This thread is for the Mumsnetters who have been trying Little Dish chilled toddler meals and their new range of My First Pizzas.

Here’s what Little Dish say, “When Hillary was expecting her first baby, she realised that you couldn’t buy healthy, home-cooked style meals for toddlers and young children in the shops. She set out to create a range of delicious, nutritious food made from 100% natural ingredients…and so Little Dish was born. Nearly 10 years on, we’re proud to feed around 100k little ones every week. Every Little Dish toddler meal is perfectly nutritionally balanced for a 1 to 3 year old –providing a source of protein and at least 1 portion of veg, low in salt, with no added sugar, additives or preservatives. Our new My First Pizzas are not only delicious (as approved by our Tiny Tasters) – they also provide 1 portion of veg each, contain 35% less salt than the average children’s chilled pizza and of course have no added sugar, additives or preservatives.”

Below are a few questions for you to answer about trying Little Dish meals and pizzas with your DCs – feel free to add any other thoughts you may have though, we’d love to hear them.

fraggle84 the RRP for the pizzas has not yet been finalised and so unfortunately we can't let you know just yet. Please just say if you would recommend if it was at a price you found reasonable.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your feedback so far!

Here’s a message from Charlotte, the Marketing Director at Little Dish:

"Thanks everyone for all your feedback (good and less good!). It’s great to hear that our meals and pizzas have gone down so well with many of your little ones. I just wanted to comment on a couple of recurring themes in the feedback on the pizzas. These have been designed very much as a first pizza – for 1 to 3 year olds, but especially the younger end. Hence both the dinky size and also our big focus on low salt which is so important for this age group, and which means we can’t put loads of cheese on our pizzas (as cheese is high in salt). For children who are used to adult (or even other kids) pizzas on the market, which are typically high in salt and fat (and therefore delicious not great from a health perspective), Little Dish’s My First Pizzas could taste a bit bland. We’re hoping to get to little palates early, before they develop a taste for salt, and get them interested in yummy veggie tastes or interesting seasoning like pesto. Thanks for reading."
