Anyone lost this? On my backstep if it's yours!

So. Just come in through my back gate to find this on my doorstep....anyone missing a pigeon? Not your average bird, well looked after, has got ring etc but bloody thing won't let me get close enough to get details.

It's currently attacking my pots in hope of food. Am assuming due to high winds been blown off course and is knackered. I have chucked some food out on back step (randomly had some milled linseed in...once a Girl Guide, always a Girl Guide Grin) and shut in Sassycat (cos that wouldn't end well...I'd be hoovering up feathers for weeks!!!)...

So...anyone think they've lost something today? Or have suggestions of what I could do with it? Confused

She'll be back with you tomorrow

mogloveseggs · 10/06/2017 19:09

Rooting for you dgazzie!

ShelaghTurner · 10/06/2017 19:10

I would have thought she'd be home by now. Unless she's waiting for a South West train in to Waterloo from New Malden, in which case she's screwed Grin

SassynSane · 10/06/2017 19:53

Just msgd her owner....waiting on a response 😱😓🙏

New Malden to Stratford is about an hour for a pigeon. Here's hoping she's on the way back to yours Sassy.

Gizmo79 · 10/06/2017 20:01

Waiting with incredibly baited breath!

Treesinbloom · 10/06/2017 20:02

Lovely thread. Thank you OP

caz323 · 10/06/2017 20:04

This is nail biting! C'mon DGazzie!

MimsyBorogroves · 10/06/2017 20:06

Just read the whole thread and I'm now HEAVILY invested.

SoupDragon · 10/06/2017 20:08

How long at pigeon speed is it from New Malden to the OP's house...?

OublietteBravo · 10/06/2017 20:22

Where are you Gazzie?

PotOfYoghurt · 10/06/2017 20:30

Sad poor DGazzie! Where is she?

SassynSane · 10/06/2017 20:38

No sign yet still time 🙏🤞

Just had the above response from Gazzie's owner.....shit! We should have organised drones....or someone to deliver her from New Malden to her coop....arghhhhh! Can't. Take. Much. More!!!

Sassy, can you walk to the shop?? Running low on Wine right now is not good. If we're in for a long wait, Wine is required. When (please God), we get our good news, you need Wine to celebrate! You can justify it! Grin

SassynSane · 10/06/2017 20:47

There's always the, um, emergency bottle of Prosecco in the fridge Caz! And this might be that emergency!!!

He's promised to let me know if she shows....

....hang on there's a pigeon on a tv aerial I can see from my window that looks a little similar ....can't be....can it????

UrsulaPandress · 10/06/2017 21:06

Yeah. Hope so.

OublietteBravo · 10/06/2017 21:07
Shock

still fine and dry here, she might just be enjoying the evening

SassynSane · 10/06/2017 21:13

Think it was wistful thinking on my part. Opened window and called. It looked at me like Confused...went out back to check again but no sign in garden...think I am so desperate for good news I am checking out every goddamn pigeon! It's like am inspecting a pigeon identity parade...there are a fair amount of pigeons round here too!

Oh DGazzie, I just want you to get home safely Sad I feel bad for letting her go now ... Ok....positive thoughts....

caz323 · 10/06/2017 21:18

Oh, sigh! T'was probably a mirage, Sassy! I think she will get home, just seems to be taking a long time. Don't feel bad, lovely.

SassynSane · 10/06/2017 21:24

It's ridiculous I know but I feel so responsible for her! At least I know she was well rested and fed before her release so she has a decent chance... Come on little pidge! 🙈🙉🙊
