AIBU to leave it out overnight?

I have a load of washing on the line. OH just checked it and he says its still pretty wet. No sun here (Grrr) so there is no chance it will dry before we have to go out in an hour.

I say it's not a big deal, we can just leave it on the line overnight and get it in tomorrow when it's dry

He says if it's left out overnight it won't stay clean.

Solve this clash of opinions please dearest vipers (I have no idea how it would get dirty on the clothes line)

KitKat according to this thread you will suffer the horrors of it being darked on

Even boil washing won't remove it being DARKED ON. Once it's DARKED ON its game over for the washing.

NEVER LEAVE YOUR WASHING TO GET DARKED ON.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 10/04/2017 18:00

i leave mine out in the summer....even been know to peg a load out before I go to bed, but this time of year, it just tends to get a bit dank overnight

IamRonnieBiggs · 10/04/2017 18:02

I have miserable period pains and this has cheered me right up 😋

But what do the badgers do.....?

emwithme · 10/04/2017 18:02

My first thought was "you can't. It will get darked on and spiders will rub their willies all over it "

This used to happen to me but now everything gets mumble dried due to lack of washing line.

KitKat1985 · 10/04/2017 18:03

Ahh just read the thread properly. Blush

What can I say? I'm a bloody laundry ninja and I am happy to face the dangers caused by the laundry being darked on. Grin

JustCallMeKate · 10/04/2017 18:04

mumble dried due to lack of washing line

Mumble dried 😂

AwaywiththePixies27 · 10/04/2017 18:05

And spiders will drag their willies over it.....

😂

It'll be fine. But on our street we're all a bunch of chavs who leave ours out on the line overnight often Wink

How are they going to get dirty exactly? They probably won't dry completely though because of all the dew the next morning.

happypoobum · 10/04/2017 18:05

The badgers drag their bollocks on it Wink

JustCallMeKate · 10/04/2017 18:05

Here's the proof that DARKED ON must be avoided at all costs.

AIBU to leave it out overnight?
SmileEachDay · 10/04/2017 18:06

But...but Kitkat.. it will have dark on it...from being darked on* Shock

LittleGreyMeow · 10/04/2017 18:12

But what do the badgers do.....?

Well nothing, that would be crazy!!

Badgers are far too busy to be messing about with washing Grin

Revenant · 10/04/2017 18:15

But all of this - spider willies, bat hair, badger bollocking and being DARKED ON- pales into insignificance next to the horror of bringing it in and putting it out again!

DoomGloomAndKaboom · 10/04/2017 18:17

It will get moonlight on it. You'll never get that off.

And what does moonlight attract? Werewolves.

Basically, you'll end up eaten by one that's snuck into the duvet cover, or it'll turn you and dh into werewolves. I hope you like each other hairy.

Leave it out overnight at your peril. You could be killed, or sleep on spider jizz and get pregnant with a thousand spider babies. I know which I'd rather.

moonchild77 · 10/04/2017 18:18

I got up early, put a load of washing in and hung it out this morning. The farmer in the field behind me has spread shit all over the field so my washing will now stink of poo.
I'm going to have to bring it in and re-wash it.
First world problems I tell ya!

In reply to your question, if you leave it out it will have that outsidey smell to it. Although hopefully not the poo smell that mine will have!

PuppyMonkey · 10/04/2017 18:20

Not only darked in, spider willies, badgers and werewolves, it will get all cold. Sad

Poor laundry. Sad

Mombie2016 · 10/04/2017 18:21

Ffs darked on I am screaming at that Grin

Violetcharlotte · 10/04/2017 18:22

I'm in hospital recovering after a minor op this afternoons and this thread has really made me laugh and cheered me up Grin

I too have a fear of leaving washing out in the dark!

MyLittleBoyBlue · 10/04/2017 18:26

Haven't rtft, frankly the subject matter is far too important to bother doing that. Op your washing will get darked on if you leave it outat night, spiders will drag their willies on it. How have you got through life not knowing this? Fetch it in immediately, if not sooner. What ever can you be thinking.

museumum · 10/04/2017 18:27

My mum used to tell me it would be SOAKED by dew. Soaked I tell you!

Scottishchick39 · 10/04/2017 18:29

In the summer I frequently hang a few loads of washing out in the evening as I don't have time to hang it out before work in the morning. Never had any spiders willies on them lol.

Marmalade85 · 10/04/2017 18:31

Oh shit. Just got home and checked my overnight washing and it's COVERED in moonbeams and owl snot. There's even two snails building social housing inside my duvet cover Shock

That you know about, Scottish

Spider jizz is invisible to the naked eye. Get one of those special lights forensics use and it'll be like a tsunami on your sheets...

LonginesPrime · 10/04/2017 18:37

Ghosts put it over their heads and pretend to be people pretending to be ghosts.

Ok, so you had me at spiderwillies, but this ^ destroyed me...Grin
