Oh Wiggins, oh Bradley
I love you quite madley
You look tres sexee
In the yellow jersey
Vous etes tres bon
Avant le peloton
With your mates Cav and Froome
To Paris you'll zoom
Do your side burns help you steer?
When you win I will shed a tear.

Well, I mostly post in adult fiction on here - most of my twitter feed is full of fanfic writers! The cycling following is just real life battering it's way through!

He does have pretty eyes, Lost, yes.

The roundup montage to The Who's Won't Get Fooled Again at the end of the highlights show has just had me almost in tears. My god, what an achievement. Just fabulous.

ThePan · 25/07/2012 22:17

I'm just not sure Team GB have done enough training.....

and that car I mentioned before, near me...it disappeared in last couple of days...one day I will knock on the door.

evilgiraffe · 25/07/2012 22:49

I guess they haven't spent much time together as a whole unit. I reckon Wiggins, Froome, and Cav should be okay though! I do like David Millar too, he comes across as a lot of fun. No idea about the other guy though.

evilgiraffe · 25/07/2012 22:50

Eeee, the car has totally just gone down south for the training camp! You HAVE to knock on the door! And take pictures of whoever lives there!

(sounding more like a stalker every minute)

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 25/07/2012 23:21

Am also following Voigt now on Twitter thank you. He is super cool. I don't really 'get' twitter yet. It is handy to know what the people you are stalking watching are up to. I'm not sure anyone will want to know what I am up to though? If I post does that mean they (Wiggo, etc) read my stuff?? Confused Blush

Pan - that is a hell of a list.

Hoping everyone sticks here so we can get though it together.

HalfMum - I think JV had about 9,000 followers....so the chances of him actually reading your tweets is...erm.....modest! As essential reading for a world class bikist as they will be.Grin

ThePan · 25/07/2012 23:31

forgot to say I was a big Biscuit fan, back in the day.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 25/07/2012 23:32

Exactly ThePan! Although could have come up with dishwasher nonsense myself...

surely a message from Queen to Braders means a knighthood. All other sporting heroes get Sirs and Dames etc. OBE just wouldn't cut it.

ThePan · 26/07/2012 00:10

A threat to our boys

evilgiraffe · 26/07/2012 07:02

Nah, HalfMum, if they're not following you they won't be routinely reading your tweets. However, if you mention them by name in a tweet, it'll show up in their mentions - I'm always hopeful that they'll see and reply to me :)

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 26/07/2012 07:54

It's going to take me a while to get the hang of it. I am not sure about other people reading stuff I have written. IYKWIM. NOt you lot, OTHERS.

Anyway, I am revving up to another ode to spur on our lads.

Also need to mention how ace Mrs Wiggins is. 2 young DC's to deal with plus supporting Wiggo who is away alot. Great work lady.

Brad has already got a CBE. Surely he is on the Sir List now.

evilgiraffe · 26/07/2012 08:26

Oh! We are missing a trick here, aren't we? We should be writing Olympic stuff shouldn't we? I am a bit slow sometimes...

With Twitter, the thing is to only post stuff you don't mind sharing with the world. I'm mostly fangirling, there's not much real life stuff on there (aside from the ongoing infertility updates) - it's largely rather impersonal. I reckon most of the internet is NOT populated by crazies though, so I'm probably safe.

Oh, and my legs are fine this morning! I can tell I did some work when going up/down stairs, but on the whole I am not broken, hurrah!

evilgiraffe · 26/07/2012 09:33

I love this picture - history in the making, right there. I'm still getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 26/07/2012 09:37

Well done evil.

Just working on a few rhymes...

I can't wait for Saturday - my whole day is planned around this race. It's a scary long list of riders though, I really hope the boys can hold it together like they did the Worlds last year.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 26/07/2012 10:20

evil that is my fave pic too . We need another one like that down the mall.
frosty - it is a massive list but TdF had loads of riders in too and look what happened (albeit an ever so slightly longer race)!

CapuccinoCannoliLover · 26/07/2012 14:59

Hi fellow MNrs TdF/cycling fans! Ralph Hector was born at 11:01 on Tuesday morning. Labour not progressing (with Ds1 same thing so emerg cs) so had to make split sec decision to go for planned or try for longer....so cs it was. I was so close to calling him Bradley Mark Chris, but DH's annoyingly non-cycling fan BF's son is called Bradley so it was vetoed. Our surgeon said with two DSs we have two shots at TdF victory now though!

ThePan · 26/07/2012 15:08

And a big fat yellow jersey to you anyway, Capuccino!! Congratulations!

LostInWales · 26/07/2012 15:28

Chapeau Capuccino, many congratulations. I will put my first bet on Ralph Hector winning the TdF in 2025! Grin

I love that photo too! is my favourite though I am soppy Grin

maillotjaune · 26/07/2012 15:28

Congratulations Cappuccino! Great name anyway. Hope you can spend Saturday cuddling your baby and watching cycling.

evilgiraffe · 26/07/2012 15:56

No soppier than me, Lost! I'm a sucker for pretty boys cuddling

Congratulations Cappuccino! Fabulous news even without a TdF name :)

CapuccinoCannoliLover · 26/07/2012 16:57

Thanks guys, I'm tired, but he's a fab little thing so I'm smitten. DH wants to put one of his bikes in the nursery for subliminal messenging decor purposes.

SeashellsAllezModInYellowAllez · 26/07/2012 19:10

Congratulations Cappuccino!!!

So excited about Saturday, but I am worried about a breakaway taking hold before the box hill circuits and spoiling the party.

Pan are you up in red rose country with a yellow jersey wearer as a neighbour? I missed your earlier car post, would be fun it is was....
