My baby boy is 7 months old and we use size 4 in Pampers Baby Dry

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I love them, we always use then and will continue to do so.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Very reliable, rarely leak (other than recently when baby had bad diarrhoea, bless him) and never gets a sore bottom.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

they are value because they do the job required of them, they are a little more expensive but buy them on offer, works for me :)

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely recommend them as very reliable and soft on baby .

Laurapenman · 10/06/2013 19:43

I found them good for bedtime not so much for during the day maybe a bit too stiff/bulky. Would use them again for bedtime.

In terms of dryness I had no issues kept my 7month old dry all night for the 12 hours as advertised.

They are expensive however I would probably pay the money for bedtime in order to keep my baby dry throughout the whole night with no accidents.

I would recommend them to other mums but would also recommend to shop around for when they are on offer.

pennlkh · 10/06/2013 19:45

I was testing the pampers baby dry on my 6 month old baby boy in size 4.
Q1:
I was pleasantly at how dry they were especially after a full night sleep. My baby skin was completely dry. The nappy itself also did not bulge too big and did not feel as heavy as other nappies after a full night sleep.
Q2:
I normally use Pampers simply dry range and in comparison, the baby dry was drier. With the simply dry nappies, I didn't have much leakage but the main difference is how the baby dry stays relatively small when full compared to the simply dry. With simply dry nappy really weighs a lot when full but the baby dry nappy felt a lot lighter and I imagine a lot more comfortable.
Q3:
They are on the pricey end of the nappy range but they do a great job. I am thinking whether to buy them to use overnight as it keeps my baby's skin nice and dry.
Q4:
I would recommend them as they do work. They are thin, light and not had any leakage since using them.

Personally I would probably wait for them to be on offer to buy them as you can get the simply dry for £3 cheaper at full price and if on offer, they are half the price.

LizTerrine · 10/06/2013 19:46

I tried size three on my now 14-week old, and I much preferred it to the pampers new baby size three (which I was using before) because it feels much more absorbent. DS2 no longer poos at night most of the time and so a nappy that goes a full 12 hours is invaluable!

dozily · 10/06/2013 20:02

Q1. Overall impression
These are great nappies - slim, soft, stretchy and absorbent . Can't fault them!

Q2. Dryness
To be honest I don't have a problem with wee leaking from any brand of nappy, so Pampers were just as good.

Q3. Cost
If you buy the huge boxes of.Pampers from Asda they work out surprisingly cheap - less even than own brand I think. So excellent value.

Q4. Recommend
Yes I would definitely recommend them.

Ktcass · 10/06/2013 20:03

I tested the size 4 nappies on my 9 month old, I was not overly impressed with them

They get heavy with wee very quickly and did leak in the night.

They are expensive compared to other brands.

Would not recommend the baby dry, I regularly use the active fit which are much better keep baby dryer longer

ellesbell · 10/06/2013 20:05

My baby is 11 months old and currently wears a size 4

The Baby-Dry nappies were excellent and I would definitely use them again

They were unbeatable in terms of leakage protection and dryness. No accidents to report

They are expensive in comparison to other brands but I don't mind paying a bit more for quality

I would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents because they keep my baby dry and prevent night time waking

I was picked by MNHQ to review this product, which I received for free. This review is in my own words and reflects my true opinion

sarhumph1 · 10/06/2013 20:06

I used size 4 on my 22 month old

1.I would use them again. They offered longer protection than other nappies. No soreness or redness afterwards.

  1. My lb stayed dry for 6/7 hours (and he drinks a lot) and no leakage:)
  1. I do think they're value for money, I'd certainly pay for them in future. I'd pay whatever the asking price to keep my son dry and comfortable.
  1. I'd definitely recommended these to friends and family, value for money & piece of mind.
PenelopeChipShop · 10/06/2013 20:08

My son is 11 months and I tested size 4.

Q1: They are impressive in terms of dryness - I always buy them now for night-time as they're a lot better than 'day' nappies, ie normal ones. Might sound daft but as a first-time mum it took me a while to discover that 'night' nappies existed and they do do the job! I do use them regularly now, yes. Simply because 9 times out of 10 there is no leakage in the morning whereas with a normal one you'd probably wake up to a wet baby at least half the time. I do have to say though that they have a rather 'chemical' smell that I don't love.

Q2: Much more effective and absorbent. They only leak when DS has had a particularly milk-heavy night!!

Q3: Yes, I'm happy with the price as the quality is there.

