Tested pampers easy fit on Son age 3( night time use) and nephew aged 2.day and night time use. Overall score 3 out of 5.

Night time use for my son - he has not been well full of cold so unsettled nights. He will wake himself up to go the toilet but when he has been able to sleep most of the night the nappy has leaked, same with my nephew ( a lot wetter so leaks much more too)

Daytime use is great for my nephew not to bulky and changed regulaly so no accidents. Wears them for long car journeys and whilst in play centres too.

I would recommend these pampers active fit for potty training but not for night time wear. Pampers regular nappies are much better at night. These nappies have an unpleasant smell when my nephew has worn them of a night?

wikitwitter · 24/10/2014 09:38

DS 9 months size 4

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They were very thin, it actually made some of his trousers wear funny as his nappy didn't fill them out as much as other brands do. However from being very thin when put on, they seemed to bulk out a lot once my son had wee'd. They seemed comfortable for my son to wear.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They were good, we had one poo leak but i'm not sure if the fit was right for him, he could definitely have done with a 4+ by the time we got these nappies as they seemed a little narrow
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
My baby was a little too wide in the bum for these nappies, they didn't seem to stretch far enough across him but I don't know if this was because we need to size up. Also they had a really strong chemical smell which I was not keen on. However, i would try the next size up to be sure - they would need to be on special offer due to the price.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I'd recommend them to those parents who are looking for a very slim fit nappy, I would mention the smell to them however as I found this quite off putting.
whatsonyourplate · 24/10/2014 10:46

DD has just turned 2 and was trying size 4+ nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They were a very slim nappy and nice and stretchy which meant it was easy to get a good fit. I haven't noticed the bad smell some other people have mentioned.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They seemed fine. We didn't have any leaks, although DD is not a very heavy wetter. There was no gel leakage when wet, which I have had with some other types of Pampers. I did find they dug in a little on DD's hips when wet (and thus heavy), but I think that was because she could have done with a size 5 instead (had a growth spurt recently).
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would if I couldn't get my normal nappies (Aldi), but generally not because of the price.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes.
Snakesandpropertyladders · 24/10/2014 11:00

I trialled size 4+ for my 14 month old.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

Thin, which I liked as I think it looks better on.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Managed to contain everything inclusing when my baby had a bout of diarrhoea. No nightime leaks either. Though I do agree with the bad smell when they are full. That's not too much of a problem though.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would use them again if they were on offer.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

No probably not as they didn't perform outstandingly over my usual, cheaper, brand.

Patilla · 24/10/2014 13:49

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I liked the fit, think it suits DD aged 18 months. Seems much more suitable now she is on the move.

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Great in the day, no problem. I'd have to agree with the other testers who said that the performance wasn't great at night, they didn't seem to have the same capacity as our usual baby dry nappies.

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'm seriously considering it for the daytime, particularly for her toddler gymnastics class, they were great for when she is clambering up foam steps and bouncing around! I would keep a pack of baby dry nappies for the nights, which is fine as they are the cheaper option!

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I would for fit but less so for dryness. I don't mind so much during the day as I can keep an eye on her and change when needed which is no bad thing for her skin and might make her more aware in prep for the dreaded potty training!

Patilla · 24/10/2014 13:51

Argh hit "post" while trying to add in DD is, as stated, 18 months and we tried 4+ but I prob would have chosen size 5 now as she went up a nappy size while waiting for the nappies to come! Typical!

LondonLancashireRose · 24/10/2014 14:06

We trialled size 5 for my 18-month old DS

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They were fine. About the same size and shape as our usual brand. I kept getting confused as to which way round they went (brain just wouldn't engage!) as our usual nappies only have a design on the front!

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
They did leak at night but then our usual nappies did the same that week. DS was going through a phase of wanting a lot to drink before bed which could only end one way! Fine during the daytimes.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, because they are significantly more expensive than our usual nappies (we buy Kiddicare just4bums in bulk packs!)
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Not really, because of the price. We are really happy with our cheapo nappies so would more likely recommend them instead!
missknows · 24/10/2014 14:57

My DD was 8 months (just turned 9) and we tried size 4.

-What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I was happy with the nappy overall. It was thinner than I was use to but this didn't seem a problem.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

The performance was as I would expect from pampers. Only one leak from the whole pack which could be down to me not putting it on right. I have complete faith in this product.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use them again. I would use either them or pampers baby dry depending on what was cheapest/on offer at the time.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

I would recommend them on the whole and certainly for fit. I think baby dry give me a tiny bit more confidence on the dry front though.

