DD is 17 months and we had size 4+.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They are really thin and soft but they have a strange smell to them that gets stronger once they're wet.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Daytime they were good. Dry, no leaks, really easy for DD to climb, run, jump etc but nighttime was awful. They leaked through by 1am (she goes to bed at 7pm and usually sleeps through) she woke distressed and it was because she was soaked. However she is a front sleeper and this could be why.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
In the daytime I would if the price was better. Our current nappies are cheaper for twice as many and don't leak overnight. We usually use cloth in the daytime.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
For fit definitely but for night dryness no, sorry.

DD 1yr 8mos size 5

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I've always used pampers on our DD so was confident that the active fit range would be just as good if not better.

They seemed a lot thinner and perfect for a very active, climbing toddler!

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Perfectly through the day time. We haven't used them through the night yet, I'm still using baby dry for night time as DD sleeps at least 12hrs I feel that the thicker nappy would hold more for her.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely!

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Definitely I love Pampers from new baby up!

MissRatty · 14/10/2014 16:57

Age of baby - 10 months
Size 4 nappies

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Nice designs, slim nappy.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Ok. I wouldn't say that it performed any better than our reusable nappies or the disposables we occasionally use at night (Aldi/Lidl). In fact the Aldi nappies we use are better. The Pampers seemed awfully jelly-like in consistency, and even during light day use didn't feel particularly dry inside, and we don't have a heavy wetter.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Only if we had another free sample I'm afraid. They didn't perform better than the cheaper brands we use, or the reusable nappies we use during the day.

Parent company Procter and Gamble are also exceptionally unethical.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

No.

Mrshairyhead · 14/10/2014 16:57

17 month old ds testing size 5

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Very reliable, slim fitting and stretchy.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They worked well and we had no leaks.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would use them again as I like the way they fit, but I did find that they smell very unpleasant once wet.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit
I would recommend but would have to mention the smell.
JuniperTisane · 14/10/2014 16:58

Mine only arrived today. Will give it a couple of days and report back.

Batbear · 14/10/2014 16:58

DS aged 13 months used 4+ nappies

Impression - less bulky than other nappies

How did they perform - they were fine during the day. No better or worse during the day and dry at night (which is the same as our usual cheaper nappies). But in the morning the nappies felt cold and he seemed less comfortable than normal.

Would I use again?
Only if I had limited options. I much prefer the Aldi nappies we usually use.

Would I recommend? Not above Aldi , no

wantacatplease · 14/10/2014 17:29

Hi,

I tried these on my 18 month old daughter, size 4+

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They are really thin compared to other brands I use, and the design on them is nice.

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

They've performed really well. We've had no leaks at all, even during 11-12 hour nights. DD seems comfortable in them.

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

We're on quite a budget, and Asda Smartprice nappies work really well for DD. She's always dry in them. So I would only buy these if I thought she was more comfortable due to the thinness, and if they were on special offer.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, if I felt they could justify the higher price.

Thanks very much for picking me to try these nappies out. Thanks

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Brilliant. Fit really well. We've never had a leak nor nappy rash nor sore marks from the elastic. They seem to absorb the moisture really well.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
I used them mainly during the day as (funnily enough) that's when my baby is active. We've never had a leak day or night.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
yes. love them. Cant's fault them (except for the nappy mountain out there somewhere that my guilty conscience is trying to ignore)
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Definitely.
PassTheBombaySapphire · 14/10/2014 17:41

ps- my daughter is a week shy of 1 and wears size 4.

Holfin · 14/10/2014 17:43

Tested size 4 on DS, just turned 2.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Thin, stretchy and looked comfy. They did have a scent though when I opened the packet which was a bit off-putting.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Very well. No leaks whatsoever even when worn throughout the night.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No. I have always used either Pampers Baby Dry or Simply Dry up until now which I have never had any problems with. As the Active Fit are more expensive there is no reason for me to switch to them, unless they were cheaper than the other Pampers.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
No - I would probably still recommended Pampers Baby Dry instead.

Kelsnack · 14/10/2014 17:57

DD is 29 months and size 5+

  • what was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Very good quality and the waist band tabs are quite strong in comparison to other brands

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

My DD is currently potty trained during the day (wasn't at the time of applying to test and there was quite a delay in being sent our samples) so have only been trying them at night, and found that they keep her quite dry, no leakage as you would get sometimes with other brands.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, for night time. I find that the pull-ups don't generally sit very well, whereas these do.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, although may be put off by the price.

PetaPipa · 14/10/2014 18:02

DS is nearly 7 months, testing size 4.
First impressions were good. Nice design, light and thin and they felt soft. I usually use Sainsbury's Little Ones nappies. The Pampers seemed larger - I think DS could have used a size 3 in these.
I've been using the nappies at night time and we haven't had any leaks. However, DS still feeds in the night and I have had to change the nappy once as it seems very full.
I would use them again if they were cheaper. They certainly are better than Sainsbury's, but not enough to justify the price!
I would recommend them to anyone who could afford it.

Bingbongbinglybunglyboo · 14/10/2014 18:03

Daughter 7 months size 3

No leaks but they smell really weird! Like really really weird!

They are really thin, but puff up massively when full ( especially overnight) so guess they do have good absorbency.