Q4: Yes I would, they are the most effective solution I've found in terms of a nappy that lasts all night so I'd share that if someone didn't know! It is nice not to have to change a nappy at night if you can get away with it.

Eskarina · 10/06/2013 20:22

I have tested size 4 on my dd who is 21 months and 27lb.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They have been OK. I normally use cloth nappies in the daytime and disposables at night. I can't say that I have noticed that these are any better than the Lidl own brand nappy that I normally buy

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Very similar to a much cheaper own brand.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

No, they are twice the price of the brand I normally buy, which I have no problems with and which the pampers seem to have had no advantage over.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
If someone wanted to use them then I wouldn't say they were a bad nappy. Some people are more brand conscious than others. These nappies wouldn't make a bad choice, they are reliable but expensive.

mcil86 · 10/06/2013 20:37

My Daughter was 4 months and we tried the size 3

I found the pampers dry to be good after a few cheaper brands had irritated her skin, they helped her get a good nights sleep, they seem more comfortable with less leakages. My only dislike would be they tend to give off a stronger smell than other brands when 'wet'. Furthermore I would recommend pampers dry only if the price was lower, if my daughter hadn't got such sensitive skin I would continue using the supermarket brands as they are as good a quality, give off less of a smell and work out at approx 3pence per nappy compared to 18pence for pampers dry.

ImGoingToCountToThree · 10/06/2013 20:38

I tested size 3 on my 4 month old daughter.

My overall impression is that they are really good and we were impressed. My daughter regularly sleeps more than 10 hours, the nappies never leaked and felt dry to touch even after the 10 hours. Its nice to know that while she sleeps I don't have to disturb her to change her nappy. Yes will definitely use them again, in fact have just ordered a gigapack.

I have only used one other brand before and then swapped to pampers simply dry as we were getting leakages daily. These were ok but the baby dry nappies are softer to the touch and on a new baby it's nice to have a really soft nappy.

Yes I think they are good value for money as the quality of the nappy is there.

Yes I would recommend them to another parent if it came up in conversation.

chrusty · 10/06/2013 20:41

We have tried many different brands and had various issues (bad fitting, leakages etc) which we didn't realise was a problem until we tried Pampers. The fit is great, and we don't get any leakages. AND most importantly she has started sleeping through the night, which we are convinced is due to Pampers 'baby-dry' feature. Have already reccomended to many friends. Great product

Bryzoan · 10/06/2013 20:43

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I've been using Pampers baby dry on my 6 month old son, and also my 2 year old daughter.

Even leaving the nappies on overnight, they rarely leak. The exceptions to this are DS's poonamis - which used to travel up his back still (less so now we are weaning), and also occasionally a wet patch at the front top of DS nappy. DD, for some reason, is more likely to leak around the legs (she is much skinier for her size than DS so this may be a factor).

Both kids seem very comfortable in them - and neither have had any nappy rash.

Overall I'm very pleased with them though - and would not pick a different brand.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Much, much better. The only other brand I have used is an organic one from waitrose which cost a bomb, yet they fell apart and leaked. I couldn't believe how bad they were.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are reasonable value. I've heard good reports on Tesco and Aldi nappies also which are much cheaper - but somehow I don't trust them as much with my kids as I do the Pampers brand.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes - and I do regularly when asked. My daughter was in a hip spica cast last year which couldn't get wet and I used Pampers successfully then - and recommended them to other parents who were struggling to keep their kids' cast dry. Most said they noticed an improvement.

MrsAnnaJ1981 · 10/06/2013 20:47

7 1/2 mth old size 4

Q1 Very good. Kept dry overnight for 12+ hours. Soft and comfortable. Would definitely use again at night.

Q2 The best I have tried. Dry all night and no leaking.

Q3 More expensive than other brands. I would perhaps save them for night use when my daughter is in her nappy for longest. During the day I would use cheaper brands as she is changed more regularly anyway so less likely to leak.

Q4 Yes I would recommend.

Tiggsy24 · 10/06/2013 20:54

Having tested size 4 pampers dry nappies, I feel they compared very well to other branded nappies that I use/have used in the past. They kept my little one dry over night. I did not use these during the day as I use active nappies/super fit as my little one is very active.

I would recommend pampers baby dry nappies to others, but for me I would probably still use other branded nappies that are cheaper.

quest12 · 10/06/2013 20:57

2 month old baby size 2.

Q1. Loved the design no leaks maximum time worn 6 hours.

Q2. I fin most other nappies leak when full but these even when they felt heavy still did not leak.

