Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? bigger bottle maybe and the price

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? pleasant subtle fragrance and cleaning power as good as my current wash tablets

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Yes for the compact size, ease of use and enviromental credentials but would also mention that its pricey

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Really tidy and compact, good quality packaging that would be perfect for a refill. Great product from the storage point of view and would be ideal for taking on holidays etc. The pump is an excellent and tidy idea, none lost in the cap and down the side of the bottle.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Only the price, it is a little dear.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
The fragrance was absolutely fine, laundry smelt fresh and clean without being overpowering. Cleaning was as good as you would expect from any non bio - it didnt manage the toughest of stains - but for general wear and use it was absolutely fine for getting things clean. I used it on a variety of different wash cycles and found the results similar accross the board.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
If it came up in conversation I would recommend it as an effective eco friendly non bio. I would certainly say that the fragrance was spot on, and that the cleaning power is perfectly acceptable for the type of product. I would say the packaging is an excellent point - being that it is compact, tidy and re-fillable.

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? - I like the small bottle, and the pump dispenser. Much easier to know you have the right amount than filling a cap and it doesn't spill down the side of the bottle like some do. Fits nicely in my small cupboard above the washing machine.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? - It is a bit more expensive than I would expect.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? - I love the fragrance. Very subtle which is definitely a plus for me....I much prefer freshly washed clothes to smell clean than have a strong chemical smell. For general use I found the cleaning fine. It coped okay with some of the food splattered down clothing by my 8 month old. It suggested in the instructions that you could put some directly on a stain to remove it. I gave it the challenging workout against a vest that had been part of a poo-up-the-back incident (that'll be the 8 month old again). It didn't get the stain out. I wouldn't see that as a reason not to buy it...my normal brand of washing liquid wouldn't have got it out either, and that is the reason I buy Ariel stain remover spray, which is the only thing I have found that does.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? - I think it cleans considerably better than Ecover, which is the environmentally-friendly washing liquid/powder that most people know about. It also smells a million times better. So if someone were interested in an eco-friendly product I would definitely recommend. Would also recommend for the small bottle....would be perfect to take on holiday for instance. The subtle smell is another big plus point.

3rdnparty · 18/12/2012 19:37

Having used it a bit more - much better at whites than prevoius eco liquids and seems less wasteful - bottle design works for me but then I can keep it out of reach of the kids- and just leave it open..

Idlegirl83 · 18/12/2012 19:40

I've been using it regularly and am impressed with how much is in the bottle but was just wondering if anyone else is sensitive to it? I wouldn't say I have particularly sensitive skin but I have had to stop using it as I have come out in eczema type rash on my arms and legs - am I alone?!

SomethingAboutNothing · 18/12/2012 19:53

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
The bottle is nice and compact, and I like the pump action whIch is easy to use and mess free.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
The fragrance isn't particularly to my liking.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
The fragrance isnt to my liking, I prefer something more floral but it is inoffensive and wouldn't put me off purchasing the product in future. The cleaning power seemed better than the product I usually use. It didn't completely remove explosive poo stains from my babies clothes
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Yes, overall I was impressed with the product and would recommend it, mentioning the compact packaging and that the product is environmentally friendly.

buddasmum · 18/12/2012 20:44

OMG, it is a small bottle, which packs a punch.
I love it so much and makes the clothes smell lovely.
Will be buying this all the time now, as just so perfect and great.

DazR · 18/12/2012 21:06

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? Really impressed by size and packaging.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? Price?
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? Fragrance was subtle but good. Cleaning power was comparable with current store's own wash powder.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Yes - if price was comparable to current product. I would say it was a eco friendly non-bio with really compact bottle - takes less storage - ideal for holidays and clean to use.

SammiesMum · 18/12/2012 21:53

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I really liked it. It's so neat and easy to store.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Make packaging more recyclable
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I liked the smell of the washing when it was done. Not too overpowering and dirty bibs came out pretty clean.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
I would recommend it. I'd say it did a great job and was a great size. The only downside is that my eczema seems to have got a lot worse since I started using it.

creambun · 18/12/2012 22:07

Thanks for letting use try the Laundry Liquid. Here are my answers:

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I thought it looked really great and was very eye-catching. I loved the little bottle and it was so easy to use. Also, the small bottle made it very easy to store out of the way. The pump is brilliant. No mess, easy to use the right amount and because the bottle is small it's easy to hold in your hand.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Although I liked the small, neat bottle, it would be good to be able to buy bigger, better value packs. Although I did see a large refill pack in Waitrose - I didn't check the price but if this was better value than buying the bottles I would definitely buy that instead.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
The fragrance was good. Not too over-powering and very natural. I do prefer a slightly stronger fragrance so I think I would try one of the other varieties next time.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Yes, definitely. I love the fact that it's environmentally friendly and kind to the skin. It's very gentle and I have not had to use any fabric softener with it - it leaves all our clothes really soft and clean. I also have sensitive skin and a lot of detergents make my skin itch. This was great and didn't irritate my skin at all so I would definitely recommend it to friends with sensitive skin.

creambun · 18/12/2012 22:09

Sorry, should be thanks for letting 'us' try the liquid!

Ivytheterrible · 18/12/2012 22:17

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Really liked the pump. Very neat and tidy, no mess.
Q2 No-really liked the product. The price would put me off buying it regularly but if I saw it with a good offer I would buy it.
Q3 Nice fragrance about the right strength for me. Surprised how good cleaning power was and i tried it on toddler clothes, gym and hockey kits as well as general washing. Everything came up clean.
Q4 Yes I'd say to try a new easy to dispense eco washing liquid. i would mention the price as it is probably more than most people would spend.

