TeamBippo has had a few problems trying to post her feedback, so here it is:

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?
Easy to rub in and felt quite smooth (although DP said he found it sticky). I think I might have used too much of it because when it was time to change the nappy again it was often still in a quite thick layer of cream on DS's bum, with bits clumped together as well.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?
Before bed and one or two other times during the day. Not every nappy change because I forgot.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?
It seems to work well, I found that DS's bum had less red bits on it (from where his pants crease) as well.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?
I usually use Sudacrem, and found Metanium easier to apply and easier to wipe off things it shouldn't be on. I also like how it is in a tube rather than a tub.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
Looks fine.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?
Probably not, but just because i'm not too sure how to pronounce it.

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

It was easy to use. I assume I was using the right amount.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

I use it after almost every nappy change. Sometimes I forgot and soemtimes we were out. I guess we are using it 3 or 4 times a day at the moment.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

It did seem to work. We offered to test it because DD is now 2 but not yet quite ready for potty training so she's still in nappies but with much more grown up poo in them which sometimes leaves her sore. She doesn't seem to be as red since we've been using the cream. I wouldn't say her skin was softer though.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

I have used Sudocrem, Bepanthan and a Tea Tree ointment. I preferred Metanium over Sudocrem as it wasn't as cloying and sticky so wasn't as hard to remove from my skin after application. It's better than the tea tree ointment too as it doesn't have a strong smell. I'd probably still chose Bepanthan over Metanium though.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

I wasn't impressed with that packaging. DD popped a hole in the metal tube within about an hour of us receiving the product so it's been squidging out of the side of the tube whenever I've used it and we've not been able to take it out and about with us for fear of it making a mess over the inside of the bag. I certainly wouldn't buy a tube to take out and about with us. I guess it would be better for those with smaller babies who are as yet uninterested in cream.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

I probably would recommend it if a friend said they were having recurrent problems with nappy rash.

How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

The ointment was very easy to apply and the texture is just right. The product goes on the skin in a nice and even layer. The conisitancy is far better than other barrier creams on the market which tend to be too thick.

How often and when did you use the ointment?

I have used the cream for the past 5 days at every nappy change.

How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

My daughter has been suffering with terrible nappy rash other the past few weeks. I started using the Metanium nappy rash ointment the other week and that did a good job of clearing the rash up. Since i have been applying the barrier ointment the nappy rash hasn't returned.

Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

I have used Sudocrem and other generic supermarket brands of ointment. I find that Sudocrem makes too much of a mess and doesn't really prevent nappy rash. So far Metanium has worked well.

What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

The Metanium packaging is a little bland and as others have said the screw top tube is very fiddly when trying to change a nappy of a crawling baby. I think some sort of flip cap would work better.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

I would recommend Metanium to other parents because so far it has worked very well on my daughter.

Anchorwoman · 02/05/2012 17:54

I found this easy to use and it applied really nicely. I found I didn't need much at all to get a good smooth layer and I liked the non sticky/non oily texture.

I used this with every nappy change but if I'm honest I probably would use it a bit less, so only when the nappy might be on for a longer time (eg at night) or when I might not be able to do a quick change (eg for car journey or out and about). Dd gets changed very regularly otherwise and I find that the best way of preventing rashes.

As she doesn't have a rash at the moment it's difficult to tell if it did anything to prevent one developing. Would probably need to test for longer. I use sudacrem and prefer the way metanium applies, not as clarty!

Packaging is nice, I like the metal tube but do wonder how robust it is. After a half empty tube has been crushed in a nappy bag, will it crack? The screw top needs to be bigger though as this fiddly one is not easy to get on and off while trying to manage a squirmy baby on a changing table.

I would want to test this product for longer to know whether I would recommend it really.

RainQueen · 02/05/2012 18:04

It was easy to apply and I used it every nappy change over a couple of days. I usually use Sudocrem and I prefer Sudocrem to the Metanium. It just seems to work better and has a thicker consistency.

Also, I buy the giant tubs of Sudocrem and I just wouldn't want to keep buying these little tubes. The actual packaging is fine.

siilk · 02/05/2012 18:39

I have used it for the last week. I really like the texture as I hate the texture of most if the others on the Market.
I am not yet completely sure how effective it is but I feel that it is working and we have not had even a hint of redness. A bigger tube would be great as it is on the little side. Overall, I quite like it really.

