Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I am still using newborn nappies for my lo so in comparison the baby-dry nappy seemed bulky. They are far more absorbent and don't go 'damp' if left on overnight so I'm more than happy to leave the nappy without changing at night feed. I would def use them again to avoid the need for changing at night which in turn avoids 'over-waking my lo'. I use this type only at night.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I've only ever used pampers so can't compare with other brands but I do find baby-dry effective at reducing the chance of leaks. I also use baby-dry on my 2.9yo at night time but we do sometimes have leaks with him.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are more expensive than other brands but I am willing to pay as they are respected and seem to work for us.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would recommend to others

Apologies to MNHQ for delay...completely forgot...sorry!

Tested on 6 month old DS - used size 4

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I do use Baby-Dry nappies most of the time...tried other brands and supermarket own with current baby to see if I could get away from a more expensive nappy but came back to Pampers every time...would probably use Active-Fit if I could afford them but these are now slimmer than 3 years ago when DS1 was a baby and seem as good as the Active Fit were then...

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
See above...we have tried alternatives since DS2 was born - each time I feel the price is justified by the superior performance...I would rather pay a few more pence per nappy than neccessitate a full change of clothes after every poo!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Yes they are good value - a sensible middle ground between very expensive, premium Active-Fit and a budget (budshit) nappy that leaks everywhere. Also we only use approx 5 nappies in 24 hours....DS wears one from bathtime (6.30ish) through till approx 8 in the morning when he gets up... no rash, no damp patches, no leakage...I am always tempted to weigh the morning nappy as it is so incredibly "full".

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would and frequently do...I also recommend Lidl nappies but only once child is a bit older, for some reason the smaller ones are not as effective.

My son is 6 months old and we tested the size

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

A: I believe pampers baby dry are the best on the market they don't leak are very absorbent and not bulky like some of the other nappies can be. We would definitely use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

A: I never have had a problem with Pampers leaking, when my son was first born we had a lot of huggies nappies to use and they would always leak. since switching to pampers I have never used another brand as I know it offers reliable protection again leakage.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

A: They are expensive but they are worth it as they have 12 hour protection and are absorbent. I like that they go on offer sometimes so you can get 2 boxes for £20 which helps save money.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

A: Yes, best on the market, very reliable, not bulky

FatimaLovesBread · 10/06/2013 22:43

I tested on DD1 who was 5 months old at the time, 15lb so tested size 3.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I had already used pampers baby dry a couple of times mainly as a night time nappy. I had some pampers simply dry that I'd been using during the day but I found they don't do very well for the whole night.
I took the test pack on holiday and so used them day and night. I wanted something that wouldn't leak while flying and during the night. They are very good at holding lots of wee in, often for over 10 hours. When they're first put on they're not bulky. I like that the absorbent layer seems to stretch further round and up the back than other in have used.

I would recommend them to friends as a good nappy for situations such as night time where you need a good absorbency and no leaking.

We did have a couple of instances of poo leaks, this is mainly when an early morning poo has occurred on an already full nappy. The weight of the nappy can pull it away so there is a less snug fit around the legs. This then leaves gaps for poo leakage. I think this would probably have happened regardless of which nappy she was wearing.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They were very good for dryness and no leaking, they seemed to hold the wee away from the bottom too. They're better than some other I've used such as Pampers Sinply Dry but on a par with Lidl Tojours. I do prefer the feel of the baby dry, but I've found lidls good at overnights too.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I tend to only buy them when on offer or at baby events. If you pay full price they are expensive compared to own brands. I tend to use cheaper ones during the day when nappy changing is more frequent and pampers baby Dry at night, that way you need less of them and so don't need to spend as much. I do think that they're better value than the pampers simply dry though as although they are cheaper you end up using more.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend for night time but maybe not to use all the time as I feel there are cheaper alternatives out there that would do just as good a job during the day.

sabrinaSchreiner · 10/06/2013 22:44

We tested the Size 4 ^^

Frolly · 10/06/2013 22:53

I tried size 4 on my 13 month year old and have to say I have absolutely no complaints, they do not leak, they do not cause any discomfort, they are competitively priced an all round winner!