Steady · 18/12/2012 22:39

Like the bottle size and pump generally works well, though it is getting trickier now the level is getting lower in the bottle when putting into the drawer. Smells nice, much less messy to use than regular liquids and has done a good job on normal cleaning, not tried yet on very dirty school tops. I think the factor that may put me off using again would be the price, but I think there will be less waste as I tend to guess how much to put in the drawer normally as I hate sticky caps! No skin reactions either from the sensitive members of the family

Pickledpiggy · 18/12/2012 23:03

Q1. Love the funky design and handy small bottle. Pump is great means less waste and know exactly how much to use.
Q2. The price is a bit high for my liking.
Q3. I like the fragrance it's not too overpowering. Cleaned well and coped with the boys mucky clothes although I did put in a few extra squirts for some of the worst loads.
Q3. I have actually shown it to a couple of people just because the design is so handy and others have noticed it and asked about it.

merliquin · 18/12/2012 23:12

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I really like the pump dispenser - quick, easy and no drips - and the compact size.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
I didn't really like the fragrance when used without my usual softener; would have liked a larger version (eg 50 washes) especially as I have hard water so needed a couple of extra pumps per wash; price is more than I would want to pay.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
Fragrance wasn't 'fresh' enough for me; cleaning was ok - good on fresh dirt but not so good once soiling had dried into clothes.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
I'd say the pump is brilliant - I wish the cleaning power was better and that it was sometimes on special offer as is quite expensive.

dilbertina · 19/12/2012 04:29

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? Fine. Understated rather than eye-catching...

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? I like the refill idea and would probably like to buy bigger size. Google reveals you already do a 85 wash refill pack for £13 ish and I may well go for that!

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? I liked the fragrance but did notice that you had to be pretty quick getting washing out of machine, if left for a couple of hours smelt stale quickly. Overall I liked the not too perfumey approach. Cleaning power was good. I normally use capsule thingys so squirted straight on clothes in drum, aiming at any particularly grubby bits which seemed to work.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Yes would happily recommend, I would say I liked the product and it worked well.

bartonian · 19/12/2012 07:02

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I like how small and compact it is, and how easy to use the pump is. Design slightly busier than other method products but ok.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Would need larger size I think (3 kids = lots of washing!) and I am tight and only buy washng powder on offer so would worry about price.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I liked the fragrance - not too strong but still there. Cleaning power seemed fine, no better or worse than usual washing powder.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
I would recommend it, would say it smells nice, performs well, is eco friendly and very compact. Also many washing products irritate my excema but this one didn't, so that is an extra plus point.

ClutchingPearls · 19/12/2012 08:38

First impression, good, nice and compact. Packaging looked sturdy.

I would of liked an clear indicator strip on the side of the bottle to see how much is left. Larger bottle just to suppress my feeling of 'ooh not much left must get some more' when there's actually 10 loads left.

Ok for general cleaning didn't really do the stains. Smell wasnt enough for me. I like to be hit by the smell of 'I'm clean' and it to last. This was too sutle and didn't last. Maybe a different fragrance would.

I would recommend if for people with not much space or for traveling etc.

flurp · 19/12/2012 08:56

Can I just add that having got to the end of the bottle it is very hard to get the last bit out once it has got to the end.
I have had to resort to unscrewing it and tipping it into the drawer and there was actually quite a lot left when it seemed empty.
I agree there should be a clear window so that one can see when it is running out!!

ABikeWithBellsOn · 19/12/2012 10:58

Would like to change my review slightly (previously posted as MTBMummy)

We used the last of it to do a couple of washes of DD's clothes and she has come out in the most horrible rash - her skin has gone very dry and is red and she says sore and itchy, DD has never had skin problems before and we've not changed anything else - so we're having to re wash all DD's clothes (because I can't recall what of hers was washed with method) and having to apply creams to her skin - I'm going to go from being fairly happy with it - to really unhappy.

snoozed · 19/12/2012 11:11

1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

Great design, ensuring less wastage of liquid than standard washing liquid bottles. Very mild and good for sensitive skin. No residue left in machine. Impressive cleaning power for such a small amount of product per wash.
Gentle - good for washing delicates without damaging the fibres.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

The price, as other eco brands are available at a cheaper price.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

Love the fragrance! Smells great. People keep asking me what washing powder I use! Not overpowering at all, very fresh.

Cleaning power was impressive - was dubious that such a small amount of liquid would actually be effective - but it did a great job on food covered bibs and baby clothes.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

I would recommend it - would mention that it is eco friendly, mild, good cleaning power and good for sensitive skin, as well as the lovely fragrance.
However, I woud have to mention that it is quite pricey when compared with other makes.

Oh dear! DSs eczema has recently flared up again. Like an idiot I didn't realise but it could well have been this washing liquid!

(Previously hoobygalooby - name changed to review but can't be bothered to keep changing back now Smile)

becausewecan · 19/12/2012 13:16

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I absolutely loved the pump, compact, no measuring, no mess, quick and easy to dispense and no drips. So easy to put a wash on even when in a rush.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Perhaps the price although using the pump method I am probably getting better value than with my normal liquid. Its so easy to add the correct amount of liquid compared to measuring when I always add a little extra!

No, Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I liked the fragrance, I didn't find it particularly strong like some other users. It was clean and fresh smelling and not overly perfumed. I was impressed with the cleaning power of such a small amount of liquid. It cleaned really well, even my toddlers messy clothes. My clothes felt softer even though I was using the same conditioner I normally use.
Appears to be ok for delicates too as I washed a wool jumper by accident and it came out perfectly fine and supersoft.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend it. The pump method is brilliant and alongside the eco friendly credentials it has won me over.
