Just thought I'd better start a new thread for those of you who would like to see updates before the old one is totally full.

All still good here! I've been a bit low on iron but the tablets REALLY don't agree with me. So I've started just taking one in the morning with orange juice, and having a spoonful of Floridix in the afternoon and making an effort to eat spinach and red meat.
I've been feeling baby OMG moving around a lot more now he's getting bigger and stronger, which is lovely although slightly alarming at times!

We've probably got a maximum of 7 weeks to go now as I understand the drs are not keen for older mums to go much over 39 weeks. Eeeek.
Will keep you all posted.

Not long now!!

northernpearl · 10/06/2022 23:38

With all the pregnancy/parenting threads on here, why did you post this in AIBU?

I'm happy for you but posting on this thread is insensitive I feel

PinkButtercups · 10/06/2022 23:46

My DS the day before labour decided to go back to back 🤣. They didn't realise until I was in labour and a lovely doctor turned him around for me.

Being pregnant is part of life, no need to hide it away in specific sections. If posters don't like it they can hide it. Anyway OP posted here because her original thread is here and if you read it you will see she has had fertility struggles.

Ohdofuckofdear · 11/06/2022 01:20

I just saw this thread come up so I read your original thread from start to finish and I can't tell you how happy I am for you.

It's so lovely to read something so positive on here.

Congratulations to you both💐

I hide the pregnancy threads for this very reason. I think it's inappropriate for it to be in AIBU.

QuidditchThroughtheAges · 11/06/2022 07:25

@northernpearl I have to agree.
I understand op has had fertility issues but she's pregnant now and other people still struggle.
If anything surely she should understand that more than most?

BetsyBigNose · 11/06/2022 08:26

I'm so pleased to read your wonderful updates, I commented right back in December when you first posted and kept up to date with your last thread, so it's been lovely to see today how well everything is going for you!

My first baby was breech at my 32 week scan, but one evening when I was 35 weeks and in the bath, I watched her push up on her hands and knees and turn herself around - it was quite bizarre to watch! So don't worry too much at this stage, your DS still has time to turn on his own, without intervention. My eldest DD is 15 now, but that moment is still very clear in my memory!

Sending you my very best wishes!

RidingMyBike · 11/06/2022 08:32

What a lovely thread - good luck OP!

PolliFlinders · 11/06/2022 09:08

So lovely, very best wishes.

@Happylittlethoughts are you my mum?!
She has just started referring to the baby as “Baby Brian”!

Also, I never intended this to be a smug, rub your face in it thread.
I just started a new thread because Mumsnetters are keen to be updated on our news. So I whacked it on AIBU as my initial thread was on here so I put this new one in the same place without thinking much about it.

I’m surprised that some Mumsnetters feel I’ve been insensitive, but am sorry if I’ve made you feel crap in any way.
I’ll ask if Mumsnet can maybe move it.

Do people moaning about Op walk around with their eyes closed in case they see a pregnant woman?

prettybird · 11/06/2022 20:59

I've enjoyed reading this uplifting story SmileFlowers - and I'm someone who still can't hold young babies as I had two MMCs after having ds, who is now 21! ShockBlushConfused I'm hoping I'll have got over it by the time if/when he has his own kids Wink

It's easy enough for people to hide individual threads if they're on a topic that triggers them.

FayeGovan · 11/06/2022 21:26

Its unreasonable for posters to expect this thread to be anywhere except where op wants it. Its clear its about an unexpected pregnancy. If this is upsetting there's no need to open it.

Helpyou · 11/06/2022 21:28

Yay so pleased for an update. I was thinking of you the other day!

TheBigFatMermaid · 12/06/2022 11:27

How have I only just seen these threads?

Keep well, OP. I look forward to hearing about little ones safe arrival.

TakeMeToKernow · 12/06/2022 20:03

I remember reading your very first posts and being teary I was so pleased for you 🥰