RozTheSchnoz · 24/10/2014 19:37

DS is 20 months old and wears size 5 nappies.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I thought that they were good nappies. Generally reliable and easy to use; comfortable for DS to wear.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
We had no issues with leakages during the day or at night so I would say they performed well.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I might use them again, however I usually use the Baby Dry Pampers and found that the Active Fit were as good but Baby Dry are cheaper so I'm more likely to opt for the Baby Dry, to be honest.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit? I would tell other parents about the dryness and fit although as I have already mentioned, they are more expensive than other Pampers nappies.
icecreamcrackers · 24/10/2014 20:01

DD 2 1/2 years size 5+

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

On first opening I didn't like the very overpowering smell, a bit like strong plastic and glue, which actually made me feel quite dizzy. These nappies are also quite thin and I didn't think they would hold much in.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
I have found that the nappies have not leaked and also the inside of the nappies are not clumping together like some other brands.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would use these again if they happened to be on special offer as I feel they are pricey. This may also be because I use tesco value nappies with no problems at all at £1.41.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes I would recommend pampers actifit as they seem to be more than capable of the job but would probably also mention that cheaper nappies can be just as good.

MrsH79 · 24/10/2014 20:21

Active Fit - Size 5+ on my 3 year old at nights

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Cute designs, easy to apply and remove, soft and flexible when moving around
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Used at night, remained dry and comfortable, didnt wake to be changed, no leakage.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would use them again, suitable for a very active toddler
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes i would
smaths · 24/10/2014 21:15

I am primarily a user of cloth/washable nappies and have a DD aged 1. When I have occasion to use disposables, i use the lidl own brand. I trialed the size 4 nappy as she's 16lbs.

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I thought it was slightly strange that the nappies were perfumed, a bit like baby powder, when I opened the pack. But other than that I was quite impressed at how thin they were and the pictures etc were appealing. The feel was not what I'm used to, but not unpleasant. The fit was good.

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
I only used them at night as I used cloth nappies in day time. I was impressed at just how dry they were inside in the morning, though I did wonder if they might dry out the skin if worn all the time. DD2 is not a heavy wetter, so I cannot comment on capacity. Some nights she hardly pees at all. DD1 at the same age would pee over 700ml over night and I had serious trouble finding nappies that would cope. I would have liked to have seen how they coped with her.

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't, not for any real reason other than the lidl ones I currently use give me no cause for complaint and are half the price.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I would say they did the job if asked, but would probably recommend the lidl nappies as I think they are perfectly acceptable and much cheaper

sophmiester · 24/10/2014 22:14

size 5+ for my 2 year old son

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit? Great nappies have had far less leaks since switching to this style in the day
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time? Better in the day when moving around alot but found the baby dry nappies more absorbent at night
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes they appear more comfortable for my little boy to play in during the day
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit? yes however would recommend baby dry for night time

DD aged 7 months size 4

- What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Like to look of them although they looked thinner than my usual nappy

- How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
These nappies seemed to need changing more frequently than my usual nappy, we also had a few leaks whilst using the pampers

- Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I prefer my usual nappies if I am honest they seem to perform better than the pampers and are cheaper

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
I don;t think I would

coldofhands · 25/10/2014 03:16

DS is 5 months and size 3

Overall impression

They're soft and sturdy and fit nicely.. They do smell weird though

Day and night performance

Fine during the night, bottom was dry in the morning. we did have an explosi-poo during the day that leaked though which ended all up his back and around his legs

Would you use them again

They're really expensive in comparison to our usual nappies, so probably not - excepting special offers

Recommend?

Yes, aside from the weird smell - others might be able to stretch to them

Twixxie · 25/10/2014 09:05

We tried out Pampers Active Fit size 5 with my very slim 20 month old toddler girl.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I like the design and so did my daughter. The nappies feel very slim and do not look bulky under leggings etc.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
No problems at all with leakage, day or night. Her bottom seemed very dry when removing the nappy.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes definitely.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Yes definitely.
nushcar · 25/10/2014 13:18

Hello, my son is 25 months and he was trialling size 6 Pampers Active Fit.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?

