Help me - I’m trapped in a Seasalt jumpsuit

It’s the Treen Cove one, I’ve lusted after it since Siobhan wore it on Pottery Showdown. It went on with no issues, looks lovely, fits well and is flattering but…..

I’m stuck in the bloody thing. It’s been an hour and I can’t even free an arm despite unbuttoning it down as far as it will go.

Has anyone got this jumpsuit? Can you give me any tips on how to get out of it? I reckon I have about 2 hours before I need the loo.

Perhaps I should have gone for a size bigger for wiggle room knowing what I know now. I’m just going to post myself down to Seasalt HQ and let them deal with it.

Don't understand the love for jumpsuits. They look nice but don't you basically have to get naked just to go for a wee? The thought of doing that in public toilets and trying to keep it off the floor ..

DobbyTheHouseElk · 11/07/2021 18:06

I’m feeling panicked for you OP. Are you free yet? I’d have wet myself by now.

Alternista · 11/07/2021 18:06

I have no idea how to help but you’ve made my day OP so thank you 😂

ilovecherries · 11/07/2021 18:07

A couple of years ago a JL personal stylist had to cut me out of a (perfectly fitting) jumpsuit she’d put me in as an ‘ideal’ wedding guest outfit. She called for reinforcements and even two of them couldn’t get the bastarding thing off. I was incredibly upset at the time, although the two stylists involved were lovely, and swore it wasn’t the first time they’d had to cut someone out of a jumpsuit.

Miseryisabutterfly · 11/07/2021 18:10

Have a drink and find someone to help you! Good luck!

Miseryisabutterfly · 11/07/2021 18:15

Just looking at the jumpsuit online now… would it be possible to unbutton the front and get a leg out? Then get the rest off? 🙈

DameFanny · 11/07/2021 18:16

I had a full length dress with wide crossover straps. Had a bit to drink and ended up having to do a handstand to get out of it

DameFanny · 11/07/2021 18:16

@Hoppinggreen

Lube and a fish slice?
Heh
Ostryga · 11/07/2021 18:20

I once got stuck in an M&S smoothing body thing. I tried to roll it down, then up and it stuck round my middle like an iron band. I had to get dressed, pay for it still on and cut it off when I got home.

If OP doesn't return we need to organise a rescue party before we get distracted by football.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 11/07/2021 18:22

I am free!!!! Thank you for your fellow stories of suffering and kind suggestions. @66babe Flowers how rude of her

Flowers @Northernlurker the bed thing worked!! Eventually…

I was struggling with traction so laid down a massive upside down bath mat for grip. It took longer than I thought but the second I could feel some give I had HOPE.

I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t pretty and my dog is hiding. It’s lying like a dead spider in the corner of the room having a think on how to behave in future.

Not the dog. The jumpsuit.

@Ostryga oh my god I nearly passed out once wearing one of those
Literally couldn't breath
My organs were being crushed by an ugly American tan colour contraption that just squeezed the fat down the way in the thighs and up the way to give me back fat

Glad you free OP 🤭😆

Ozziewozzie · 11/07/2021 18:31

This is hilarious! My son had the exact same problem with a fluffy M &S onesie. Poor thing was desperate for a morning wee, and the fluff was caught in the zipper. In the end, I had to cut him out of it with scissors. M &S were brilliant and gave us a refund. I understand your predicament.

MilesOfSand · 11/07/2021 18:31

@Pinkywoo

Have you got one of those trouser coat hangers with peg type things at either end? Peg it to each shoulder behind your head then find something of a suitable height to hook the hook off (door handle would work if kneel down), then wiggle your shoulders out away from the hanger!
She could end up hung on the door Grin
TheOrigRights · 11/07/2021 18:33

So I just googled the jumpsuit and the first hit had buttons. I am presuming yours does not have buttons, otherwise I cannot imagine how you can get stuck!

I have a lovely Lands End tankini. The top is high neck and it has an inner boob thing. It is SO hard to pull it over my head when it and me are wet. The boob thing sticks to my body, there is little stretch around the neck or arms.

It would be a bit awkward having to ask for help to get out of it at the swimming pool!

nb I have really small boobs, I do not need the boob thing, but it is firmly attached.

There seems to be a heck of a lot of them on the top of goggle for sale on EBay. I wonder why ..

AlfonsoTheMango · 11/07/2021 18:40

Glad to hear you're free, OP. I hope the jumpsuit is suitably chastened.

(I must admit I was hyperventilating a bit on your behalf.)

Northernlurker · 11/07/2021 18:40

@FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge that's great news and good thinking with the bath mat!

Miseryisabutterfly · 11/07/2021 18:41

😂 so glad you’re free op. Put it on eBay so.

It’s SO much more common than you’d think! I used work for a high street fashion chain, and we’ve cut people out of all sorts. Every time I saw it happen the item fitted the person well. There was absolutely no logical reason for them to get stuck.
Suzi888 · 11/07/2021 18:42

YABU not to post photos Grin

DannyNedelko · 11/07/2021 18:44

It's only difficult to take off the first time. Next time will be much easier. Give it a go and let us know how you get on.

Teaandbicciesplease · 11/07/2021 18:45

I was coming on to suggest camel pose and a shimmy of the shoulders but I'm too late! Glad you're free op!
