wow, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, can't believe they have found a field, so they will actually leave hassle free.

(dancing round living room in painty clothes - hmm I could come and paint you a backdrop for the stage I am greta with large amounts of paint and a paintbrush!)

Anyone else ridiculously pleased to see their name on wings list and think you have joined something here?

trixymalixy · 27/01/2014 22:33

Sounding positive!

ShoeJunkie · 27/01/2014 22:37

Oh and forgot, I have a recorder that I used to be able to play that I can bring to join in with the recorder ensemble!

TheABC · 27/01/2014 22:43

waves pompoms Well done, Chris!

Your field awaits and it will be blessedly empty this spring just in time for FYF.

If you do decide to have a RL festival, I will be there and will help out with the clean up afterwards. [Grin].

Pom poms
Ra ra, ra ra, go FYC!

Jux · 27/01/2014 23:01

We could use that mask as a fencing mask. Are there any re-enactment groups which do fencing? Epees at the ready! Maybe we could improvise them with some fallen branches cunningly whittled?

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 27/01/2014 23:16

Jux it will be recorded for posterity :) you had me at "clean the loos"

Renter, both horses indeed :)

Stropzilla and dangerous, phonesex and shoom, it really is great! Putting your names together sounds like a day well spent.

Cheddar, the optimism is the nicest thing I've felt in a while.

Eddielizzard, isn't it just one of them there coinckidences Hmm

Wing you're a star

Saggy, your advice has been invaluable it really has

Mouldy, you're in, and glad to have entertained! Grin

Really1234, very relieved (although I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch)

Beryl, this thought had crossed my mind. I hope the new person knows what they're getting themselves in to.

Pixel, it really was. Why would you keep it?!

Jadzia, it's a pervasive little ear worm!

Mushroom, you're right. We shall only shout, "F in Fest" I promise.

Greylady, I really do love you and your haunting ways. You always make me smile :)

Halfwildling, me too. I think it's a beautiful celebration of the menfolk and their relationship with their dcs, and the womenfolk and their relationship with Wine

aderynlas · 28/01/2014 00:18

Really pleased for you FYC. Will come to the party with some nice welsh poppies in a pot for your meadow xxxx

ThomasLynn · 28/01/2014 02:54

Well stoked!
Your paddock will be de-horsed in time for summer!

I'll be in the UK for a week over May...I shall bring my wellies and find a way to get to Wales for about $3.50.
I think that pretty much leaves hitchhiking.
I shall bring kangaroo paw and some banksia but you'll have to keep them warm and dry-ish.

bubblebabeuk · 28/01/2014 05:17

Things are definately getting better..... so pleased for you xxx

MarvellousMechanicalMouseOrgan · 28/01/2014 08:25

I'd forgotten that in addition to my saxophone I could provide a group of adults with learning disabilities who are fabulous if somewhat unpredictable on the handchimes.

I'd also like to propose that in the spirit of the Lord Of The Rings cast we all get tattoos to commemorate the experience of FuckYouFest. I'm thinking of a severed horse's head where the blood drips into the shape of FYF. Shall I book slots for everyone?

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 09:04

Aderyn, welsh poppies are one of my favourites :)

Thomaslynn, warm?! Dry?! Ha! You're more than welcome.

Bubble, I really hope this is signs of things to come.

Marvellous, I love the hand chimes, and they should be unpredictable. Book us all in. The world needs to know that we were there.

mistlethrush · 28/01/2014 09:47

Can we not spell the first word of the Festival in a way that is appropriate to the location? Something with lots of llllls and the odd gh but still get it coming out right if you know how to pronounce things?

Jux · 28/01/2014 10:11

We were left with several antique chairs which are rather lovely and a mirror which is perfect for the end of the corridor. The lady was an antique dealer. Also about 50 large plastic flowerpots, a strange plaque woth a rude poem inscribed on it and a lion's head with a spout in its mouth. Shall I bring them?

mistlethrush · 28/01/2014 10:13

I found a silver teapot in the crawl space in the roof accessed through the little door in my bedroom in the house we moved to when I was 10. And some really tiny, clay, Chinese figures.

PumpkinsMummy · 28/01/2014 10:18

ok Chris, you have inspired me to de-lurk and post for the first ever time on mumsnet

I'm so chuffed for you, and a bit gutted for myself as I am ever so slightly over invested in this thread and don't know what I will do when it is no more!

I am now off to find the best place on my stretchmarks body for the fuck you fest mumsnet tattoo

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 10:25

Mistle, :) it's an idea. I wouldn't mind a teapot and clay figures.

Oohahbird, I'll have to go and add my bits to that thread.

Jux, bring them! We'll make a shrine.

I'm trying to think of all the stuff... Loads of crockery, pots and pans, all the broken filthy white goods, an armchair, a large table and 5 chairs, an enormous ornate, scrolltop sideboard with mirror that must have come from a hotel, 3 display cabinets (all broken), a kitchen full of stuff including reading glasses, radiotherapy mask, lots of medicines, curtain making equipment, an old hobby horse, broken chest freezer, broken piano, several tool kits, electric drill, cat, horse, caravan, milking stuff for goats...

I can't even remember half of it. Ironically on one scrap of paper was a phone number with "house clearance" on it.

Oh and in the attic? A bidet.

OP posts:
FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 10:28

Pumpkins Grin hurray! Another delurker! I know you're all out there

Although I'm now very optimistic, there's still I chance things will go horribly wrong for me, so you can always hold on to that Grin

Don't count your empty fields until the horses have been forcibly removed.

God I hope they go without any more fuss.

OP posts:
DameDeepRedBetty · 28/01/2014 10:41

Bit worried... the way this thread's filling up, if FYF is going to be at the end of it that could be as early as next week. And while I'm up for festival-ing in most conditions (Beautiful Days the year the tow trucks to get pulled out of the mudbath carpark were a ten hour queue and there were no loos springs to mind) I don't think I'm up for a field somewhere in Wales in February!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 10:43

Betty you're right. It'll have to wait for the good weather . The way it's pouring down out there at the moment it's a bit of a quagmire.

OP posts:
WingDefence · 28/01/2014 10:46

Morning all - the Official List is continuing to fill up nicely!

Jux, are you sure you've got enough room for all the stuff you're bringing? Confused

Right, work shouts calls.

Keep your chin up FYChris!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/01/2014 10:57

Thanks Wing :)

Having a stupid wobble today.

Stupid anxiety. Stupid voices.

Really stupid self pity.

Why don't I have any friends?

OP posts:
AngelaDaviesHair · 28/01/2014 11:02

You've got plenty on here.

mistlethrush · 28/01/2014 11:08

Thanks FYC and Brew and Cake.

Forget about the horses for the moment. You've done what can be done for now, so there's no point in worrying about 'what if' and 'when' there. You can get that box back out of the bottom of the box that you put in the shed and fill with firewood and then lock the door at the end of March and not before! Grin