SiobhanSmall · 10/06/2013 23:01

I tested size 3 Baby dry nappies on my 20 week old little boy. I was very impressed. they kept him dry all night and we had no leaks. I would definitely use again and have bought more to keep us going. I got a good deal for them on Amazon and I will keep using Pampers. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

mphu · 11/06/2013 01:21

I've tested size 4 on 8.5 month old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Very happy with the results! Good quality, thin & soft, kept baby dry all night.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Compare to other nappies, Pampers are very absorbent & protect from leakage.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Good, especially when they are on offer in supermarkets.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Highly recommend

Ridger · 11/06/2013 01:31
  1. they kept my 4mth old dry and comfy would defentiy use again 2)kept him dry over night for over 12 hrs 3)bit more expensive but well worth money
  2. would defiantly recommend as now only ones I use to keep my boy dry and comfy at night
Samilla · 11/06/2013 03:35

I trialled size 3 nappies on my 4-5 month old

Q1 I was really impressed with the nappies and would definitely use them again. They fit snugly and have a nice soft feel to them (unlike other nappies which can feel quite stiff)

Q2 The nappies offered really good absorbency and I enjoyed 30 night with no leaks (which hasn't been my experience with other brands)

Q3 I think Pampers Baby Dry nappies are more expensive than other brands but I never had to change my baby in the night when using them so I used fewer nappies therefore providing overall better value for money

Q4 I would definitely recommend Pampers Baby Dry nappies to other parents

nadiras · 11/06/2013 08:57
  1. I was impressed with how they kept my 3 month old baby dry overnight without any crystals forming. However was not impressed with the chemical type smell that the nappies have.
  2. I was impressed with nappy having minimum leakages overnight during a time when baby had a tummy bug. Nappy did leak but not as bad as other nappies we have tried. Just as good as boots active stretch.
  3. nappies are expensive compared to other brands and the amount you get in them. If they are on offer would purchase them.
  4. would recommend to friends when on offer
bvmsmummy · 11/06/2013 09:39

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.

13 months (but born 7 weeks prem), wearing size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

We use them at night because our lo used to leak and sometimes need a full change of nappy, sleepsuit and sheets! He doesn't leak at all in these nappies and seems to be quite comfy. I don't like the chemically smell, although its not as band as some other commercial brands.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Really good, no problems at all.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They're not the cheapest but since we only use them at night we don't go through that many.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend them for night time dryness.

Pampers Baby Dry:
Carry Pack - £6.49
Economy Pack - £9.99
Jumbo Box - £12.99
Mega Box - £17.49
Giga Box - £22.99

philyphilphil · 11/06/2013 09:39

very impressed , no bulging, no funny smell and helped with nappy rashed bottoms, would definitely buy again.

larrykins · 11/06/2013 09:47

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They kept my little boy slightly drier than other branded nappies but not for the full 12 hours. although he does drink a lot before bed so maybe this is why

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They are slightly better than my usual brand of nappies, you can definitely notice a difference but it wasn't a significant difference. Still better though.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are a little more expensive per nappy compared to my usual brand of kiddicare just for bums. I think they are slightly better however not massively different for the price difference

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes! Pampers are a trusted brand, everyone knows of them, they are good nappies, keep the baby dry and happy.

Rita26 · 11/06/2013 11:26

I have been trying size 4 on my 1 year old

Q1
With these nappies I am extremely happy! Leak free and super absorbent, definitely keeps my baby dry all night long.

Q2
I been using other brands and pampers active fit,but these ones has best protection from leak. Really pleased with them for my child's undisturbed night sleep.

Q3
As a single pack they quite expensive, but fair price for a jumbo, mega or giga boxes, definitely gonna buy one of them!

Q4
As these nappies are my new favourite, I am already recommend them to my sister and will keep recommend them to others.

cleo1234 · 11/06/2013 12:45

8 month baby - Size 4 nappies tried

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely use Pampers again but have gone back to a different size. I used size 4 but I believe that size 3 would have been better for my baby as her waist is small.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I originally used Huggies which I found leaked a lot.I have confidence in Pampers and they did not leak as much as other brands have. I found that baby is comfortable in Pampers even if it is wet in comparison to other brands.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think that these prices are very expensive. I think that they are good to use but not at the prices listed below.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend Pampers baby dry to other parents but would recommend that they search for deals as I think the prices are way too expensive to spend on nappies. Great quality but not brilliant prices.

mummygardyne · 11/06/2013 12:47

I am testing on my 15month old daughter

Q1 My overall impression was very favourable, they stayed leak free even over long periods of time and were a nice fit.

Q2 I have only ever used Pampers nappies, and had moved onto pull ups for my daughter, but it was quite handy to have a proper nappy as you did not need to do a total bottom half strip to change her nappy,I think they also fitted better after a whole night as the tape kept the nappy secure, whereas the pull ups tend to be falling down by morning.

Q3 I do think the pampers are good value for money as they do last for a long period of time and my daughter seemed to be very happy wearing them.

Q4 I would always recommend Pampers to friends / family as it is a brand that I trust and have always been happy with, and more importantly my daughter was happy wearing them.