ShoeJunkie · 02/05/2012 20:54

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?
Easy to use, rubbed in more easily than other barrier creams I've used.
Used the amount suggested on the packaging.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?
Every other nappy change for several days last week.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?
DS's skin wasn't noticably softer, and hasn't suffered from nappy rash even without the ointment so difficult to say if there was any difference.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?
I have used Sudocrem if DS's skin looked red at nappy change time (not regularly). Metanium was easier to rub into the skin and didn't cling to my hands in the same way that Sudocrem has done.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
The packaging looks quite 'medical' the sort of thing you might get from the pharmacy as a prescription. I would suggest that if it is being marketed as an 'everyday' product it should look a little more 'baby friendly'.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?
I would mention it as an alternative to other ointments if they hadn't heard of it but don't feel I would recommend it above other things.

lovebeingmum · 02/05/2012 20:58

How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

V easy to use , however seemed to squeeze out too much and had too much left to use pn a few occassions- think this was because of the thin texture and it came out quickly.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment? four times a day for three days

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not? No nappy rash during this time, skin was same softness

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

Normally use Bepanthen. Missed the fragrance of bepanthen , however , liked the fact the cream was thinner and not as sticky as bepanthen.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
Packging is v plain - not warm and friendly looking

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

Yes = as effective , but woudl need to compare price to bepanthen , whci is my favourite as works also when has a rash so don;t need two products.

thefudgeling · 02/05/2012 21:13

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

Yes, it was easy to use, nice consistency, easy to rub in and found I only needed a small amount.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

Used it every change for a week

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

He tends not to get nappy rash now he's a bit older, but I think it helped calm down any redness.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?
Used sudocrem occasionally. I preferred the metanium for it's consistency as it sank into the skin better, and also I liked that it was unscented. But I think they both work well so a choice would be down to price reallyfor me.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
It's ok. I'm not really bothered about packaging.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

Yes, if I knew the price and it was cheaper than sudocrem.

tinypumpkin · 02/05/2012 21:16

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

It was easy to rub in and I just used the same amount as I would for my usual cream - sudacrem.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

I used it on DD2 (2 1/2 years) and DD3 (7 1/2 months) at every nappy change at home. I used it at home and didn't take it out in the change bag with me.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

I didn't notice any difference at all to be honest. I don't think it was effective at all in terms of preventing nappy rash and redness. My DCs' skin was the same as before.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

I use sudacream when their skin is redish or is rashy. I don't use it at every change though unless it is a bad skin period.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

The packaging was fine but the tube was very small. I don't think it would take long to use it all up and it could prove to be expensive. I would prefer a plastic tube without the harsh rigid edges (child friendly!)

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

I wouldn't as it did not seem effective to me and also I feel it could be expensive to use all the time.

Jcee · 02/05/2012 21:19

How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?
Very easy to use - I liked that it had a thin consistency and rubbed in well. Just used a pea sized amount until DD's bottom was covered

*How often and when did you use the ointment?
Used it every evening after her bath for the nighttime nappy as DDs nappy rash is always worse after wearing a wet nappy all night

How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?
DD had a bout of horrendous nappy rash a month ago and her skin on her bottom hasn't been the same since - red patches of dry skin which is easily inflamed, especially first thing in the morning. I wouldnt say DDs skin feels softer but this does seem to have helped and allowed the skin to start to heal and it does not seem to be getting worse.

Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?
I have used nappy rash cream in response to nappy rash - weleda, yellow metanium, sudocrem but not barrier cream before.

What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
It's very plain and simple and as others have said quite medical looking as though it's a treatment rather than an everyday baby friendly product.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?
Yes I would recommend it to allow nappy rash to heal

NigellaLawless · 02/05/2012 23:00

How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?
Very easy to use, ointment was very smooth and seemed to glide over DS's skin. By far the smoothest ointment I have ever used on him. Also seemed to be thinner, less oily and less messy than other creams

How often and when did you use the ointment?
Used at every nappy change. In the last few days my son has had D&V so lots of nappy changes (approx 13 in 24 hours)

How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?
I have been using this for 5 days, son has had D&V for 4 days. he developed nappy rash this evening, but given how bad his nappies have been I'm impressed that such a thin looking cream has kept the rash at bay for so long

Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?
Sudocrem during the day but Bepanthen at night or when DS has bad nappies (illness/teething). I prefered this to Sudocrem as its less oily, less messy and thinner, however on the changing table its easier to have a pot of Sudocrem to just flip the lid off and dip into rather than having to unscrew a lid and squeeze a tube. Bepanthen is very expensive and very oily but when my son was extremely poorly with D&V some months ago we used bepanthen and he did not get nappy rash, so I would say Bepanthen seems more effective in those circumstances.

