That only helps if the language on the packaging is one you speak Indith. I got a French one.

Indith · 21/12/2012 22:17

Well yes, MEthod have rather shot themselves in the foot for feedback about packaging. I too got French but since I'm bilingual I didn't actually notice for a while Grin.

HQ did send out an e-mail explaining that Method messed up and providing a translation of the basics but I got the impression during this thread that a lot of people had not seen it so perhaps a PM on here would have been better.

BlatherskitedaboutChristmas · 21/12/2012 22:20

I saw the translation but it was only for the washing instructions as far as I remember. Nothing about lining up red marks.

Indith · 21/12/2012 22:30

Ah. Well if you look on the bottom of your bottle you will see a little red bit, if you line the spout up with that red bit then it will squirt perfectly for you.

Even as a French speaker though I didn't really look at that right away, it is very small on the packaging and easy to miss because most of us don't sit and read everything on the bottle so Method may want to reconsider that.

BlatherskitedaboutChristmas · 21/12/2012 22:33

I will give it a try tomorrow. The bottle has been relegated to the back of the cupboard while I went back to my usual brand because it was annoying me so much so you may just have saved it from the bin.

BlatherskitedaboutChristmas · 21/12/2012 22:34

Thank you

Haberdashery · 22/12/2012 21:56

I speak excellent French and didn't notice the bit about lining up the red bit. TBH, I doubt I would have noticed it in English unless it was way more prominent as I only really tend to read the part where it says how much to use.

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 23/12/2012 19:07

Still not received this elusive 'sorry for sending you the bottle with instructions in french' gift.... I'm only getting impatient because I was told I would be receiving something... Xmas Hmm

Sleepyfergus · 23/12/2012 19:42

Yeah Suzy, where are our goodies?!

Actually, quite miffed. I joined Method online ages ago and used to get sent lots of nice wee bits every now and again. I recommended my mum and mil through some deal, and we all got stuff. Including a xmas limited edition washing up liquid that smelt of sugared candy cane. Twas yummy.

Roll on this year and my mum has received a limited edition xmas washing up liquid, this time smelling of humbugs. I was there when it was delivered by courier.

But I haven't got one. And I introduced her!

I'm in a huff. Method, I hope you are reading this!!!

BlatherskitedaboutChristmas · 23/12/2012 20:06

We're supposed to be getting a "sorry you got French Method" gift!?!

First I've heard of it!

Sleepyfergus · 23/12/2012 22:28

Yeah, we got sent an email about it, excerpt below,

"If you've received yours already, you'll notice that the usage instructions are in French! Method asked me to pass on their apologies for this mix up - they will be sending you a little something in the post to say sorry!"

Prob all caught up in the Xmas post....Wink

Elfontheshelfiswatchingyou · 23/12/2012 22:52

I got that email too, I assumed it was a Christmas related delay, but maybe they forgot. :)

McPheastOfStephen · 23/12/2012 23:10

I've been wondering where my extra christmas goodie was for weeks...

MNHQ..........can you shed some light on this?

maxybrown · 24/12/2012 00:02

Oh so glad someone else mentioned the extra goody we were supposed to be getting Grin

I haven't had any problems with my bottle not pumping and nearly all gone now - not even noticed the red bit, may have to investigate again!

Sleepyfergus · 24/12/2012 07:59

Method, I take it back....sincere apologies. I got my Xmas 'Sugared Mint' washing up liquid this morning.

McPheastOfStephen · 24/12/2012 10:15

Ooooh how did it arrive pray tell??

Our postie has already been Shock

Sleepyfergus · 24/12/2012 10:36

Chap at the door, v early, about 7.30am. I'm wondering though if this is our wee pressie or because I've signed up to Method in the past (as I got the same item last year...) and get random freebies throughout the year.

Sign up to their 'protest against dirty'...that's all I did! Smile

Sleepyfergus · 24/12/2012 10:37

Sorry, should have said, it defo wasn't our postie...

RandallPinkFloyd · 24/12/2012 11:01

Ooh I got a parcel delivered at exactly 7:30 too!

I haven't opened it because I thought it was a last minute present I ordered last week.

DS is asleep on me at the moment but I shall report back when I open it.

aristocat · 24/12/2012 15:50

I haven't had the 'extra gift' either ..... perhaps we will get it in the New Year, were everyone's instructions in French then?

BlatherskitedaboutChristmas · 24/12/2012 16:47

Nothing here either.

UmmNoor · 24/12/2012 22:12

Q1What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Loved the small compact bottle, doesn't take up much room. Also liked the fact that it squirted cleanly into the dispenser so no liquid running down the bottlelike usual and left no residue.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
More fragrance
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
cleaning power was no good at 30 degrees as some clothes still had stains so needed to be rewashed at 40 degrees. I like my clothes to be more fragranced. Some other laundry detergents are more fragranced and I am too tight to use fabric softener!
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
I wouldn't recommend as I had to do a few rewashes, clothes didn't smell fresh plus its too expensive

HarlettHoHoHoScara · 24/12/2012 23:04

Just want to add...after initially posting that I wasn't that impressed with the scent of the Method liquid, I've just got into bed having changed the sheets today to ones washed in Method and they smell all fresh and lovely. So I take back my original comments about the scent.

Biggem · 25/12/2012 02:21

Getting towards the end of the bottle (?) now and it's a flipping nightmare to dispense into the draw...
Splurts and splutters everywhere making it hard to dose right and is generally VERY annoying.
Confused
Only downside so far though

EmpressOfTheNorthPole · 25/12/2012 15:51

Biggem, have you aligned the pump with the pink dot on the bottom? It makes it easier.