Many thanks for allowing me to test the produce

Flavs1 · 11/06/2013 12:58

I tested the size 3 nappies on my 7 month old and was very happy with the results.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like the fit and feel of the nappy. They are very lightweight, not bulky and allow my little one to move easily. I would and have continued to use these nappies.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

With other branded nappies I have found that if the nappy was very full (wet) this would have normally leaked out fo the top of the nappy or round the leg area. We had a few of these on the test and found that the Pampers held up to this and my little one was also dry as well.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I do think that they are very good value for money as you know that they are going to do what you are asking of them. With other brands I was finding that even in the daytime with leaks this was increasing the amount of clothes changes, which in turn more washing etc, etc.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definately recommend them and have to friends. Leakeage is something that every mum would like to aviod as this is not nice for us or for the littel one either.

Pippy1983 · 11/06/2013 14:02

Size 4 on my 6.5month son.
Q1. Very impressed with this nappy. My son seems happy and dry when using them.

Q2. I find that they do keep my son dry throughout the night. He used to wake earlier and crying for a nappy change because he was wet, but using these he wakes up without crying and much happier.

Q3. They are a slightly higher price point but for my sons comfort it is worth it! ;-)

Q4. I would recommend to others. And have already recommended to my sister who is expecting!

unbuckle · 11/06/2013 15:28

Yy to not liking 'golden sleep' and also the smell. I have two (small) eleven month olds and tried the size 3

  1. yes happy to use again, good quality
  2. protects well against wee leaks but not always poo. There was also a chemical smell once the nappy was wet ( but we often use reusables so perhaps that's just a general difference with disposables)
  3. i think they are good value for money for the night when you need more absorbency but I wouldn't use them during the day unless I had run out of alternatives, as I like to change a nappy as soon as it is wet so even if the nappy would hold several wees i wouldn't keep it on the baby for hours anyway unless they were asleep
  4. yes i would and have recommended the product as vfm overnight and as a good quality product.
ropealope · 11/06/2013 16:31

I tested the size 4+ on my 23 month old

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
They are nice and light/thin but kept my daughter dry for 12 hours.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Very absorbent, we usually use pampers active but these are better for night-time as they're absorbent but not so thick/heavy.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They are one of the expensive brands but it is worth the extra cost, for the dryness.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would, they are absorbent and light/thin so more comfortable for my children.

northerngoldilocks · 11/06/2013 16:36

I tested size 3 nappies on my 12 wk old DD

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I was really impressed with these nappies. They were absorbent, didn't smell too chemically (which had been an issue with some pampers nappies i've used in the past), were soft and absorbent.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

The baby dry nappies were very good on both counts re wetness (although to be fair this hasn't been a problem with other brands). They were very good at containing poos (even after 5 days of no poo) so was very impressed with this.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think that pampers are very expensive nappies. I understand that pampers claims that the baby dry ones are economical as they are so absorbent, but i still don't believe that leaving your child in a wet nappy (regardless of whether the wetness is held away from their skin is a great idea as its still a perfect breeding ground for bacteria etc) and therefore I probably don't leave as long as I could between changes.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Based on my experience I would be happy to recommend these nappies

Other points:

I think that pampers is currently a bit confusing given the different brands available - eg in size 3 you can get new baby, baby dry, simply dry (and possibly active fit). Whilst I'm fairly clear on the active fit diffferences, its less clear between the others. I know that the simply dry are cheaper and therefore maybe intended as an 'economy' product, but are they therefore 'less good' than the others. I also found baby dry better for my 12 week old EBF baby than the new baby variety so don't find the different classification particularly helpful.

joobob · 11/06/2013 16:40

Q1 I really like pampers and trust them to keep my 15 month old twins happy and playing during the day/sleeping at night.
Q2 I use them all the time, day and night and I see them as value for money as neither of my twins has had nappy rash once.
Q3 I usually buy them online in bulk to get a good deal
Q4I do recommend them to my friends!

Brownsauce83 · 11/06/2013 17:04

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Very good, nice and soft, not too bulky.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
No leaks at all compared to Huggies.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Yes but would only nuy when on speciall offer as just too expensive to pay full price.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes - trusted product and brand. In my opinion better than supermarket own brands which can often be a false economy.

curbyourenthusiasm · 11/06/2013 17:33

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really enjoyed using these nappies. They are slimmer compared to other brands I have used . They were pretty in colour and I like the cute animal designs on them - made them more attractive than other nappies. They are very light which was a bonus when taking them on holiday.
I would use them again but would usually only buy on special offer as I feel it is a bit more expensive compared to other brands.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I felt they were very absorbent and noticed that there were less leakages during the night. However this doesn't prevent all leakages for example when sitting in a car seat or bouncer.I am currently using Asdas little angels brand and feel that there have been very few leakages from these ones since I have started using them .

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I feel they are reasonably good value for money but do feel they are a little on the expensive side and consider them a luxury. Hence when I do buy them , I try my best to to find offers in bulk.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would as feel they are quite good value for money, readily available, and absorbency is good.
