to think that I might still be able to find a small monkey toy to replace the one my ds lost 3 three years ago?

DS loves monkeys and has collected them since he was tiny. This one was his favourite- it used to be mine, and was over 20 years old so they don’t sell them any more. He somehow took it into town with him and lost it well over three years ago now. He’s now 6. But at regular intervals since then he has cried again about losing it. The latest time was this week. I have scoured the internet, ebay and car boot sales but have never been able to find one. I tried contacting the shop it was bought from but that hit a deadend too. I think it was a ‘russ’ something. The actual monkey was about the size of a toddler’s hand- it was tiny, probably only about 4 inches long and it was filled with tiny beans.

I know I need to let it go, and I know its one of life’s lessons, but I would so love to track one down for him. If anyone has any bright ideas or has one of these monkleys (I would pay obviously!!), please let me know

Lovely story. Got something in my eye. I'd be the same and I'm old if the Andrex dog I got in the 1980s was lost x

This is so lovely, I'm so pleased for your little boy :) My 5yo son has a beloved small monkey as well and I would be gutted if anything happened to him. My heart has been well and truly warmed by this story :)
