The Beginning

The Middle

The end?

So... Long story short... There are horses, soon there should not be (I'm not good at summaries, they make me sound unreasonable).

We have a date! This Saturday! The horses should be taken away to pastures new, so we can roam the meadow in gingham dresses (dh looks good in a gingham dress) and we can have FuckYouFestivals to our heart's content.

There will be choirs and drums and bands and weapons and stackable goats and so much more!

Anyone who's read the threads knows I love a lurker. I can you see you out there. Go on, jump in while the thread's all new and shiny. You know you want to Wink

HARLAYLOOOOOYAAARRRR! UW and UHorses are fecking orf

I'm totally serious about coming to IFYF if it goes ahead Grin
As long as it's held in the middle of May, but not on the 11th because I have a wedding in London.
I'll even wear an Australian flag like a cape while hitchhiking into Wales.

Oh, I'm so pleased the interlopers are leaving. Wheeee!

CouthyMow · 11/02/2014 04:23

Delurking...Wink

Abzs · 11/02/2014 04:51

Yes, good point Glaikit. With the horses gone the fence posts won't be needed for actual fencing.

Unless stackable goats need fenced in?

Morgause · 11/02/2014 06:26

Get some fainting goats, they are great fun.

bubblebabeuk · 11/02/2014 06:39

When is D day? This Saturday,....... wish you video it for us lol

bubblebabeuk · 11/02/2014 06:40

Argh its too early......
I meant wish you COULD video it for us lol or do a live webcam feed Pmsl

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 11/02/2014 07:23

Thomaslynn, :) well you should be! Or just pop over for a cuppa anyway. It's not like we're miles from anywhere Hmm Grin

Couthy, huzzah! Hurray for delurking!

Abzs, they might be useful for containing dcs and drunken mners.

Morgause, I'd forgotten they existed. We have to get some!

Bubble Grin I'm not sure I could do it without being seen. But i like your thinking!

Darnley · 11/02/2014 07:27

Have you seen the tree climbing goats ? They look good fun

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 11/02/2014 07:41

We should have them too, Darnley, it'll be a multi-goatural festival :)

MarjoryStewartBaxter · 11/02/2014 07:51

Delurking to say woo hoo! And now back to lurking....

Stropzilla · 11/02/2014 07:57

Shameless place marking and promise to lurk no more!

DejaVuAllOverAgain · 11/02/2014 07:59

You'll have to set up hidden cameras and film the event Grin

EauRouge · 11/02/2014 08:04

Yes! Brilliant news! So glad you have a date for the horses going. Enjoy your meadow, I hope you find it lovely and relaxing.

LilyTheSavage · 11/02/2014 08:18

I'm stlll lurking away here. (De-lurking again now). Good luck for the weekend. Hope you've got a bottle of something lovely and fizzy to celebrate. Would it be inappropriate for you to start the celebratory dancing while they're loading?
Hurrah!

Meerka · 11/02/2014 08:19

I cant believe you thought we might be bored ... ofc we arent'! it's the nicest thread on mumsnet!

Excellent news about the weekend ... lets hope they hold to it :)

FrankelInFoal · 11/02/2014 08:23

Not really a lurker as I posted several times on the other threads, so I'll make this a shameless placemark instead Grin

Peekingduck · 11/02/2014 08:24

I do far too much lurking on the main horse forums. I'm finding it quite interesting that I haven't seen any pleas for help with this situation. Fingers crossed for the weekend!

ChasedByBees · 11/02/2014 08:25

Fe lurking again and sending 'get the horses out' vibes for Saturday.

This post has been brought to you by autocorrect. I quite like Fe-lurking.

Jux · 11/02/2014 08:29

I love fainting goats. Yes, we must have many of them. Do they stack too, or is it just stackable goats which stack? It would be really good to have stackable goats which faint AND climb trees, or fainting goats which are stackable - we could teach them to climb trees while we're there, couldn't we? In fact, we could probably teach them to walk a tightrope and do airborne acrobatics. Especially the fainting goats. They strike me as by far the most intelligent.

ThomasLynn · 11/02/2014 08:43

If I can get there, I will. I have no idea how far away London is from Wales but I'm fairly certain that I'll find a way. I won't drive though. Apparently it takes more than three hours to drive like 100ks and that's fairly bullshit.

ThomasLynn · 11/02/2014 08:45

Don't you get screaming goats as well? I don't remember.

And there must be Three Billy Goats Gruff.

We can find a hairy-handed-trucker to be the Troll Under The Bridge.

thegreylady · 11/02/2014 09:16

I'll be there in the cold curls of mist in the corner of the field. Watch out for the spectral arm touching the back of UW's neck Grin . I won't spook the horses though we don't want anyone saying they won't load into box/trailer or whatever. Then I will rematerialise in my red duffel coat ready for a toast.

Jux · 11/02/2014 09:40

We can build a bridge for the Troll to live under from the fence posts which aren't being used for cabers. FYC, after FYFest you would have a lovely wild flower meadow filled with fainting screaming tree-climbing stackable goats, butterflies, bees and a pretty bridge with a Troll. Now, he would keep the horses away forever.

How lovely!

Jux · 11/02/2014 09:42

Mind you, I've just seen a kangaroo on tv, and it is very, very cute. I know someone's coming from Oz (can't remember who - sorry!) so maybe they could bring one or two with them? The roos could put on a boxing display.

mistlethrush · 11/02/2014 09:44

I think that fainting goats climbing trees - or even stacking - might be a bad idea...

I used to live next to a stud farm and opposite a racing stable. Frankly, if they could get extremely fit, fizzy, 2 and 3yo tbs into a horse box, they should be able to manage a 20 - 30 yo smallish stallion. I hope she's got some bales with her as it would help to make a barrier either side of the ramp...

I will be out at a rehearsal and then concert (Gerontius) on Saturday afternoon, so I'm hoping to come home to some good news. I will be checking up!
