PhoneSexWithMalcolmTucker · 27/01/2014 16:50

Hoorah Grin and indeed Gin

shoom · 27/01/2014 16:55
Grin
TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 27/01/2014 16:57

Hurray! Hurray for finally being de-horsed, nearly! The positivity! The optimism! Hurray!

Glaikit, love the song. I still know the entire Macarena dance, come to think of it.

The Morris Minor did get sold, although not on Ebay as this was 1998 and none of us knew there was such a thing. No idea what Dad got for it but I hope it was good.

eddielizzard · 27/01/2014 17:09

haha amazing how the thought of having to stump up for fencing has enabled them to find a field - just when there were none to be had. what serendipity!

WingDefence · 27/01/2014 17:12

Jux and FYChris I'll keep a separate list, don't worry, and will update as and when required Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 27/01/2014 17:27

WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mouldypineapple · 27/01/2014 17:35

Phew! Just caught up with this after missing it a few days and brilliant news! Oh and I'm so coming to the festival. Dd1 is in Cardiff (so vaguely near), she has a violin she has no clue how to play, and Dd2 has an array of pre-school musical things and a desire to go camping NOW so we'll pack up and head out your way grabbing DD1 from Cardiff on the way! Yeehah!!!

Mouldypineapple · 27/01/2014 17:35

And considering I know pretty much nothing about horses and the like this has kept me well entertained!

TheSkiingGardener · 27/01/2014 18:25

Can I be a belated attendee for FYF? Can bring a badly tuned guitar and an optimistic attitude to singing?

Wonderful that both horses will be moving soon.

OohAahBird · 27/01/2014 18:29

That is amazing news, woohoo.

Does the macarena to glaikit's new words.

The only thing that has me worried is what I will do when this is all sorted and this thread comes to an end.

It cheers me up no end Grin

UniS · 27/01/2014 18:43

Hurrah.

ThePearShapedToad · 27/01/2014 18:50

Hurrar!!!! Well done Chris and your DH!

I can contribute bird seed cakes for your meadow if you'd like some? Or banana cake for you?

really1234 · 27/01/2014 18:59

Great update. You must be relived. Well done.

BerylStreep · 27/01/2014 19:06

Brilliant news!

(wonders if they are paying for the new field?)

Pixel · 27/01/2014 19:29

Dh runs Karaoke for a living and could bring all his gear but I guess now they've agreed to leave you won't need his services Wink

It's basically a big metal cage shaped to a face. That's horrible! Makes me think of room 101 .

JadziaSnax · 27/01/2014 20:35

Yayyy Chris, that's great news. Glaikit, love the song Grin. I now have Macarena as an earworm.

MushroomSoup · 27/01/2014 20:59

I'm very sorry to have to put a damper on FYFest but, in my professional capacity of primary Head, I do have to say I'm concerned about how many mumsnetters are going to be in your field meadow, screeching FUCK YOU FESTIVAL.

Will nobody think of the children?

I propose that we put a slightly more educational slant on FYFest. Let's make it a spelling lesson.

We can all run around hooting "there is an F in Festival!"

thegreylady · 27/01/2014 21:03

Woooooooooooooooooooo -------woooooooooooooo-----

halfwildlingwoman · 27/01/2014 21:07

I love Mumsnet.
This is sounding good. V pleased for you OP.
I have a DF and a DP and several BIL that can sit outside tents being curmudgeonly and watching the DC while we all have fun. (sort of seeing Fuckyoufest as a matriarchal feminist PND-curing celebration for women only)

growingolddicustingly · 27/01/2014 21:17

Whoop whoop! Fabulous news Chris and MrChris. In RL I shall be at Green Man in the Brecon Beacons this year again. If that is anywhere near you I'll buy you both a small sherbert

PedantMarina · 27/01/2014 21:38

Brilliant news, FYC!

Wing, you clearly have too much time on your hands. oh, and Ah adores ya.

OK, in the interest of considering the children, why not strip the name right back to:

Feistival.

Munxx · 27/01/2014 21:47

So chuffed for you Chris!

MiscellaneousAssortment · 27/01/2014 21:52

This is totally AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Well done and well done and well done again :)

JerseySpud · 27/01/2014 22:28

I'll come to the party! I shall bring my 2 year old who believe shes is Princess Holly and wants to create magic jelly and my Beaver Scouts. There is 30 of them. They are very loud.
