprised by this. DH did say they tasted very bland.

  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

Only if their child hasn't had other pizza before. My two have obviously had their pizza taste buds tainted by the higher salt version.

  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?

Protein based snacks for on the go. I really struggle to think of ideas that aren't messy or hard to carry out for the day without being super organised. We have a long walk home after nursery so I need something that will last all day in a bag but is at least vaguely healthy.

Thanks for choosing us to take part.

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?

There is a good range of dishes available with clever ways to make them more appealing, such as the alphabet pasta. Hidden veg in the sauce is also a helpful trick. I thought the sauces/meals tasted nice, although the lack of salt was apparent, but they still had good flavour.

  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?

Fish pie

  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them as a lower-salt ready meal option.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?

As many other reviewers have said, the lack of cheese is a bit off-putting. I thought the three flavours on offer are a good variety, but my child was not too keen on the two with "stuff" on, even though he likes "sausage" on his pizza usually. There seemed to be an awful lot of butternut squash involved, weren't there any other ideas of veg to put on it?!

  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?

The cheese and tomato (he was in an anti-"stuff" mood)

  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm not sure. Again, the lack of salt was obvious, but the flavours didn't really make up for that. I guess because they are small, they were very easy to overcook, and the lack of cheese didn't help. The bases were quite good.

  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?

Perhaps Little Dish might consider selling the bases and a tomato (and veg) topping sauce, for kids to do their own pizzas at home?

Snack foods involving dried fruit are always good - the existing ones on the market are a bit cardboardy, so anything a bit nicer would be nice.

Maybe some carb-based accompaniments, like sweet potato wedges, or something like that? Along the theme of lower-salt like the pizzas.

TeaandHobnobs · 17/08/2015 10:56

Oh and I asked DS what the alphabet pasta bolognese tasted like:
"It tastes like W" Grin

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?
They seemed good - reasonable portion sizes, good range of options. To my taste they were rather bland, but that's probably because of the low salt. My 5 year old didn't like them much, but my 22 month old did.

Thank Little Dish for this opportunity. I have tried these with both of my DS's of 1 and 3. My 1 year old has loved it all, my 3 year old however has declined everything....

My overall impression of the meals was that they seemed a good portion size, though some of the more saucy ones seemed a bit sloppy.

My overall impression of the pizzas were that they looked nice and appetizing and the packaging was eye catching. We did however find them quite doughy and lacking in topping.

My 1 year old loved the Chicken and butternut squash meal and preferred the cheese and tomato pizza.

I would recommend the meals and will be keeping a few in the fridge for emergencies but the pizza however I think needs more topping.

Little Dish
I like the packaging and the size. Liked that they had lots of veg and could be popped in the microwave for a quick dinner.
My DS loved the fish pie and the letter bolognaise one. He didn't like the curry (despite wolfing down the M&S kids curry) and wouldn't eat it, it was very bland even for a children's meal. I think I would probably recommend, as per the reasons above. Good size and make a nice quick dinner.

Little Dish Pizza
Perfect size for my DS. Wasn't very cheesy but lots of other toppings. Liked the base, it didn't go hard like 'grown up' pizza so was easy for him to eat. He liked the chicken and pesto one best, wasn't that keen on the others but he did eat them.
Would recommend, did like this product. Would be interested to links what they going to retail at

Little Dish meals

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish meals?
We've had a couple of these before and they work well for us for specific circumstance. We usually eat together with one meal for the whole family, but occasionally we have to be in different places at different times so different meals wins out. These seem more like a real meal than toddler foods in pouches or jars and as I can't stand the smell of tinned spaghetti hoops, that's more in favour of something like Little Dish!

Like the colouring in part of the packaging for giving him something to do while it cools from the ridiculous temperature of the microwave.

  • Which was your child’s favourite meal?
Chicken Risotto, which surprised me! Second favourite was the alphabet pasta, which didn't surprise me at all as tomato-based sauces are almost always a huge hit here.
  • Would you recommend Little Dish meals to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, as we haven't had a flavour turned down thus far and compared to other ready-cooked options, they are pretty balanced and use similar ingredients to what we would normally cook.

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?
Hit and miss. We had one big hit, one big miss, and one right in the middle. Meatballs winning, plain cheese & tomato in the middle ground, and I'm afraid the chicken flavour was one bite tasted, spat out, and everything else refused, which was a first for him! I think if I would normally serve more with the plain cheese and tomato, but having to cook more stuff contradicts the convenience of just sticking a pizza in the oven, so I'd be more likely to buy the meatball flavour.
  • Which was your child’s favourite pizza?
The meatball flavour. He ate nearly the entire thing, veg and all. He left a bit of crust (seemed to be a case of being full rather than not liking it, as he happily ate quite a bit of crust) and only had one bit he didn't get on with, where the spinach had no cheese or tomato in the same bite and the texture seemed to bother him, but I don't think it was the flavour, because he ate all the spinach when it was with cheese and/or tomato.
  • Would you recommend Little Dish pizzas to friends or relatives? If so, why? If not, why not?
Not the chicken, but yes to the other two if the price was right. We've had the M&S toddler pizzas before and they were liked a similar amount so my price comparison would probably be those, although in reality I have to walk (and carry everything home) to go to M&S and Little Dish I can get from Ocado, so I might buy them if they were a little more expensive.
  • What other healthy, natural food would you like Little Dish to make?
Natural desserts of some kind would be a winner, as would some options that didn't have gluten or tomatoes as we seem to have several with allergies to one or the other in our group of friends and it would be so handy to have something like that in the fridge for playdates.

Another here with photos and would be happy to send on by email but not to post here with my username.
Thanks for letting us try!

Little Dish My First Pizzas

  • What was your overall impression of Little Dish My First Pizzas?

They looked lovely and again well presented however my lg wouldn't eat them.

She did take a small bite out of each slice of the cheese and tomato one but left the outer part of it all (the less cheesy crusty part)

She wouldn't even try the other two pizzas. I think this was however due to the extremely fussy stage that she is going through at the moment. I did then taste the left overs myself and found them quite bland but I am used to normal adult pizzas :-)

Cheese and tomato

Yes I would as hey are far held their and nutritious compared to other pizzas on the market

Desserts, with some being dairy free if possible as my son is dairy intolerant and I find it impossible to find anything other than fruit to give him

Also some food for thought - personally, a thinner based pizza would be a great option too. I'm sure my lg would be far more inclined to eat one then ????
