We pay a company to clean our bins once a month on bin day. I’m not usually home when they come, but I’m off work today And happened to be in the kitchen. I watched my next door neighbour wait until the cleaner left, take the house number sticker off my bin and put it on his, then swap our bin for his so he had the cleaned bin and I had a non-cleaned one.

He was back in his house before I had time to contain the dog and go outside but now DH is home, WIBU to go round and ask for my bin back??

This is grade A+++ CF’ery. I’m a bit impressed

You could probably get a sad face story in your local free paper out of this if you want to bring the big guns on the cheeky councillor.

Imagine caring so much that a bin outside your house was clean AND being too tight to clean it and both of those feelings/characteristics being so strong in you that you'd steal a neighbours bin and swap the stickers on them… I'd want to send pay from gavin and stacey round 'I'm not being funny but you need to get a life' 😂

See, I'd keep my powder dry. I'd make sure I was ready to film next time. Or the time after- he may only want your clean bin every 2 months. Then I'd post it on the local FB page.

That way he a)won't do it again, and b) should lose his councillor job. Which is what needs to happen if he cannot meet the higher moral standards required of public office. Matt.

That's hilarious. Absolute CF! To be fair it might take you a while to notice - bins containing bin bags generally don't get dirty. I've been here 7 years and never had mine done and it's not smelly or especially dirty so I'd say wouldn't be noticeable for quite a while

I am so keen for the update on this. One of the cheekiest fuckers I’ve seen on here!

My neighbour did exactly the same thing!!! What's worse is a complained to the bin cleaner that it hadn't been cleaned (hadn't seen the sticker swapping happen) and then the following month they did it again!!! I went round and said that if they wanted to have their bins cleaned I could give them the cleaner's details. I then tippex'd our house number on the bin in front of their house. I was raging 🙈😂😂.
