Been to the docs today to talk cholesterol!! My test came back at 6.8, which is raised, she asked me loads of questions and then said I was low risk as I scored 10 and didn`t feel she needed to put me on them. After hearing about family history she has put me on a months trial, sat here awaiting side effects................anybody else take them?

I find Jan/Feb/March yuk months to get through.......and have dh b/day on the 17th Jan, kids b/day 27th Jan, then mums b/day 4th Feb and someone who shall remain nameless has a very big b/day on the 22nd March........

Forgot to add feeling very peed orf.............promised the boys Kinect for their b/day between them. Amazon selling for £79, put 1 in my basket until my money goes in the bank next Mon. Just checked and the price has gone up to £99............

Morning girls xx I dont feel very well.............whatever our Lew had over Xmas I have got it!!! Really heavy snotty cold and loads of mouth ulcers Yuk this is crap!!

Trips, my ds has the kinnect. I really wouldn't recommend it. It is very temperamental, keeps losing the players. you also need a huge space to play it in, not like a wii or the ps move which will work anywhere. You have to have at least two meters space to stand back away from it and ideally at least 2 meters across too. We had to rearrange ds room to accommodate it! Luckily we managed to make a long space but it wouldn't work in our lounge.

Spent most of the day trying to install a replacement cooker hob extractor. I was NOT in bed, I was in the kitchen makingciabatta bread in which I put sausages, fried onions, salad and mustard! - anyone else want one?

Hob finally sorted but too late to cook so an Indian takeaway on order rather than the salmon and asparagus en croute I had planned :(

Tired and v hunger!

Belated Happy New Year to all my mumsnet friends! Glad you managed to talk to some old friends over the past week. Been so busy here, boys and their dad still arguing then all feeling guilty and making up, I adjust trying to avoid getting embroiled in the all out shouting matches that seem to erupt on a regular basis. Boys back at school, James upset as they have sent a letter home advising us they are offering extra tuition for those who need it in advance of their SATs, and he has got 3 hour long sessions after school a week and Mike has only got to go for 1! Its his own fault, we kept warning him last term that he had to put more effort into his school and homework, but he kept slacking off, now he is going to pay!!
Waiting for our new bed and memory foam mattress to arrive, our Christmas pressie to ourselves to replace owe 15yr old bed, can't wait!
My new boss has finally arrived at work, seems nice, but time will tell, old boss was nice at first, then she showed her true colours.
My New Year wish is a harmonious, healthy, and finacially stable year for everyone I know.

Oh, and our "part time cat" has just wandered in again after spending Christmas and New Year wherever she disappears to, acting as if she is always here, demanding to be fed and the best seat on the sofa, upsetting all our other pets, cow!

That's it! Had it now, 11.30pm and boys STILL not gone to bed,J is apparently "forcing" M to watch a movie in his room! DH has yet again gone ballistic and now I am again trying to calm tantrums and tears from the two warring fractions! Then DH has had the cheek to say "it's all very well for you, sailing through the day oblivious to everything!" I am NOT oblivious, just refusing to get drawn into the hellish arguments that are my constant companions in this male dominated household!!!!

Oh Bubby...............you and I have sooo much in common, that could be my post, every night the same in our house, nightmare isn`t it?
