There is a lipstick going around in the washing machine that isn't mine.

100% certain dh is not having an affair so who does the lipstick belong to and how on earth will I get it out of the washing as the lid has come off (presumably in the machine) and I'm guessing it will be all over it now. Luckily it was a dark wash. I've stopped the washing machine and put it on drain.

My nose ring has bern sore the last couple of days, I never take it out.
Inspired by this thread I went and checked up my nose, with my magnified mirror.
There was a white 😒 nose hair wrapped around it.
I pulled it out with tweezers and it had to be 4 inches long Blush.
I tried to take a photo but lost the hair Grin

Nothing like as exciting as the stories on here, but I very occasionally get a hair grow right in the middle of my forehead. Always reminds me of the rhyme about the little girl with a little curl

Yes I believe the tiny hand was indeed some sort of rodent hand, it was certainly sprouting from some sort of black hair/fur. I’ve never found the rest of the creature though and I binned the offending washload...... vom!

Urgh! Gross but fascinating thread.

I too have a graphite lead in my thigh from 40 years ago.

Ds2 was playing British Bulldogs at primary in the snow, about 10 years ago. Fell or was whacked (I never found out which) I got a call to say the headmaster had taken him to casualty (lovely school with super gorgeous hm). I raced over there to find that he’d snapped off one of his new teeth(next to front but not incisor) and his mouth was all cut up, with blood still gushing until they packed it.
Anyway, next day we were on way to dentist to get him a false tooth/bridge made up when he announced that his top lip was really hurting. Got to the dentist who made him a temporary false one out of white filling stuff. Ds still moaning about pain in lip, so dentist poked around (in his lip) and then pulled out the missing broken tooth. Ugh!
No idea how doctors and nurses missed it. 😂

DH once got a massive thorn embedded in his calf. Couldn’t get it out until one day, many years later, it got red and hot. I was gently feeling around the area when the skin at one end of the thorn broke open and out it popped. Gave me quite a fright!

I had shell stuck in one of my buttocks when I was a child. Occasionally it hurt and Mum (a nurse) tried to get it out. Took many attempts over the years but she got it eventually.

My hairdresser says she often gets other people’s hair growing out of her arms. Apparently it’s really common. Boak!

I am absolutely loving this threadprobably more than I should be. I don't have anything on the scale of hands in the washing machine or teeth in exploding hands but back in my youth I had my upper lip pierced and the lip swelled so much that the bar disappeared inside it . . . it took two burly nurses half an hour to find and remove it. I removed all other piercings after that but starting to wish I hadn't after this thread.

I've had it for decades...it started as a game of stabby pencils in school...a few years later it started becoming 3d rather than the mark I thought it was....then recently its been working its way out over time.

Part of me wants to slice it/squeeze it....another part would feel sad to lose a memory and what I jokingly refer to as my first tattoo (it's right next to a wrist tattoo)

Should I squeeze it?
I'm a total sporner...so not squeamish! Grin

@cakey I’ll take that as a compliment but it was indeed a real tiny hand! Yes I had a cat at the time, so I’m guessing that’s how it ended up in our house, but still spent ages trying to find the rest of the animal anyway... yuk x

Waffles, I also had to have an earring butterfly cut out of my earlobe, it was too small for the piercing. I wear hoops now
