Asda is looking for 50 Mumsnetters to try out their Back to School uniform range. They've put in a lot of effort to make it hard-wearing, comfortable and easy to wash and iron and want to put it to the test on your child.

If you have a school-aged child or a child about to start school and would like to put the new range through its paces please add your details by clicking here.

You can select uniform for one child - we're sorry if this causes any problems for those with more than one school aged child but we wanted to ensure as many MNers as possible were able to take part.

You may select a t-shirt/ shirt pack, one trousers/ dress/ shirt and one jumper/ cardigan. The uniform will be worth up to £15.

If you are selected to test the uniform, your name, address and sizing/ clothing requirement details will be sent to Asda who will send you the uniform directly.

We will then need you and your child to try the uniform - really putting it through its paces, washing it, wearing it as usual then to add feedback on Mumsnet.

We'll want you to add feedback three times -

~ once when you first receive it

~ when it has been worn and washed once or twice and

~ lastly when it has been washed and worn a few times

Everyone who is selected for the test, and then offers three lots of feedback will be entered into a prize draw to where one winner will receive £200 of Asda vouchers.

Thanks and good luck. If selected you will be emailed confirmation and should receive uniform within 2-3 weeks.

I did M&S too - I just couldnt believe that asda would be as good a quality at such a price, but am happy to do this test to be proved wrong! I have 18 years of school uniforms to go at least, so making the switch to Asda could save me a fair bit of money long term!

AnnMumsnet · 23/08/2010 23:27

sorry collison - testers are picked at random from within the list of volunteers. This one was very popular.

Are more product tests coming up in Sept/ later on I promise....

tjacksonpfc - sorry you are not on the list this time...

I know the real reason.

It is because I said that I didnt shop at ASDA because it was too far away!

Really really Sad and a bit Angry but thanks for replying

TequilaMockinBird · 24/08/2010 13:57

collision, I also said that I dont shop at Asda so I dont think it's that!

I also dont think that there is a reason at all - it was purely a random selection AFAIK

TitsalinaBumSquash · 31/08/2010 10:25

Anyone got the uniform yet?

serenity · 31/08/2010 10:57

When is the uniform due to arrive?

NoahAndTheWhale · 01/09/2010 20:59

I was wondering that too.

Goober · 02/09/2010 13:38

Haven't got mine either.

ilovesprouts · 02/09/2010 22:14

as above when do we get it !!

Saltire · 03/09/2010 17:35

Surely the point of trying school uniform is to try it out at school, which has now started?

NoahAndTheWhale · 03/09/2010 21:35

Ours hasn't started yet (starts on Monday) but there will be plenty of school for DS to try the uniform out on I suppose.

Am just eager to put name labels on Grin

smokinaces · 06/09/2010 20:50

I was just coming on here to see if anyone had theirs yet, as we havent received ours. Looks like I'm not alone then!

AnnMumsnet · 07/09/2010 09:46

Hi
We've heard from Asda who say the uniforms will be going out this week - and sorry for the delay. Ann

Was wondering where they had got to.
DS2 has stained all 3 of his new shirts by skidding across the field playing football Angry!

Saltire · 09/09/2010 10:05

I had put off getting DS2 more than 1 pair of trousers, becasue there was a pair coming from Asda, but looks like I'll have to go to M&S at the weekend!