Would not buy due to price, not noticeably better than lidl/ other cheaper brands!

yazzy85 · 14/10/2014 18:09

Have been using size 6 for my 3 year old and 2 year old.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
The quality has imrpoved significantly from when I tried the Active Fit range last year. They are soft and look to be of good quality.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Very good in the daytime, flexible and lightweight, absorbed wetness and held in poos. At night they become very bulky and don't keep the kids dry compared to other nappies.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would use them again for daytime as they are flexible and lightweight, don't look bulky under clothes. Not the best for nightime though so I will have another dry night based nappy for bedtime.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes, they fit well and are comfortable for the little ones. The sizing I found quite large compared to before, they fit my 3 year old better and I would buy a size down for my 2 year old next time.
GodPlayedByJamesMason · 14/10/2014 18:16

Mine well DSs! still aren't here

loveandsmiles · 14/10/2014 18:18

Thanks for the nappies Smile - DD, 19 mths, size 5.

They are nice and thin, no bulk, so easy to move around in. The tabs are super, sticky and stay put. Easy to do up and stay put even when toddler is wriggling!

They performed perfectly day and night. No leaks at all. I have to say that at night I always change DDs nappy again when I go to bed around 10pm, so she is going from 10pm until 8am, which may not be as long as some night time sleeps. However, for the duration she wore them everything was fine.

Yes, will use them again, but will try to purchase when there are special promotions and buy in bulk.

I would absolutely recommend them to others.

fish88 · 14/10/2014 18:18

My little boy is 11 months old and we trialled size 4 nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
The felt nice and soft, they had an unpleasant chemical smell and performed similar to my usual brand.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Had no leaks but do not usually with normal nappies. Baby is often dry through the night anyway.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No because they are more expensive than usual brand but performance is similar.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
They fit my slim baby well but would recommend supermarket own brands for better value for money.
mum2tots · 14/10/2014 18:27

Size 5

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I thought they were lovely a thin and meant LO could wear leggings without a big bulky nappy on, much better for an older child. Liked the fit and the long tabs to tuck round.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They didn't leak, but the minute they were wet, they hung down, between her legs and looked awful.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, they hang down so far when wet it looks like you haven't changed a nappy all day. I normally use Aldi nappies and the quality is good and these are so much more expensive.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit? For fit yes, but not for dryness
Doingakatereddy · 14/10/2014 18:31

My daughter is 18 months old and we trailled 4+

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They are lighter, more flexible & softer than sainsburys, Tescos and ASDA. However, they're expensive.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Great during day, but at night they couldn't manage volume of urine like pampers baby dry or supermarket, they left sleepsuit damp and bum red. I stopped usinng them at night.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would for day times when I know she'll be active, soft play etc. I wouldn't for night. But purchase would be relative to price against supermarket 1-2p per nappy and I'd probably go pampers, more than that supermarket - but then I'd also have to buy seperate night nappies.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes if they were happy to pay extra, but frankly these days everyone no matter how posh, wants a bargain

PostladyPat · 14/10/2014 18:32

Used these on my chunky 9 month old. They were a bit smaller than our normal 4s so I think I would move to a 5 if I bought them again.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I liked them. They were slim and not too bulky. They did smell a bit odd though.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Well. We had no leaks day or night. He was able to move around well.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No as too expensive.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes if that person could afford them
miekecontreras · 14/10/2014 18:52

DS Age 9 months, size 4

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They tended to feel a bit damp on the outside resulting in his clothes being a little damp after a while. The smell was also not great. I did like that they were thin and light which was great for him during the day as he is very active. I like bold colours, so the design wasn't really my cup of tea, but that is a minor detail.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
During the day they were good, during the night not so much. It seemed as though they filled up a lot more at night, so I would rather use them during the day.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I may use them again if they are on offer. The reason I would not use them is because I prefer an all-round nappy which I can use day and night.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
For fit yes, for dryness not really.
SweetPeaPods · 14/10/2014 18:53

Ds15m size 4+
Overall impression good. Nice and thin and fit well. Don't seem to affect crawling or walking in any way.
Performed well. No leaks.
Would use again. Will prob stick to pampers baby dry at night as better value for money and I felt they were better for night.
Yes would recommend if it came up in conversation.

arianah2014 · 14/10/2014 18:54

My Precious Daughter is 9months old.
Usually use Pampers Baby Dry 4/4+
But apparently I was sent 3+ but guess what they fit perfectly.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active fit?
Well I thought it wasnt that colourful
as my usual nappies but when I just
had good feel of the nappy it was so
thin&lighter even when very wet the
nappy wasnt bulky. Its a night and day nappy.
Would I buy this product again or recommend it to any one
Yes definitely.its a bit pricey but a good quality range.but they do have offers around the year so its best to buy in bulk.

naps wasnt heavy felt really light,no
Leak at all,or bulky.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 14/10/2014 19:07

DS is 7 months and had size 3.

-What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I am a big fan of Baby Dry having used them with my DD and DS. I was surprised that these really are noticeably thinner and more elasticated around the leg.

They fitted DS well and kept him dry. I liked them.

  • How did they perform day and night?

I only used them once at night. I still much prefer Pampers Baby Dry for night. These aren't substantial enough for night as I don't change DS in the night. Only Baby Dry can cope with that!

They were super in the day. Withstood all his rolling about and contained his poo!

  • Would you use them again?

Yes, but only for the day.

  • Would you recommend them?

Yes.

SylviaSylvia · 14/10/2014 19:12

I am a bit confused about these - they work well, the tabs hold remarkably well and the nappy keeps him dry most of the time, but my overwhelming impression of Pampers ActiveFit nappies is that they are a this pile of plastic. The smell - I kept thinking I had to change the nappy because of the strong smell. I think if I kept using them, my son might have a skin reaction to the chemicals in the nappies - because there are some mighty ones there judging by the smell! Otherwise, the nappies are quite good: I would use them as "leak-proofs", e.g. for air travel or when I know changing the baby would be difficult. But not overnight, and not on a regular basis. I'd recommend to friends on this limited basis.
