Asda is looking for 50 Mumsnetters to try out their Back to School uniform range. They've put in a lot of effort to make it hard-wearing, comfortable and easy to wash and iron and want to put it to the test on your child.

If you have a school-aged child or a child about to start school and would like to put the new range through its paces please add your details by clicking here.

You can select uniform for one child - we're sorry if this causes any problems for those with more than one school aged child but we wanted to ensure as many MNers as possible were able to take part.

You may select a t-shirt/ shirt pack, one trousers/ dress/ shirt and one jumper/ cardigan. The uniform will be worth up to £15.

If you are selected to test the uniform, your name, address and sizing/ clothing requirement details will be sent to Asda who will send you the uniform directly.

We will then need you and your child to try the uniform - really putting it through its paces, washing it, wearing it as usual then to add feedback on Mumsnet.

We'll want you to add feedback three times -

~ once when you first receive it

~ when it has been worn and washed once or twice and

~ lastly when it has been washed and worn a few times

Everyone who is selected for the test, and then offers three lots of feedback will be entered into a prize draw to where one winner will receive £200 of Asda vouchers.

Thanks and good luck. If selected you will be emailed confirmation and should receive uniform within 2-3 weeks.

A pair of trousers arrived.
Thtas all so far.

DS's trousers were a bit long. Luckily adjustable waist otherwise they would have been huge round his waist too! All will be washed this weekend. No sign of missing shirts but not complaining because smaller size Asda sent do fit him luckily. Jumper is quite thin but seems ok so far.

Still nothing here either.

Scootergrrrl · 08/10/2010 11:12

Still nothing. Is it wrong that I am unfeasibly hacked off with Asda for this? Presumably it wouldn't be so hard to send them out from the main warehouse as if we had paid for them?

FallingWithStyle · 08/10/2010 11:36

Got a package this morning and thought it was the rest of the uniform. It wasn't, funnily enough Hmm Grin

Cant say I'm hacked off - it makes no odds really, they're asking us to try it out and give an opinion, in return we get a few free bits of uniform Not like we paid for it.

VinegarTits · 08/10/2010 12:28

I got a package the other day, a pair of trousers and 2 jumpers (no polo shirts)

they apologised for late delivery and said they have send an extra jump as a sorry

the trousers are ok, but im not impressed with the jumpers, one of which looks faded already before it been worn, like it had been hanging in the sunlight too long

not impressed so far Asda

will see how the wear/wash and report back

We have had our uniform a few weeks now.

Black age 14 Jumper washed better than I expected and has held shape. Sons likes it as although it is a bit on the thin side it fits better under his blazer.

Trousers again washed fine not using belt as felt itwas too flimsy.

Shirts washed and iron fine, slighy thin compare to our usual M&S and have feeling may not remain so white in the long run.

We have had a puff sleeved blouse and a boyfriend cardi for a few weeks now - no sign of culottes.
DD adores the blouse, it's her favourite and is in and out of the wash all week. Washes well and is quick to iron. It's quite thin so a plain white vest/croptop is required!
Boyfriend cardi is worn at weekends as it's too trendy for school, but dd thinks it's great, good length (verging on sloppy but that's the idea).

Still nothing here.

ComeWhineWithMe · 13/10/2010 12:59

I got a skirt in the post and a letter of apology with a promise to send the rest on this was two weeks ago.

Lovely skirt though :)

MNHQ-have sent an email to you. Still nothing here. Sad

Goober · 27/02/2011 19:36

Did anybody ever get what they were waiting for?

I am still waiting for a voucher to get the shirts. Doubt if I will get it now. Sad
