Q1. Loved the design, nice and small.

Q2. I'd change the price!! having recently converted to aldi washing powder which is a third of the price, I couldn't justify buying it at full price (although I'd buy it whenever it was on offer if it was on par with persil for example)

Q3. Fragrance was lovely, I will comment more when I've used it a few times, as washing fragrance is always more noticeable the first few times you use it. Coped well on a quick 30 degree wash, with my husbands stinky shirts. (better than other brands).

Q4. Yes I'd recommend method for it's cleaning performance.

Oh god, the fragrance is horrible. I will add proper feedback later but this smell is everything I dislike about detergent/softener smells and compares very unfavourably to Ecover which is what I normally use.

Mine arrived today...

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? I really liked it. I liked that it is environmentally friendly. Love the pump bottle as you end up only using exactly what you need and there's no wastage. It did the job of cleaning a load of quite dirty clothes really well.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? The instructions on the pump were in French. I don't know if this was just for the tester packs?
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? The fragrance was good, the clothes just smelt clean rather than highly perfumed. I tested it on a fairly dirty load including some of my toddler's soiled clothes and it got them really clean.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? I would recommend it, I'd say it was good for the environment, effective and the bottle is very cute!

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? Seemed very small but at least it doesn't take up room like my box of capsules does.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? The smell.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? I didn't like the fragrance. Haven't inspected the clothes yet as washed them but been ill.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Might mention to my MIL I have tried a new detergent and it is really quick and easy to use, but other than that I probably won't talk about it with anyone. Not a topic I discuss with the mums at school!

Liked the bottle, short of space in kitchen! Didn't mind the smell. Washing is currently drying so will comment more once dried, ironed and worn!

Marking my place.

Done one load so far. I used 7squirts in my 11kg machine and I was impressed that it got tomato sauce completely out of the table cloth. I'll leave more feed back when I've done more loads, including Rugby kit!

I got an email from Helen, I assume we all did but maybe didn't check it so here it is for people who are about to use it:

Hi all,

Most of you should have received your samples by now. If you haven't yet, don't panic! It should be with you by Monday.

If you've received yours already, you'll notice that the usage instructions are in French! Method asked me to pass on their apologies for this mix up - they will be sending you a little something in the post to say sorry! I've copied the English translation below so please use this when you're trying the product out!

I'll be in touch again soon with the feedback thread link.

Thanks
Helen

All set to try it out tomorrow - are people squirting it in the drawer or the drum? If in the drawer does it go where the powder would go?

Report
paneer · 30/11/2012 19:36

yes, goes where you would put your usual detergent

You know, I'm particularly shocked by the smell because most other Method things smell lovely. I use the wood polish when I don't really need to just because it smells so gorgeous.

First wash complete! So far....

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Love the compactness and little packaging. (Not impressed they sent out French labels). Like the pump part.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
At the moment not.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
Love the smell, not overpowering or flowerly. Subtle and clean-linen-smelling.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
At the moment yes... I washed sheets and DD's school shirts and they smelt and looked clean. Smells nice and subtle. Packing brilliant. Very easy to dispense and clean. Small bottle as well. (Maybe when I finish we can use the bottle for something else?)

Q1) I loved the bottle, the pump means no waste. Great size.
Q2) Sorry but a bit more cleaning power.
Q3) I loved the smell, didn,t. find it overpowering. My first wash was kids clothes, mud and chocolate (bad stains, i know).I would usually pre treat, i didn,t and stains were still there. I think in "normal" stains it would be fine.
Q4) I wouldn,t recommend just because i didn,t find it hit the spot with stains.I will use it to do my underwear, i love the smell.

Arrived today and first wash seems to have come out very well. I tried it on my usual Eco wash on my Samsung washing machine. I'll carry on testing it at different temperatures and on dirtier clothes and write a full review in a few days' time. So far my only criticism is the bottle could be a hazard to toddlers because it doesn't have a child cap on it.
