Ho ho ho!

Looking forward to that one!

MinkyBorage · 09/10/2008 11:29

lololol
I don't have any questions.......nope, nothing at all...........nada

Bobbiewickham · 09/10/2008 11:29

Can't wait for "sexually transmitted cookery" to crop up!

captainofthemummies · 09/10/2008 11:30

How about - 'what exactly makes you think that you are any better qualified to write a cookery book than 90% of normal mums? '

Or 'haven't you got enough money yet?'

mabanana · 09/10/2008 11:31

Don't be so mean - just because you are jealous
Play nicely children.

StressedoutGobbledigook · 09/10/2008 11:33

Hmmm.

I have a question for MN - why?

Bobbiewickham · 09/10/2008 11:35

I think they capture mners imaginations like nothing else.

The Tony Parsons one was a riot.

I'd like to ask Tana if she ever rifles Gordon's face grooves for small change for the car park.

Hell, does she rifle Gordon's face grooves when she can't find the frickin' car?

nickytwoooohtimes · 09/10/2008 11:37

Oh, fgs.
Why?

combustiblelemon · 09/10/2008 11:37

How did she cope with raising small children with someone who has stated that he's never changed a nappy?

ledodgy · 09/10/2008 11:39

Do your children regularly use the F word or does Gordon tone it down at home?

TheDullWitch · 09/10/2008 11:41

Dear Tana, Aren't you and Gordon rich enough yet? What with yr 12 restaurants across the world, new London hotel, his two TV series in UK, two in US, Times magazine column, advertising deals, his books and now your book about Home Cookin'....

Seriously Tana, will any amount of money ever be enough for you guys?

ComeOVeneer · 09/10/2008 11:42

Oh come on guys you are being rather cruel!

StressedoutGobbledigook · 09/10/2008 11:44

rofl dullwitch!

combustiblelemon · 09/10/2008 11:45

I think it is a tad unrealistic to expect people to talk solely about her book when the reason she has a book out is because of who she is married to. It may be a wonderful book, but it will sell because of who she is as much as on the strength of he recipes.

mabanana · 09/10/2008 11:46

I'd rather have nigella or nigel slater please, if I'm honest. Esp nigel slater. I heart him.

Carmenere · 09/10/2008 11:47
TheDullWitch · 09/10/2008 11:48

My question is serious. And I'd like it asked. Because how much is enough? Why can't the Ramseys just do the things they do well/better, rather than this eternal spreading of thinness across an every expanding empire. Sooner or later you will water down and taint your brand, and Ramsey will be restaurant world's Starbucks.

TheDullWitch · 09/10/2008 11:49

Carmenere> I agree, although Nigel Slater hates children.

Miyazaki · 09/10/2008 11:50

Did you have ANY involvement with writing the cookery book bar the photo shoot and your name on the cover?

geekgirl · 09/10/2008 11:50

maybe she can explain why her recipes never work out and the quantities are all wrong. Is there a secret code? Does '3' really mean '5' for instance?

TheDullWitch · 09/10/2008 11:52

Sorry, I meant Mabanana.

mabanana · 09/10/2008 11:52

However, should a woman be expected to turn down every career opportunity given to her, purely because she is married to someone wealthy who works in the same field? Should the banker wife of a hedge fund manager not accept a job because her husband is rich? Yes, it is clear that Tana Ramsay, former teacher and mother of four would not necessarily have been able to have a book published unless her husband was a famous chef and TV personality, but given that is the case, should she just say no, shut up and not do it? I would do it if I were her, and it was something I enjoyed. Nigella Lawson's not a trained cook either.
