  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I really like them as they're nice and thin and absorb lots of wee. Great for the daytime.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Great in the day, I was really impressed. I didn't like them for the nightime though. They just aren't as absorbant as pampers baby dry.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes for sure.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes for daytime use for active crawling babies.

Ntinyn · 28/10/2014 14:38

My baby is 10 months old and I tried size 4.

Ordered 4+
Since bought size 5 myself which are a better fit for largish 22 month old.

Seemed to fit better now DS had slimmed down, was very chunky when younger and we had leaking issues. Older son was a slender baby and we always used Pampers for him.

Like how slim the nappies are folded and how they stay folded in bag compared to other brands.

The lining feels softer than Morrisons own brands when dry. Morrisons lining is actually scratchy, never realised but I wouldn't want against my own skin!

No leaking issues

Would buy if on offer.

Micksy · 28/10/2014 17:08

I got size 5. A good fit and dry but since applying little one decided nappies were for babies and refused to wear at night or day so not tested heavily.

pegster · 28/10/2014 21:16

Daughter aged 11 months wearing size 4
The nappies were nice & thin & fitted well
There were no leaks & they never felt over-full however she was more red & suffered more nappy rash while wearing them (she is teething)
I would not switch brands for this reason & because they are considerably more expensive than my supermarket own-brand which perform equally well, if not better
I wouldn't actively recommend them because of the increased soreness

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Reluctantly very impressed. I normally use Tesco own brand but I've been having problems with leakages and pooplosions. The Pampers nappies have had a better fit, lasted longer when 'filled' and kept my son dryer with less skin irritation. Looks like I'm going to have to switch brands.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Very well, better fit for daytime activities and no nighttime leakages.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, they performed better than my usual brand.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes but only if they said they were having issues with dryness or fit since they are more expensive than other brands.
crimsonwitch · 29/10/2014 20:56

Really wanted to do this product test, but I never received the nappies . Angry

Discoflame · 29/10/2014 21:05

Finally getting round to this! Sorry for delay!

DD is 2 and using size 4.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I like how thin they are, hate bulky nappy bum! But they do smell funny.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
During the day they were great for wet nappies, they couldn't contain a dirty nappy however, which was disappointing. I didn't use them over night as I felt they made my DD a bit red and I didn't want to leave her in them too long.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Hard to say, they are expensive and I wouldn't use them overnight but they were thin and she moved better with them on so good for running around.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Again, hard to say... Would recommend as a daytime nappy only.
Karen1408 · 29/10/2014 21:25

Child is 14 months old, we used size 4+ nappies

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Positive - the nappies were thin and light, I liked the elasticated panel at the back which stops the nappy from 'gaping'.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
great in the day, but didn't try at night as we use a bigger size for nighttimes after too many leaks!
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, we liked the nappies but the price is a bit of a deterrent. Other nappies do almost as good a job for much less.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes
Slydragon · 30/10/2014 14:39

My little boy is 2 in size 5+ nappies

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

They fit well, seem comfortable and flexible. Plenty of flexibility in the fit round the tummy and good length.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Both day and night kept my boy dry with only a couple of exceptions (they were times of heavy weeing!)

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes though they are expensive and I only buy when on offer otherwise I will buy shops own brands.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes though would let them know to buy when on offer.

Nikkinaknoo · 30/10/2014 15:32

My daughter is 23m and we tried size 5

First impressions were good, I like how thin they are and also the cute designs

They worked brilliantly for us day and night. I wanted to take part in this trial as my daughter was waking up in the morning wet on her pyjamas so the Pampers active fit nappies worked fantastically and she was dry everyday when she woke up

I would definitely buy these nappies, although only for on a nighttime as they are too expensive for us, so we will stick to supermarket own brand for daytime use.

Yes, I would recommend to others.

mylittlel · 30/10/2014 15:57
  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
they are thinner than any other nappies we have tried
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
we didn't have to change at night as they could hold enough wee
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would for the right prize
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I would certainly would say "give it a go"
MrsLJ2014 · 30/10/2014 16:22

Tried size 3 Active Fit nappies with my 5 month old son.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I already use pampers new baby and baby dry nappies and these seemed a similar quality to those although they did fit more snugly.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They were great - no leaks (but then we've luckily never had any leaks with the new baby / baby dry ones either!)

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I will certainly add them to my list to try when my son is even more active - eg, crawling. This is because they were a good tight fit around his legs / waist.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I would say that they are worth trying, especially if they could be bought on a special offer but I would also happily recommend Pampers baby dry at the moment, which are usually cheaper.

It was great to get a free pack to try - thank you!!

bouncinbean · 30/10/2014 16:25

DD is 16 months and in 4+

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Thought they were good - and like many have mentioned they are a nice slim fit when dry. When they get wet then they bulk up alot more than the aldi mamia ones. At first I thought I must have left DD for too long and not checked her till I realised that.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They were good - pretty active little girl in the day and no issues. She does a long 12 hour sleep at night and even though the nappy was full in the morning there were no issues either. But then our usual brand performs exactly the same.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't go out of my way to buy them because actually we don't have an issue with our current brand and these ones are significantly more expensive. Cost is a major factor for us.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I probably would mention that I'd tried them and they were nice, but I wouldn't specifically recommend them. I don't find this kind of conversation crops up - a more likely scenario is that we tell each other when there are offers on.
Caillou · 30/10/2014 19:50

Dd is 3 and we tried size 4+ at night time only (she is now dry during the day)

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I thought that they were very thin, and looked a bit flimsy compared to supermarket own brand that I usually buy.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

We didn't use during the day, but were ok for night time

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I probably wouldn't use them again as I find them too expensive, sorry

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes I might

Rooflesstoofless · 30/10/2014 21:02

My son is 2.5 and in size 5s.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I opened the pack and was horrified at the chemical/perfume smell. So disappointing.

