Omg what do I do now?

I’ve been chatting to someone online for the past week, we have arranged to meet tomorrow, he’s just informed me he’s uploaded another photo of himself, as his others were not very clear and quite far away, my god he’s awful, I know looks aren’t everything but I just can’t meet him, Why couldn’t he have posted this one in the first place! He just looks so scruffy with a stubbly beard which I hate, his other photos are obviously older. How do I tell him I don’t wish to meet now? I feel a right cow but I just can’t meet him.

I'd probably meet him and tell him after that I wasn't feeling it romantically. Maybe you'll like him better in person? I think a real life impression will say far more.

Well, he wouldn't have posted them if he didn't know he had misled you so he's half expecting it. Better than you showing up and doing a runner.

OR maybe he's drop dead gorgeous and has posted a shitty doctored photo to weed out the superficial ones.

I think it's fair enough to say you don't feel the spark when you look at his pictures.

i’d still meet. sometimes photos arent what someone really looks like. maybe he will be clean shaven. who knows. id maje it a coffee shop though and have somethimg urgent to attend to after an hour and go.

Yes you’re probably right I am being a cow, but if he had posted this photo in the first place, it would have been better I feel like he’s misled me.

As per @PrizedPickledPopcorn you could say you've got frostbite ❄️
Easier than "Your most recent photo leaves me cold".

No he’s just messaged saying I might not recognise him as he’s grown some whiskers.

Yes I’m serious he just looks really scruffy, I mean he could be a lovely person, but to be honest our conversations weren’t exactly great anyway.

How far away was the original photo? How different can it be?

The beard, yeah, I don't like them but he may not have it all the time. He might well turn up clean shaven.

It was that far away I had to screenshot, but when I zoomed in it went all blurry, I couldn’t make out the hoop in his photos, and he definitely didn’t have a beard, no he told me he’s grown it so he obviously likes it.

But people do look different in real life in good and bad ways. I'd still go. I can photograph differently on different days for reasons that I cannot work out! It depends on so many things.
