Just thought I'd better start a new thread for those of you who would like to see updates before the old one is totally full.

All still good here! I've been a bit low on iron but the tablets REALLY don't agree with me. So I've started just taking one in the morning with orange juice, and having a spoonful of Floridix in the afternoon and making an effort to eat spinach and red meat.
I've been feeling baby OMG moving around a lot more now he's getting bigger and stronger, which is lovely although slightly alarming at times!

We've probably got a maximum of 7 weeks to go now as I understand the drs are not keen for older mums to go much over 39 weeks. Eeeek.
Will keep you all posted.

Hi Mumsnetters. Baby OMG turns one this week. I can barely believe it! I thought some of you might like an update.

We are doing well and looking forward to having a little family party. Baby OMG is looking less like a baby and more like a little boy. He is full of beans, into everything and is just on the cusp of walking.
He still loves his food. He also loves to smile and wave at people out and about. People always comment on his smile and his lovely big blue eyes.
He is also a nightmare when he’s not had enough sleep, is very noisy and the poor cat is sick of being grabbed, so it’s not all good!

He starts nursery in September and I start a new
job, which I’m looking forward to. We’ve had a bit of a tough time as I was made redundant in March which was stressful, but I feel like its all worked out for the best as the new job is a better one. I think baby OMG will love nursery as he’s been enjoying his settling in sessions.

I know everyone says it goes so quickly, but it really does!

I was just musing with DH that it was two years ago since we got a very unexpected surprise and I started my old thread.
Baby OMG has graduated to insane toddler OMG. He is so much fun, but exhausting! He is the light of our lives. He is walking and talking now. Although he mainly just shouts Mama, more (at food) and the cat’s name.
He loves nursery, books, cuddles and the cat. The cat is less keen 😂

Hope you’re all ready for a lovely festive period. We’re going to take DS to look at Christmas lights and get a tree sorted.
Life as a family of three is lovely.
