Asda is looking for 50 Mumsnetters to try out their Back to School uniform range. They've put in a lot of effort to make it hard-wearing, comfortable and easy to wash and iron and want to put it to the test on your child.

If you have a school-aged child or a child about to start school and would like to put the new range through its paces please add your details by clicking here.

You can select uniform for one child - we're sorry if this causes any problems for those with more than one school aged child but we wanted to ensure as many MNers as possible were able to take part.

You may select a t-shirt/ shirt pack, one trousers/ dress/ shirt and one jumper/ cardigan. The uniform will be worth up to £15.

If you are selected to test the uniform, your name, address and sizing/ clothing requirement details will be sent to Asda who will send you the uniform directly.

We will then need you and your child to try the uniform - really putting it through its paces, washing it, wearing it as usual then to add feedback on Mumsnet.

We'll want you to add feedback three times -

~ once when you first receive it

~ when it has been worn and washed once or twice and

~ lastly when it has been washed and worn a few times

Everyone who is selected for the test, and then offers three lots of feedback will be entered into a prize draw to where one winner will receive £200 of Asda vouchers.

Thanks and good luck. If selected you will be emailed confirmation and should receive uniform within 2-3 weeks.

pooka · 14/09/2010 13:15

I'd actually forgotten that had been picked - haven't had clothes for testing yet. Oh well...

Scootergrrrl · 14/09/2010 13:18

Nothing here either. Just confirms what I put as my reason for not usually shopping at Asda - "it's a bit crap, really". I wonder if I'll be turfed off the test for rudeness.....?

clayre · 14/09/2010 13:36

Ok, giving feeback about my initial impressions.

Jumper fits fine, aged 13-14, good price, son liked it, will be interesting to see how it washes.

Shirts age 14-15 also fit fine and are a good price.

Trousers age 14-15. These seem quite large on my son ( aged 14yr 6mths) and are quite high waisted which he isnt keen on. The belt is quite stiff and feels cheap, which I know it is good value but I am not sure how comfortable it will be on him

That's my feeback so far.

MN towers if there is any more initial info ASDA are interested in please let me know.
Thanks

smokinaces · 14/09/2010 19:23

I got a red royal mail card through my door, so guessing it is my uniform. am a little worried if they come up really generous though as DS1 is 4 and I asked for 5-6 as he's in size 5 clothes generally! Will feedback tomorrow when I pick it up from the postoffice.

ilovesprouts · 14/09/2010 19:31
