We pay a company to clean our bins once a month on bin day. I’m not usually home when they come, but I’m off work today And happened to be in the kitchen. I watched my next door neighbour wait until the cleaner left, take the house number sticker off my bin and put it on his, then swap our bin for his so he had the cleaned bin and I had a non-cleaned one.

He was back in his house before I had time to contain the dog and go outside but now DH is home, WIBU to go round and ask for my bin back??

You need to go out there and tell them that you witnessed it!

OhRene · 28/06/2021 20:45

@MangosteenSoda

This is grade A+++ CF’ery. I’m a bit impressed Grin

You could probably get a sad face story in your local free paper out of this if you want to bring the big guns on the cheeky councillor.

Omg PLEASE do this.

Tell your story on the local town page and you'll have a reporter messaging you pretty quickly.

Or better yet, wait a month. Let him do it again but catch him on camera because if this guy is in politics, he'll be an seasoned fibber and will deny deny deny.

BingBongToTheMoon · 28/06/2021 20:45

Cheeky swine!

CupOfTPlease · 28/06/2021 20:45

What's taking 20 minutes?! Grab the bin, clip their ankles with it and have a very smug face whilst walking your bin home Grin.

We have our general waste bin cleaned every 2 weeks. They get gross and smelly!

chickenyhead · 28/06/2021 20:45

I am so shocked at this level of CFERRY

2bazookas · 28/06/2021 20:45

March over, change the stickers, and tell him why.

We need an outing of the cuntcillor

AramintaLee · 28/06/2021 20:46

I've had someone do this - not the level of CF to remove the number on my bin - but to just shamelessly steal mine after it's been cleaned. The number is faded, but I once found it 6 doors up.

The bin cleaning company now make a point of popping it back in my garden now so it doesn't get nicked.

Honestly the cheek of some people.

PinkCast · 28/06/2021 20:46

Oh my God, I can't wait to hear his "excuse"!!!

Say you saw in on your Ring Doorbell.

MrsMackesy · 28/06/2021 20:47

@DobbyTheHouseElk

I had a bin cleaner man. Cleaned it once and never saw him again. Asked him for a regular clean. He’s always advertising on FB so I don’t know why.

Used to have a bin cleaner years ago and the bin came back smelling lovely and clean and warm. This recent chap used cold water.

Shameless placemark really...

Intrigued to know why you like your bin to be warm? Do you cuddle it or sleep in it?
TreadLightly3 · 28/06/2021 20:47

Can’t wait for an update!

giletrouge · 28/06/2021 20:47

OMG do you think bin stealers wife didn't know what her utter cf of a husband has been up to?
Is this going to get dramatic?
Glad I've got a gin poured and ready OP!

viques · 28/06/2021 20:47

This is more stressful than watching the Murray match!

xprincessxjanetx · 28/06/2021 20:48

Omg the brass neck to pull off something like that!

Glad DH has gone round to confront, hope he gets to the bottom of it and isn't fed a load of BS.

Babygotblueyes · 28/06/2021 20:48

I need to log off but am dying to know what happened. I bet the wife is mortified! And if he was that quick about it, you know he did it before?

Love a bin gate

TheGumption · 28/06/2021 20:49

The quality content I'm here for.

xprincessxjanetx · 28/06/2021 20:49

Just had a thought I wonder if the bin he has now is his original bin and last week (or whenever) he switched them then so his original bin would get a 'free' clean and now he has switched them back

MrsMackesy · 28/06/2021 20:49

I bet they are wheelie embarrassed.

xprincessxjanetx · 28/06/2021 20:50

His wife must be mortified. If my DH had done that I would be foaming at the mouth!
