Anyone lost this? On my backstep if it's yours!

So. Just come in through my back gate to find this on my doorstep....anyone missing a pigeon? Not your average bird, well looked after, has got ring etc but bloody thing won't let me get close enough to get details.

It's currently attacking my pots in hope of food. Am assuming due to high winds been blown off course and is knackered. I have chucked some food out on back step (randomly had some milled linseed in...once a Girl Guide, always a Girl Guide ) and shut in Sassycat (cos that wouldn't end well...I'd be hoovering up feathers for weeks!!!)...

So...anyone think they've lost something today? Or have suggestions of what I could do with it?

I am just about to put her to bed EDBD...for the last time! Better had be a successful homecoming for her tomorrow otherwise I will be gutted....She's def ready to go now, getting fed-up of being kept in poor thing. So at least I know she's fit and healthy I am drinking for medicinal purposes....it will be medicinal tea in the morning!

Thanks both. Will update on her travels tomorrow. It has only been a little over 4 since she turned up but kinda feels like she's part of Sassy-towers now....gonna be a DGazzie shaped hole tomorrow!

Hopefully all will be well and I will have a good update from her owner to share over the weekend....fingers crossed 🙏

Morning! So this is it. The big day has arrived! Freeeeeeeeedom...for both DGazzie and Sassycat Just put Gazzie up on the bench so she has a room with a view for now and have cleaned out her temp home so she's all ready for her journey. Will update as the day goes on...she's getting picked up around 9.30am... Wish her luck & safe travels!!!

She's just been picked up....friend will be heading off in an hour or so....all being well I should have news of her release this aft about 2pm-ish....

He's just been WhatsApp'd strict instructions to do so! Apparently his birds are in a race from Newark again today exactly the same as last week....wonder if I will have any more visitors on Monday night???

And I would just like to say that this was my first proper thread (others I've started have been continuations or games) and I honestly didn't think anyone would be interested in my little guest so thanks all....in a sometimes bleak world there will always be pigeons and mumsnet!!