What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
As I said above I find a tub easier to use on the changing table as I can use it with one hand where as the tube needs two hands (and often I need the second hand to stop DS hurling himself off the table and onto the floor entertain DS.
that said I find a tube much better for the changing bag.
The lid of the tube is very small, its a bit fiddley when you are juggling all the other aspects of a nappy change and tbh I would worry that it could be a choking hazard should a baby or toddler get hold of it, if it could be made the same size as the lid on normal metanium (full diameter of the tube) it woudl be less fiddley and much less of a hazard.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?
It depends on the price! I would definatley say its better than sudocrem but sudocrem is such good value for money that your price would have to be good to sway me.

eggyblackett · 02/05/2012 23:16

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

  • I found it very easy to use. I like the fact that it is white as opposed to translucent so that you can see very clearly the areas that you have applied it to. No problems with working out how much to use - a small amount seems to go a long way.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

Daily after each nappy change.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

I thought that it was very effective. My poor dcs had a D&V bug at the time of testing, and whilst they normally get nappy rash if they get diarrhea, they didn't whilst using this cream. Fortuitous time for us to be testing! I'm not sure if their skin was softer, but it was certainly clear of any soreness.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

I sometimes use Sudocreme if there's signs of nappy rash starting. However my failsafe nappy rash treatment is the standard Metanium cream, which is brilliant at clearing up nappy rash.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

Rather bland packaging - I don't think that it would leap off the shelf at me. Introducing more colour would help. I do like the metal toothpaste style tube though - far easier for application than the cream being in a tub.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

Yes, absolutely.

Mibby · 03/05/2012 07:52

How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

Smooth texture, not too greasy, a little went a long way. Nice neutral smell

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

Just morning and night

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

Seems the same, no better, no worse

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

sudocrem / bepanthan. Similar to bepanthan

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

Would prefer a tub or a bigger tube. Plastic tube would be better.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Matanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

Possibly. Depends on the price too.

mynameis · 03/05/2012 12:35

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

Easy to use but my found that the tube only needs very minimal squeezing as I wasted quite a lot the first couple of uses. Rubbed in easily and no greasy residue.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

Used every nappy change for two days

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

Unfortunately had to discontinue use as caused a rash to appear

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

Sudocrem but only after dirty nappies not wet.
Much preffered the texture of metanium

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

Maybe a sturdier tube but that could just be my heavy handiness

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

I would recommend it from the feel of the cream and how a little goes a long way but was concerned by my child's skin reaction to it

InsomniaQueen · 03/05/2012 12:45

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

The product was easy to use but didn't rub in as expected. I found that the ointment had a powder like feel once on my babys skin. This was nice for me as I have found products like sudocreme very thick, leaving lots of residue on my hands after I've used it.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

The ointment was used daily during her night time nappy changes as they tend to be on longest.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

The ointment seems to have done the trick, her bottom was sometimes a little red after changing her night time nappies but using the ointment this was much improved. As my little one is only 6 weeks her skin is still very soft anyway so I'm not sure the ointment had any effect on this.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

I've used both sudocreme and bepanthen in the past. I found that Metanium was much better than sudocreme, as said above it was easier to rub in. It was easily as good as bepanthen but I preferred the Metanium as I found this ointment had a less oily finish.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

The packaging was good, nice colours and it gave good basic information about the product.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

I would recommend the product as it was easy to apply and I believe that the product would last quite well. It only needed a very small amount ( I actually used half the recommended amount) and found that this was ample.

Woodlands · 03/05/2012 13:17

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

I only used a small amount, it seemed quite straightforward, and rubbed in well.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?
I used it once and then my DS did a poo and got a really red and sore bum, which was probably unconnected to the ointment, but I decided to wait until his bum had healed up again before trying it again. In the last day or so I have been using it after every nappy change, maybe four times a day.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?
His bum has seemed fine over the last couple of days of using the cream, so I think the rash on Sunday was unconnected. I'm not sure I'd say his skin was softer.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?
I normally use Sudacrem when his bum is sore, but I don't routinely use a barrier cream.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
I agree that a different type of packaging would be better as a small screw-top lid is fiddly. I also agree that the packaging is a bit plain and boring for an everyday, non-medical product.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?
I would say I'd tried it and it was quite nice, but I don't really see the need to use a cream regularly on healthy skin so I wouldn't particularly recommend it.

BabySocksNeverStayOn · 03/05/2012 13:47

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

Very easy to rub on (more so than the 'regular' yellow ointment I usually use.) Easy to workout how much to apply.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

After every nappy change. Wet and dirty nappies. Probably equates to 4-5 times a day.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

Didn't notice any change in DS's skin being softer. Probably prevents nappy rash.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

I usually use sudocreme for everyday use and Metanuim for when DS has bad nappy rash. This ointment was lovely to apply and not quite the 'thick' consistency that sudocreme has. I would say a superior product.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

Bit small and prefer a 'tub' like sudocreme. I like to buy industrial size products so I don't have to end up having to buy them weekly. A 'tub' would be better as trying to squeeze cream from a tube and holding a wriggly child/baby and nappy can be a bit problematic. Having a 'tub' means it can go on the floor and dip my finger in. Those metal tubes also tend to break halfway down so the product leaks out.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

Actually, I probably would recommend as it's a nice 'light' cream as opposed to sudocreme. I always recommend Metanuim (yellow cream) for those with nappy rash as I've found it works best. Indeed, it was originally recommend to me by another parent.

