I bloody love a nice hotel. What is your favourite hotel you’ve stayed in?

Mine would be:
Crowne Plaza Changi (Singapore) and got upgraded to the roof terrace suite. Absolutely loved it.
The Langham Hong Kong and stayed in the junior suite!

The Mandarin Oriental - Bangkok
Raffles - Dubai

But by far the best was the Banyan Tree in Phuket, outstanding in every war, fantastic service, in villa chef, in villa masseuse, gardener, own pool, stone jacuzzi, garden rain shower & bath

Shutters on the Beach, Santa Monica, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in

I’ve also stayed in the Westbury in Dublin a couple of times and the Clarence, preferred the Westbury

No one’s mentioned the Premier Inn at Barry Island yet……

Ooh I have another. Hotel Bosque del Mar in Costa Rica. Right on the beach, surrounded by trees, all sorts of amazing wildlife everywhere.

The midland hotel in Morecombe. Sounds like I’m taking the piss but I love Art Deco buildings. It was also unbelievably clean, food was great and the staff were lovely. Pity it’s so far as I’d love to go back.

Sonora Resort off the coast of British Columbia

So relaxing, amazing food, stunning scenery

BelterDelta · 06/07/2021 22:03

Banyan Tree, Mayakoba.

Upgraded due to a wedding party taking our room. Turned out we had our own butler, chef, masseuse, private pool & hot tub, rooftop BBQ, a separate day-room….the list was endless. 15 years ago 10 nights was £14kShock

Stayed in a lovely one in Colombo, had a French patisserie in it! For sheer opulence the belagio in Vegas, for location the Prince of Wales in Watertown lakes National park Canada. But favourite? Hard, bovey castle maybe

Nam Hai in Hoi An. So lush.

idontlikealdi · 06/07/2021 22:07

Oh another one closer to home - Burgh Island

DoItAfraid · 06/07/2021 22:08

This is not on par with the luxury ones listed but I LOVE a family suite in a Holiday Inn or Intercontinental. It’s just so practical with 2 young children.

OneEpisode · 06/07/2021 22:08

For ‘30s fans, a night at Burgh Island in Devon might be nice?
