Oh I could just eat a Venezia salad......tomato, lettuce, onions, cucumber, feta cheese, strips of chicken breast, croutons, crispy bacon, spicy chilli dressing, home made bread, washed down with a very large G & T, half a pint of Ouzo and a pint of Retsina.....not asking much really!!!

Oooohhh now there's an idea

shabbapinkfrog · 21/01/2012 17:50

At the risk of sounding like a very spoilt brat...........Em has chosen her wedding dress today. We have an amazing little shop in our town. They have the most beautiful dresses at very, very good prices. So!! Em and her Mum (obviously) and Ems best friend have been to this shop.

I wanted to go as well...... I really, really wanted to go. But I wasn't invited, and couldn't ask really. I just wanted a girly morning and wanted to watch Em trying on the dresses. BUT because I have always maintained I am not a bit girly and am here to fetch, carry, bring and babysit for everybody.........she wouldn't have even thought to ask me.

Yes I am being very spoilt, very unreasonable, very stupid.............I just wanted to look at the dress she has chosen

Hopstheduck · 21/01/2012 18:50

Oh Shabs, u should have asked her!

What happened in the end with the last multiple meet up?

shabbapinkfrog · 21/01/2012 18:59

I know but I couldn't. I know think I get on her tits chest sometimes and I don't want to be the MIL from hell. If I say things like 'Oh Lew you made me laugh then your Daddy used to do that when he was a little boy....' I get 'the look' you know 'the look' - the look that says 'I wish I didn't have to work and ask you to babysit. I should be at home with my little boy!!

I love her to bits and I am sure she quite likes me but I do get on her tits chest - I can tell!!! LOL

triplets · 21/01/2012 23:46

Awww Shabs........you can come and help me choose a frock if ever I get married again.Funny we should be talking about wedding dresses as mine is hanging up looking at me now. I brought it down from the loft, bunged it in the washing machine and it has come up not bad...............omg...........the waist is tiny...............what happened? I must have shrunk it in the machine:o Me thinks I should squeeze into it and be Miss Haversham, got the cobwebs:)

shabbapinkfrog · 23/01/2012 07:52

Trying to remember the 70's Grin Tank tops, flllllllllllllared trousers!! Maxi dresses, clumpy wedge shoes, suede sleeveless jackets with long fringes on, half mast jeans with a turnup on the outside, Bay City rollers tartan everywhere, errrrr give us a minute for my brains to wake up!!

shabbapinkfrog · 23/01/2012 07:57

Oooohhhh Saturday night fever!!! What about John Travoltas suit? White Jacket, waistcoat and trousers with a black shirt?

Hopstheduck · 23/01/2012 08:06

I was thinking the flares and frilyl shirt maybe, with tank top! Grin
One those mini dresses would work too, depending on legs, though god knows where you buy one of those!

I didn't know maxi dresses were 70s? I live in maxi dresses in the summer Smile

I was only born in 78 though, bit before my time Wink

shabbapinkfrog · 23/01/2012 08:13

1978!! The year I got married!!

Yep we had mini, midi and maxi dresses!! You either dressed like a skinhead, a hippy or a Tamla Motown reject!!
