Asda is looking for 50 Mumsnetters to try out their Back to School uniform range. They've put in a lot of effort to make it hard-wearing, comfortable and easy to wash and iron and want to put it to the test on your child.

If you have a school-aged child or a child about to start school and would like to put the new range through its paces please add your details by clicking here.

You can select uniform for one child - we're sorry if this causes any problems for those with more than one school aged child but we wanted to ensure as many MNers as possible were able to take part.

You may select a t-shirt/ shirt pack, one trousers/ dress/ shirt and one jumper/ cardigan. The uniform will be worth up to £15.

If you are selected to test the uniform, your name, address and sizing/ clothing requirement details will be sent to Asda who will send you the uniform directly.

We will then need you and your child to try the uniform - really putting it through its paces, washing it, wearing it as usual then to add feedback on Mumsnet.

We'll want you to add feedback three times -

~ once when you first receive it

~ when it has been worn and washed once or twice and

~ lastly when it has been washed and worn a few times

Everyone who is selected for the test, and then offers three lots of feedback will be entered into a prize draw to where one winner will receive £200 of Asda vouchers.

Thanks and good luck. If selected you will be emailed confirmation and should receive uniform within 2-3 weeks.

Me too! I was so excited I accidently deleted my solution to the demolition of the libraries thread. It's a pity because I had it all worked out.

Never mind - free school uniform. Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 23/08/2010 15:57

Yay i am one of the chosen ones :)

It will be good to see becuase the nearest Asda from me is about 20-30 min drive but if i know there good uniforms that wash well then i dont mind driving that far to bulk buy. DS spends his time at school lounging on the white board and getting black marker all over his clothes which doesnt come out, also i am yet to find trousers that dont fall round down his backside.
The school is glass fronted, its so lovely to see all the children in thier uniforms learning when i walk past, however my eyes always manage to pick out DS's little bottom poking out his trousers. Grin

TrinityRhino · 23/08/2010 17:14

gutted

serenity · 23/08/2010 17:15

I'm quite chuffed at being chosen as it means no panic buying for us for poor DS2(ordered uniform online at the beginning of the summer only to discover that the sizing was crap, and DS2 only has 1 pair of trousers to start Y6 in) Let's see how much ASDAs quality has improved then (was good, then went off the rails a bit, and then could never get Navy in my local store)

AnnMumsnet · 23/08/2010 17:25

trinity - you were onthe list but looks like your email addy was not correct on the form - will resend

Goober · 23/08/2010 18:59

I got picked. Smile

Did you?

Goober · 23/08/2010 19:00

Tis a shame that it won't be here for start of term, but, hey.

CoffeeGoneColdAgain · 23/08/2010 19:11

Oh man!!!! :( Ah well better luck next time. I might get lucky and get get chosen next time! Well done to all of you who got picked. Will look at the feedback and see if its worth giving asda uniform a shot!

CoffeeGoneColdAgain · 23/08/2010 19:12

just the one get

smokinaces · 23/08/2010 20:10

Yeay, first one I have been picked to take part in Smile

DS1 starts reception next week, and have no idea how uniform is going to hold up against his knees!!

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 23/08/2010 21:08

I've been chosen too!

Just got new uniform for ds1 from M+S, but have an Asda not all that much further away, so if this is good quality uniform then I'd be happy to make the swap.

DS1 will be a good tester I think!

collision · 23/08/2010 21:10

Mine was the second post here. why was I not chosen? Angry

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 23/08/2010 21:12

I think it must be at random.

CaptainKirksNipples · 23/08/2010 21:17

Yippee I am a chosen one!Grin

Iwish, that is what I am hoping too. I went for m&s because that is where friends buy their stuff and I am too chicken to try anywhere else! I am hopeful they are just as good as they are cheaper and DS and trouser knees do not go well!
