There is a lipstick going around in the washing machine that isn't mine.

100% certain dh is not having an affair so who does the lipstick belong to and how on earth will I get it out of the washing as the lid has come off (presumably in the machine) and I'm guessing it will be all over it now. Luckily it was a dark wash. I've stopped the washing machine and put it on drain.

bananafish81 yes it was a decidual cast! Mind blown! How unusual are we talking?

yes it was a decidual cast! Mind blown! How unusual are we talking?

In this article it says pretty rare:

fortunately it’s pretty rare. In fact, in his 30 years practising as a gynaecologist, Sheridan has only ever seen three women actually pass their decidual cast. He takes a guess that other gynaes might see one every couple of years at a push. ‘Every woman has decidua but only incredibly rarely does it turn into a decidual cast.
^
‘There’s no official numbers out there, but having seen around 1,000 ectopic pregnancies throughout my career, I’ve only seen three casts passed, so we’re looking at a very small percentage.’^

This thread began on an intriguing note prompting ponderings of "is the bastard having an affair?"
The resulting story and explanation about that mysterious lipstick in the washing machine is as boring as ever but THANK GOD for your ds misplacing that lippy because if he didn't, the most amazing thread ever to have been created and appear on mumsnet would not be in existence.

I'm still in WTF mode and will be no doubt in my dreams.
This thread kept me up, robbing me of my precious and much needed sleep due to expressing breastmilk for the 8th month in a row despite it literally draining the life from me BUT I NEEDED TO REMAIN IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE. It was worth every second.

I love you all, you weird as hell, shell in the head, snails in the knee, thorns in the belly, needles in the toe, small-hand-or-teeth-finding, crazy bitches! 😱
Keep 'em coming!!!

Just watched this video on YouTube and thought of this thread. Feather in a baby’s neck.

My aunt lived in South Africa for a couple of years. Her leg had been a bit sore and her shin started to really itch so she started to scratch it and a split several inches long ran down her shin and out flew loads of flies! Apparently a fly had laid it’s eggs in a cut which healed over and had then hatched out a while later!

Inspired by this thread:
I've had my ears pierced twice - the first time they were half swallowed But we managed to get them out. I was left with a small lump in my right ear.

I had a good poke and wriggle over the weekend and through the second piercing was able to extract a hard lump.

Very satisfying BlushGrin

GLORIOUS

Unicornsandrainbows3 · 09/01/2018 18:12

I've just binge read this whole thread and ShockShock

I'm dead boring though, only having a piece of lead pencil visible but unreachable in my toe. It's been there for 30 odd years now. I do have a relative who had some sort of tropical worm crawl into the foot while on holiday many years ago. It was never seen again despite xrays etc. We assume it died and was absorbed into the body and said relative seems to have suffered no ill effects but perhaps (according to this thread ) it will burst forth one day!

That poor poor man! I'm so grateful for the nhs, having seen some of the self surgery in the US!

I had a tiny shell come out the side of my toenail once... very perplexing but now I understand just how common it is!

My husband has two very satisfying blackheads on his back. They are jet black big buggers and when I squeeze them I get about 10cm of hard black gunk out.

I have a very small lump on my cheek - so tempted to have a dig. Who knows what could be in there?

Grammarist · 14/01/2018 20:52

Oh dear god! That bum cyst man could seriously infect himself. Blergh! Some things you just don't do yourself.

The gift that keeps on giving...

ThomasinaShelby · 15/02/2018 23:30

Once after a particularly enthusiastic session of lovemaking with the dh, we lost the condom. It wasn't on him, or on me, not tangled with the bedding. it was a complete mystery. Dh said not to worry, it will turn up, but I was freaking out in case one of the kids found it. After much agonised searching, the obvious truth dawned on me. It was somewhere up my nether regions. After much googling and stressing, found an old cosmopolitan article online that said it happened to people and what to do when it does. Sure enough, after some rooting about, it was way up there probably by my cervix or womb, or somewhere and i managed to retrieve it. but that experience...I had scenarios in my head of going to a and e and having to present them with my fanny, it just didn't bear thinking about.

Luckily the first and only time that happened in our 15 years together...
