Q1 - please give us some background on you and urine leakage - how old are you, how long have you experienced this and is it linked to a specific event eg pregnancy?
I'm 31 and have experienced urinary incontinence on and off for about three years. It got worse when I was pregnant in 2013, but wasn't caused by it. I have no idea what, if anything, did!
Q2 – what about the product itself - was it easy to use? What improvements would you like to see?
Very straightforward; it was just like a 'panty liner' really. I have no major complaints, though might suggest individual wrapping or the option to purchase some sort of discreet holder for when out and about.
Q3 - how do lights by TENA compare to your usual product or to your sanitary-wear?
Favourably. I found them generally very absorbent. Occasionally my leakage is moderate, even more occasionally heavy; the product didn't retain the wetness well on the one occasion it happened during the trial (in that I could feel the wetness - it didn't dribble or anything!), but it is not designed for this. It was good for normal, light leaks - in my view better than other, similar brands I've tried.
Q4 – Have you used other products for bladder weakness? If so what and how did lights by TENA compare?
I've used a few such products over the years, including other offerings from TENA. In addition to my comments on Q3, I'd say that these are as good as the other TENA products, but are by and large more discreet and portable. My experience has been that TENA towels/pads, including these ones, are usually superior to other brands I've tried.
Q5 - the RRP of Lights by Tena is £1.99 for 28 liners - do you think this is good value for money or not?
I think this is fairly reasonable, yes.
Q6 - would you buy lights by TENA in the future and would you recommend them to someone else who was suffering from urine leakage?
Yes. For someone experiencing a (relatively) minor affliction of this nature, these pads are an effective, pretty inexpensive way to avoid discomfort and embarrassment.
