Asda is looking for 50 Mumsnetters to try out their Back to School uniform range. They've put in a lot of effort to make it hard-wearing, comfortable and easy to wash and iron and want to put it to the test on your child.

If you have a school-aged child or a child about to start school and would like to put the new range through its paces please add your details by clicking here.

You can select uniform for one child - we're sorry if this causes any problems for those with more than one school aged child but we wanted to ensure as many MNers as possible were able to take part.

You may select a t-shirt/ shirt pack, one trousers/ dress/ shirt and one jumper/ cardigan. The uniform will be worth up to £15.

If you are selected to test the uniform, your name, address and sizing/ clothing requirement details will be sent to Asda who will send you the uniform directly.

We will then need you and your child to try the uniform - really putting it through its paces, washing it, wearing it as usual then to add feedback on Mumsnet.

We'll want you to add feedback three times -

~ once when you first receive it

~ when it has been worn and washed once or twice and

~ lastly when it has been washed and worn a few times

Everyone who is selected for the test, and then offers three lots of feedback will be entered into a prize draw to where one winner will receive £200 of Asda vouchers.

Thanks and good luck. If selected you will be emailed confirmation and should receive uniform within 2-3 weeks.

cobalt blue

knickers0nmyhead · 19/08/2010 23:54

Shit!

hobbgoblin · 19/08/2010 23:58

You are joking right? How the hell did Royal Blue turn into cobalt?

hobbgoblin · 20/08/2010 00:01

I take it all back. Sorry. Cobalt is blue. I thought it was a steely grey/blue but appears not.

However, school uniform that is not navy has always been called Royal Blue as far as I am concerned.

As I say though, I do apologise. You can get Royal Blue at Matalan if you prefer the name Royal to Cobalt.

I am anti royalist so probably need to carry out all future jumper shopping at Asda as of NOW.

knickers0nmyhead · 20/08/2010 00:05

I googled Colbalt and it said steel grey Hmm

I shall forever blame you now HG! Grin

hobbgoblin · 20/08/2010 00:07

What do you do if you have DC with egg mayonnaise yellow uniform? It isn't unheard of.

knickers0nmyhead · 20/08/2010 00:10

Bleugh at egg mayo colour!

Whilst on the subject of school uniform though, does anyone know where I can get one of these in royal/colbalt please?

hobbgoblin · 20/08/2010 00:26

Was going to ask about Dijon Brown and Psychedelic purple like wot I have seen in these parts, but then realised these are also odd posh school colours.

My school was kilts and Bottle Green. You don't see a lot of bottle green these days do you? My private school was apple green. Can't get much awkwarder 9Wink) than turquoise though I reckon.

smokinaces · 20/08/2010 09:41

Done, and glad I read the rest of the thread as I need royal blue too and took a wild guess at Colbalt!