CelticPromise · 03/05/2012 15:34

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

I read the instructions so yes it was easy to work out how much to use! I was surprised by how little was recommended but it went a long way. It was easy to use but I didn't 'rub it in' as such, it's supposed to leave a layer isn't it? Didn't notice any residue as others have mentioned.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

Every change for four days so far, about four times in 24 hours.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

He rarely gets nappy rash (and hasn't this week) and generally has a nice soft bottom which remains soft!

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

I use Sudocrem every change, have used Johnson's, Weleda and Method Baby in the past. I prefer the texture to Sudocrem which I have always found thick and heavy, and I definitely used less Metanium. I don't know about the cost but if it was comparable I would buy Metanium, I like the fact it is for every day and not for nappy rash.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

I prefer a tube to a tub as I use too much with a tub, but not a screw top! Flip top please.

The design is ok, I like the picture of the baby, but as others say it looks a bit like a 'treatment' product and could look a bit gentler and more everyday. I am not too keen on the name.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

Yes I would, if someone was looking for an everyday cream rather than a rash treatment cream.

thethighshaveit · 03/05/2012 18:49

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?
Very easy, directions were clear.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?
Every nappy change since we got it.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?
We have been really impressed with this product. My 1 year old often gets very a very red bottom when teething but this made a big difference. It was also noticeable when it was only applied to a smaller patch on her bottom that where it hadn't been applied was red and sore.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?
I had used sudocrem, metanium normal and bepathen but only to treat the rash. I don't like the thickness of the other creams at every change but Everyday was nice and light so I am happy to use all the time.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
A flip to lid or a larger tub would make application easier with a wriggly baby and not having the tiny lid as a choking hazard would be good but it wouldn't affect whether or not I bought it.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?
I would. My only reservation is that I use cloth nappies and it does seem to leave some staining but this seems a good trade for the nice soft bottom that it results in.

Additional info- DS was in a wet and dirty nappy for longer than usual today Blush and has no soreness or redness, so I am impressed.

Disclaimer I do not make a habit of leaving him in a dirty nappy. It was a busy day and a very non-smelly poo.

How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

The ointment was easy to use, if I used too much it did not rub in, but after using it twice I worked out how much to use

How often and when did you use the ointment?

I used it for 5 days at every nappy change

How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

I don't know if it was any more effective at preventing nappy rash, my DD didn't have any while using the ointment. No her skin didn't feel softer, but then it's as soft as a baby's bottom anyway Wink

Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

have used sudocrem as a barrier and bepanthem. It was silkier in texture than sudocrem but similar in coverage, it was definitely easier to apply than bepanthem

What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

to be honest, I don't really care what packaging looks like so long as the product works! It could be in a white box with the name on the front if I like it I will buy it

I don't know if I would, it highlighted how poor the skin was on my hands as it stuck to the dry bits on my skin and didn't come off with a wash, in that respect it seems quite heavy for an every single nappy change cream

Very easy to use. Rubbed in easily and didn;t have a problem with working out how much to use.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

Used all week after ever nappy change.

DS's skin didn't feel or look any different having used the ointment. DS hasn;t had nappy rash at all, so I suppose as the ointment is a preventative measure, it's difficult to say if it "worked" or not if you consider that DS may never have gotten nappy rash in the first place? Although as my DP pointed out, the prevention is probably easier than treatment of.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

Haven't used any other product (Although had bought Sudecrem before DS was born for just in case)

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

Packaging looked ok. Maybe a little clinical?

I would certainly say I had tried the cream and give it a positive review.

I found it very easy to use. A little goes quite a long way meaning that I expect it to last a little while. It was very easily absorbed into the skin.

I have been using it at every nappy change since Monday- so we have used it for 4 full days now.

We have only had one slight breakout of nappy rash, 2 days after using the cream, but after applying a little more at the next nappy change it had vanished within a few hours.

I used Sudocrem before, which I found to be very thick and gunky, not terribly effective and not very nice to use.

The tube packaging isn't very easy to use. Tricky to get the lid off/on whilst holding baby down. A plastic tube with a flip top lid would have been far better.

I would, yes. So far I have been very impressed and am certainly intending o continue using it.

Oops...I meant to say: I would recommend it, yes and that I fully intend to continue using it!