Q3. Very good value you may be able to buy cheaper but in doing so you lose quality.

Q4. I would recommend them to friends and family as a good day nappy and because of the no leakage an EXCELLENT night nappy.

Thank you for the sample will definitely be sticking with them xxxx

kate4377 · 10/06/2013 20:59

I tested the size 3 Pampers Dry Nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

These were extremely absorbent nappies that keep my LO dry for at least 12 hours at night.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

i have only used Huggies in the past and these kept him alot drier at night.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think these are really good value and there seems to be a number of supermarkets with offers on.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend these nappies to a friend

zeny123 · 10/06/2013 21:00

I tried size 3 on my 4 month old boy and loved the fit. There was no leakage. Ive always used pampers with my 2 daughters but had heard huggies to be better with boys in terms of fit and leakage but have found that not to be true. And will buy them again.

I think the costs are good value but do think the carry pack is slightly expensive and wold opt to buy the economy pack or wait for an offer.

pampers was recommended to me when i had my 1st child. Now 3rd child round im still using them and would recommend to a friend.

puzzletree · 10/06/2013 21:26

Used size 4 with 10 month old

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
They were absorbant and thin, they fit well and my baby seemed comfortable in them. I would use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
They didn't leak and kept my baby dry. They compared favourably with other nappies in this respect, I wouldn't say they were necessarily better than others.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I think they are more expensive than other nappies. The main difference I found compared to other nappies we use is that these are thinner. This isn't particularly important for us so I would only purchase these nappies if they were on special offer.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend these nappies as ones to try if their baby was leaking in other nappies or if they were looking for very thin but still absorbant nappies.

joshop · 10/06/2013 21:35

Trying size 4 for second son, now aged 20 months. Overall impressed with the nappies. Have actually bought another pack since started testing. We use them at night and use cheaper supermarket nappies during the day.

Previously used active fit because baby dry used to leak when using as older son's night time nappy. So far, no leaks with son 2. He even did a poo last night and we didn't notice straight away and no problems there.

I would recommend them, as they are cheaper than active fit and seem now to serve their purpose just as well. The only thing is that I'm not convinced that any of the branded nappies are actually any better than the Mamia (Aldi), or the Little Angels (Asda) that we usually have for daytime use.

I suppose it really depends on your child. Mine never got on with Huggies but some people think they're better than Pampers.

kendraingram · 10/06/2013 21:40

We were trying size 3
They were good in respect of keeping the baby dry in the night, she did not fuss at all in the morning wanting to be changed. BUT, we found them terrible for keeping poo's in, we had a lot of major leaks we didn't have before.
I have no problem with the price, my husband works near an Asda and always buys the large boxes during the baby event.
I would recommend them for wet use during the night, but not when my baby has an upset tummy and not in the day when poo's are likely - I find Pampers active fit much better.
My husband would like the wet indicator on all nappies - he likes this feature as has never got the hang of telling wet from dry.

Sboucher89 · 10/06/2013 22:14

I tried size 4 for my 6month old daughter.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I loved that they were thin and light, my daughter sleeps 12 hours i popped her baby dry in before her bedtime bottle and by morning she had no leaks, I would use again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Brilliant compared to the one other brand I've tried which I use to find you could smell the wee in the morning and occasionally leaked and my daughter would wake up wet, with pampers there is no smell and I haven't had a leak yet.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Yes I always buy when on offer in baby events and now my daughter has hit size 4 they last till she is 40lbs so if I bulk buy they will last.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I was recommend pampers by my mum and I've never tried a cheaper brand only once and I was let down by them, I pay for the quality and they are good value.

Wylye · 10/06/2013 22:24

My 2yo DS tested the Size 4.

Q1 - Yes I'd use them again and am! They're reliable and comfortable for DS and widely available. (We use Baby-Dry at night only, Active Fit for day).
He only leaks if he poos first thing into his full-of-wee night nappy. He very rarely leaks wee, only if he's been pulling the nappy down so it's not on right.
I much prefer the new pics on them, much better than the character pics previously. DS will often have a good look at the nappy before it goes on, telling me what the animals or shapes are.

Q2 - they're the brand we've used since newborn, have always found alternatives disappointing.

Q3 - value is fine for me as its weighed up against the inconvenience of leaks and nappy rash with other types. They aren't cheap by any standard tho.

Q4 - Yes I'd recommend them, for the reliability.

Gentleness · 10/06/2013 22:26

Mine never arrived. :(
