Was about to say, my instructions to our cat sitter are more original, better written and considerably longer than Yawn's literary offering.

It’s probably print on demand via Amazon, so she only pays a cut to Amazon each time it is printed. She may have paid someone of a site like fivrr to lay it out ready for printing, but it is possible to do the layout yourself too in MS Word.

I have self-published on amazon. I haven't paid a penny to anyone to do it, and if someone buys a book amazon take their cut before I see a penny. It was easier than I'd thought it would be to set it all up.

I think I might title her book 'Tipsy & Tom go to the Bank(ruptcy court)'

Twentytwentyhindsight · 02/11/2024 11:11

When I follow the link to the Amazon page for Yawn's Meisterwerk, it comes up as 'sponsored'- does this mean that she pays to have it up there?

Sugarplum48 · 02/11/2024 11:16

Think she has to pay per click

Twentytwentyhindsight · 02/11/2024 11:17

So every time I go onto that page costs her?

Sugarplum48 · 02/11/2024 12:00

That's how I've read it. She is claiming she is number 2 best seller in the amazon rankings now.

YouOKHun · 02/11/2024 12:02

At the moment Yawn is convinced she's got a best seller on her hands. The clicking and bouncing of many botwatchers may give the illusion of popularity but no reviews yet. I'm sure they will start to happen. @Twentytwentyhindsight yes I believe she pays a small sum each time someone clicks on the listing. I think how much she pays depends on a number of things but starts about 5p a click (I think).

I'll see if my computer nerd son can design a software bot to keep on clicking on the listing, I'm getting bored now Grin

ShrinkingViolent · 02/11/2024 12:45

Amazon's rankings are heavily weighted towards recent sales/sales in a short space of time which is why she's doing "well". Her overall ranking, according to an online calculator, suggests she may have sold around 70 in the last day. But I imagine she's probably bought a fair few of those herself, for vanity and to boost the sales. Will be interesting to see how the ranking drops with time. There are also about a million different categories so it is not hard to take the top ranking in a particular niche.

OhMyGiddyAunt · 02/11/2024 13:03

So how much of each £14.99 sale would she actually get once Amazon etc have taken their cut?

DeliaDeetz · 02/11/2024 13:53

Yawn has now added "author" to her FB bio! 😂
I'm sure the majority of her membership will probably buy the book as they will not want to be the only one in the group to not be using it as I'm sure it will feature heavily in there this month.
Can't really see how she will get any sales outside of her wee bubble, as others have mentioned, there are thousands of journals on sale and I doubt hers will offer anything different!

It's on her website as well

I’m sure your instructions to your cat sitter are a fine example of cat literature. I can only imagine that Yawn’s put the (cat) litter into literature with her offering.

YouOKHun · 02/11/2024 15:24

@OhMyGiddyAunt I think I read that Amazon takes about 40% of the £14.99 and pays the "author" who publishes via Amazon at the end of each month.

There are so many half baked manifesting journals on Amazon that no one seems to be interested in so I'm not surprised if buying ten copies of your own journal propels you into the bestseller league in the books no one ever buys category.

I'm glad to hear it's got a calendar and I hope it's a more useful calendar than Castle's journal that lead to the pulping of an entire print run due to errors. Pulping was always the destiny of Castle's journal but because Bruv couldn't colour within the lines they had to be binned almost immediately - how the botwatchers laughed. I hope Yawn is a better proof-reader of the journal than she is on SM. She has wisely left many pages blank so those pages should be error free.

Journal entry for Bruv, aged 40 and 17 days:

"Frinesday the 38th of November 2092 - today I dicked about with a camera and got my dad to dig a hole in the garden and pour his money into it. My sister is currently coaching herself in front of the mirror and tomorrow, (Satterday 92nd of November 2076) we will print certificates for a course we haven't made up yet".

Yawns mum has been on Amazon and bought a couple of copies as she's number one best seller now of all best sellers ever ever ever

MrsDilligaf · 02/11/2024 16:31

Yawn, it's not a Sunday Times Bestseller love.

YouOKHun · 02/11/2024 16:42

Scotbot has bought a copy. How many ways has Yawn rinsed Scotbot so far?

Is Yawn really so daft that she can't see what is happening? This time next week when the buying frenzy is over she will find her journal languishing among all the other similar wastes of paper.

Sugarplum48 · 02/11/2024 16:51

Yawn to deadbeat hubby "how do you feel now I'm exceptionally amazon famous a d suck...successful...followed by the quietest and weakest "excited" I've ever heard. There sat a man knowing his wife is a total bellend swamping them in further debt. I'd run whilst your age allows it love!

Sugarplum48 · 02/11/2024 17:03

Jesus she's acting like she's dome A list celeb. Your colouring book is a pile of shit you bellend. The falsehoods are never ending with this burke of a woman.

OhMyGiddyAunt · 02/11/2024 17:51

I wonder if Yawn realises that Uber's bloke lives right next to that cafe that they're sitting outside of (he lives above the row of shops where the cafe is judging by photos Uber posted from his flat a while ago).

Sugarplum48 · 02/11/2024 18:40

I work in a retail environment that's stocks these manifesting books/journals. We never sell any. We spend more time dusting them then putting them in the reduced section.

BangingOn · 02/11/2024 20:41

Interesting comment in a screenshot of a text conversation that Yawn has posted, saying that getting rid of her FL awards has made room for new ones and that’s why she is now a bestseller.

Sugarplum48 · 02/11/2024 20:44

It's all bullshit. She's grasping. It's actually painful to watch..the lack lustre response from that peghole husband said it all.

Butterflyfluff · 02/11/2024 21:36

Yawn has the hide of a rhinoceros - her accounts are there for all to see.

She owes her company more than £200k - how on earth do people not see through her bullshit?

And her husband is a complete sap - get some self respect man.

Must be nice to be able to create your own reality and make everyone live in it with you