I have to say that it has been a while since I used Pampers. I use them off and on if they are on offer only usually as they are more expensive than my usual brand, however, my instant impression was how thin and light they are compared to all other brands, the decoration is the best (this is surprisingly important sometimes as my son is at an age when he is not always plaint in having his nappy changed and being able to select a nappy with a picture he likes makes all the difference (!) and the smell of the nappy itself reminded me vaguely of newborns as it had a Metanium (nappy cream) type smell. The sticky tabs were very secure.

  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?

They performed very well during day and for night, to be honest, I change the nappy at 10pm still (whilst he is asleep) as am loathe to trust any nappy all the way through the night.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Certainly, I think they are great nappies. Arguably, the best. They are too expensive to make them my regular buy however. I bought them more often when my child was younger and accidents were more likely. At toddler (almost potty training age), I think the quality of nappy matters less.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, it did keep him and dry and fitted comfortably, so would definitely recommend on these bases.

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 25/10/2014 17:32

I tried size 5 with my 18 month old.

  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
I liked that they were a lot less bulky than other brands i.e Boots and Asda. I also like the designs on them - they held my DD's interest with the different animals...although she called each one a doggy!
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
I only used them a couple of times at night as I already experienced wee leaking through to the vest in the day so after this and reading the feedback in here, I wasn't too keen to try them overnight. We didn't have any poo leaks.
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't particularly go out of my way to buy them but if they were the best value nappy offer then I would.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
No,I wouldn't specifically recommend them for dryness (as we had leaks) or fit (as there were red marks on my DD's legs from the inner cuffs).
Hmassey · 25/10/2014 19:03

Hi thankyou for the oppertunity to test these heres my review:

  1. my overall impression of pampers active fit are they look good and the sizings perfect

2)pampers active fit performed perfect through the day and night no leakages at all

  1. yes definately had no issues at all no leakages and ive noticed the stores nearly always have good offers on

  2. yes i alreadyhave reccomended them to lots of friends

Madratlady · 25/10/2014 19:19

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Thinner and less bulky than some other nappies, pretty pattern
They had quite a strong 'chemically' smell

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time
When changing him he didn't seem any dryer than with our normal nappies. They also needed changing more frequently and leaked occasionally during the day and frequently at night. He isn't a particularly active baby.

Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No because of the frequency of leaks and also the odd chemically smell.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
No

Gangamai · 25/10/2014 20:31

I was testing the 4+ for my 3 year old.

What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
They are nice and thin with good Velcro, but smell strongly of marzipan which I found unnerving.

How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
My daughter is mostly potty trained so they were only used when out for long days/car journeys and night time. I found the day ok, however every morning her pjs were soaked. We don't have this problem with our usual nappy.

  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
No. The chemical smell was off putting, and they simply leak at night.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?

No. Due to price and leakage.

puddleduck16 · 25/10/2014 21:48

Dd is 8 months and trialling size 3

  1. Pleased with the fit, much less bulky than the pampers baby dry and felt they absorbed better than the baby dry. See previous posters commenting about the odour. I feel the baby dry has a worse odour.
  2. We had no leaks during the day and felt I didn't need to change as much. We had no rashes. At night we had no leaks through the legs but did have a few nights where she was wet underneath the armpit, even though we know to ensure good fit and nice and tight. However this happens with the baby dry too.
  3. I would use them again over the pampers baby dry. However I only buy pampers when they are on special offer due to the price. The benefits of pampers aren't that great to pay so much more compared to supermarket own brands.
  4. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend them but if it came up in conversation then I wouldn't have many bad things to say about them.
Prawnskewer · 25/10/2014 21:56
  • What was your overall impression of Pampers Active Fit?
Nice design, thinner than usual baby dry nappies that we use, they feel a bit more 'crunchy' than the baby dry and I'm not massively keen on the 'Velcro' fastening.
  • How did Pampers Active Fit perform through the day and at night time?
Unfortunately we've had some dampness on DS clothes during the day after only a few hours so I didn't risk at night time (struggle enough with sleep as it is without wet bedclothes!)
  • Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Probably not, I've only used throughout the day whereas the Baby Dry nappies that I usually use are worn day and night so I wouldn't buy only for daytime use.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Active Fit to other parents for dryness and fit?
Not the Active Fit...I would the Baby Dry though Wink

Other comments:
The designs are more fun, I like the thin-ness (if they were as effective as Baby Dry) and I actually quite like the smell!

Prawnskewer · 25/10/2014 21:57

To add to above, I was testing Size 4 on 12 month old DS (20lbs)