I loved the pattern on the nappies, really pretty and interesting.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

Used mostly at night as my son is in pull ups often in the day. Nappies left him as dry as any other nappy, by the morning the nappy is pretty sodden, and smell strongly of urine, same as any others. His skin was, damp, of course, but not irritated. I really was worried that they might irritate his skin as he has eczema, and for that reason I am unlikely to use them long term.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

As above - the smell is unpleasant. Certainly perfumed sanitary protection irritated me hugely, so I don't feel comfortable putting it on my little lad who has sensitive skin anyway, in the long term.

There is no way I would use them on my newborn, I won't use soap on him, so why use a nappy covered in perfume?

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

The fit is fantastic, so thin, soft and stretchy. I would recommend for those reasons, but would also inform anyone of that smell, and the fact they are probably twice as expensive as own brands elsewhere which do the same job for literally half the price.

JustCallMeBaldrick · 30/10/2014 22:32

My DD is 8 months old, and we had size 3+ nappies to try.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I thought they were nice and thin, so they didn't impede DD's movements at all.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They were fine during the day, but we did have a couple of nights where they leaked. I also kept thinking she'd done a poo, as the nappies had a very peculiar smell once they were wet.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would only use them if they were on offer, as they are a lot more expensive than the own-brand nappies I usually buy.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I would say that I'd tried them, and they fit well.
Itiswell · 31/10/2014 00:41

DS is 8m+ and received size 4 nappies

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Child friendly design, light and thin nappy, strong chemical smell

*- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
It mostly held wee for many hours throughout the night though there were a few times when wee leaked even though the nappy had been won for less than 12hours. Whenever it was changed, baby's bottom was dry

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I will use it again as baby grows up and moves even more, when i know i might not be able to change wee nappies for longer hours than usual. I must say that I can't get over wonder about the chemicals that keeps wetness away for up to 12 hours and its potential impact or non-impact on my little one - it would be nice to have this information. I probably will only buy them during baby events to save money.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I would recommend it for dryness and fit, though i'm also likely to comment on the chemical smell

3isthemajicnumber · 31/10/2014 06:49

My child is 9 months
I tried out 3+

My overall impression is that they were very thin so was not sure if they would work against leaks. This is great as it means that my little boy could move about much more easily,

They have a bit of a funny smell. A bit almondy when dry but then chemical when wet.

They are quite a right fit around the top of the thigh but that could be that by the time I received them my child could possible have had then next size up.

They held up really well against leaks I was surprised as they are quite thin and make it easy for your baby to move. However they do get very full quite quickly.

I liked that the inside stayed dry away from my babies skin.

Overall I would not be tempted away from my normal brand. They are much more expensive and don't really offer anything different.

I would probably not recommend them to a friend. I would be more likely to mention the funny smell.

poppetina · 31/10/2014 10:13

DD is 12 months old. We trialled the 4+

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Great. Not too bulky but very absorbent. DD seemed very happy in them.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Excellent. Nappies felt fairly full in the morning but no leaks and DD's skin felt pretty dry.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes definitely. Will buy 4+ again! they're not as bulky as the 5s but still absorb a lot.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes I would. We've been really happy with them.
nomoreminibreaks · 31/10/2014 11:53

My son is 9.5 months old and tested a size 4.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Very thin and fit well.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

We just used them during the day mostly as he moves around more. They performed really well, though to be fair now he's on solids we don't have the 'poonami' situations to deal with that would sometimes cause leaks in other nappies.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

If it came up, yes I would.

captaincake · 31/10/2014 13:02

I tried size 3+ on my 5 month old DS

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I like the design and they DS seemed comfortable and able to move freely in them.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Didn't use them at night. But they performed well in the day. As well as his ASDA nappies but I wouldn't say much if at all better.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No because of the smell. It's really weird and very off putting. DS smelt horrible most of the day. I'll stick to the pampers baby dry at night and something else in the day. Disappointing because they were otherwise fine and if it weren't for the smell I would use them again because they performed and fit very well. The fit was better than other brands.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes. But I would also mention the price and the smell.

Wincher · 31/10/2014 13:55
  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I wasn't impressed. They were thin and I liked the pictures, but performance was not good enough.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Every time my DS pooed in the nappies, it leaked. We had poo exploding up the back, out the leg holes, even up the front. I don't get this problem with other brands of nappies. Wee was fine, but that doesn't help if poo isn't.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, due to the leaking poo issue. Plus they are expensive.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
No.
cadidog · 31/10/2014 19:55

DS age 9 months, size 4

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I liked the design and they were thin which was handy for cramming a few extra in the changing bag. They fit well too, I really liked the stretchy tabs.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Pretty well, I did have one leaking moment in the daytime but they worked well overnight
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, now my fella is more mobile having a slim nappy is great
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes but it's possible to get a similar performance from a cheaper nappy.
leannew219 · 31/10/2014 20:00

I was really impressed with pampers acti-fit. I had no leaks throughout the product trial and that's impressive for my little boy as we usually have many leaks with other nappies. They held up throughout the day and night with no problems . Every time he was changed his skin felt dry to the touch so they locked in wetness. I would defiantly use these again and recommend them to others. Just wish the price was a bit lower.
