This thread is for the 200 Mumsnetters who are trying Metanium's Everyday Barrier Ointment with their DCs.

We've included some questions below to get you started but please feel free to add any other comments you may have.

Everyone who takes part and adds their feedback to this thread will receive a free Busy Baby Wall Planner (RRP £9.99) and will also be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £100 Office voucher and another winner will receive a £100 Debenhams voucher.

Please note that your comments may be used (anonymously) by the makers of Metanium in marketing/advertising materials e.g. on their website/Facebook page and possibly elsewhere.

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw.

TeamBippo has had a few problems trying to post her feedback, so here it is:

~ How easy or difficult did you find the ointment to use? Was it easy to rub in or not? Was it easy to work out how much you should use or not?
Easy to rub in and felt quite smooth (although DP said he found it sticky). I think I might have used too much of it because when it was time to change the nappy again it was often still in a quite thick layer of cream on DS's bum, with bits clumped together as well.

~ How often and when did you use the ointment?
Before bed and one or two other times during the day. Not every nappy change because I forgot.

~ How effective (or not) do you think the ointment was at preventing nappy rash? Did your DC's skin feel any softer after using the ointment or not?
It seems to work well, I found that DS's bum had less red bits on it (from where his pants crease) as well.

~ Which, if any, barrier product did you use before? How did Metanium Everyday ointment compare to this?
I usually use Sudacrem, and found Metanium easier to apply and easier to wipe off things it shouldn't be on. I also like how it is in a tube rather than a tub.

~ What did you think about the packaging? Do you think it could be improved in any way?
Looks fine.

~ If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Metanium Everyday to other parents? If so why, if not why not?
Probably not, but just because i'm not too sure how to pronounce it.
