Pumpkins :) at least my buttocks were well covered. You poor thing. You definitely made the right decision. I hope it was a damn fine takeaway.

yo missy.

bummer with the counsellor. i hope you've found a way to use that hour for yourself anyway.

sorry if it's not your kind of thing but am linking a page full of guided meditation/mindfulness podcasts. i find things like this are good for taking time out, calming things down and getting a hold of the 'stupid' thoughts/voices/whaddeva ya want to call those buggers.

it's here - no harm in trying.

careful with that 'stupid' word by the way! sometimes better to give those demons a hug than a slap - the former sometimes soothes them enough to go to sleep whereas the latter provokes them into shouting louder x

NumptyNameChange · 28/01/2014 19:14

AND i may take some of my own medicine and listen to one of those myself soon. work is stress tastic at the minute and i'm one who has to be careful to keep my head away from the dark side Smile take care of yourself, be kind.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 19:20

Betty, I try to be upbeat, I like to think in funny (although my sense of humour is rather odd), thank you.

Border, I'll make a point of listening to some loud music tomorrow.

Latiflete, ukes and seeds? What more could I want! Come on down.

Wingdefence, hopefully we'll find that one person we click with sometime soon :)

Boschy, the besties really are the best. I wish they were all nearer.

Marvellous, I'll meet them soon I'm sure.

Thegreylady, you are so kind and lovely. But I might still be a bit too far.

Ida gnomes really are disturbing

Pumpkins, which welsh songs do you know?!

Coldtea, I think I get bogged down by the big picture, you're right. Small steps.

Glaikit, right back at you buddy :)

Wing, cake it is :)

I'm going to fake it til I make it, just one more time.

So... Who's drawing up the playlist?! Are the seeds going to be sprinkled during or after? Is anyone going to make an effigy for burning on the bonfire?

We've got food, toilets, a generator... What have we forgotten? What do we still need?!

Yeah, it wasn't my finest moment, but it was funny. Googling baby hedgehogs always cheers me up.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 19:22

Numpty, you're right, thanks for the link. I wrote a pretentious poem once about listening to the voices because they're just insecure and want to be heard.

Pumpkins :)

PumpkinsMummy · 28/01/2014 19:24

Oh no I don't know any songs in welsh language (apart from national anthem)(blush)(sad) I can just sing in an abstract way

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 19:25

Pumpkins, I'll teach you a couple and we can belt them out. Nothing to Blush about.

TheSkiingGardener · 28/01/2014 19:33

I think we need a welsh songbook, your poem, set to music, and a FYF anthem.

We could learn them all before we arrived.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 19:37

Skiing, sounds like an excellent plan. We'll see in the dawn with the FYF anthem.

My fave joke -
What's the difference between a duck?

One of its legs is both the same.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 20:00

Mushroom Grin I have not heard that joke and I like it!

EauRouge · 28/01/2014 20:04

A skeleton walks into a bar and orders a beer and a mop.

TheSkiingGardener · 28/01/2014 20:05

2 parrots on a perch, one says to the other "How do you drive this thing?"

TheSkiingGardener · 28/01/2014 20:07

Oh hang on, 2 jokes just collided.

Try again

2 parrots on a perch, one says to the other "Can you smell fish?"

2 goldfish in a tank, one says to the other "How do you drive this thing?"

Sorry

Slinks off

Bogeyface · 28/01/2014 20:08

How do you keep a wanker in suspense?

IdaBlankenship · 28/01/2014 20:08

Why did the fish blush? Because it saw the ship's bottom.

NumptyNameChange · 28/01/2014 20:08

just sing

Bogeyface · 28/01/2014 20:09

Skiiing Your joke collision really appealed to my rather abstract sense of humour, I might pinch that :o

Pixel · 28/01/2014 20:10

When I was in junior school we had to learn Silent Night in welsh. God knows why, I lived in Brighton Hmm.

IdaBlankenship · 28/01/2014 20:11

Skiing Grin Grin

Pixel · 28/01/2014 20:11

Btw our version was:- what's the difference between a duck? One of its legs is close together.

BerylStreep · 28/01/2014 20:11

Not a joke but I have a wardrobe malfunction confession a la PumpkinMummy.

I had a lunch date with a very gorgeous (and amazing shag) tri-lingual Wink Brazilian CEO in Lima. Fabulous Pacific cliff top v posh restaurant. I was wearing tres chic linen trousers.

Excused myself to go to the loo, and when I was done, went to tie the drawstring on my trousers, which snapped. Cue blind panic in the toilets, trying to force the bloody thing back into the waistband, to no avail. I eventually emerged with a sort of Wurzel Gummage ensemble, but the trousers kept coming free, and when it was time to leave, I had to walk out of the restaurant clutching my trousers round my waist and looking distinctly eccentric.

NumptyNameChange · 28/01/2014 20:22

beryl - i swear brazilians have special powers - in languages and sex.
